Excellent as always. Best meal in Brooklyn!
Cozy and lovely, homey.
Another spectacular dinner at Finch. I always have the chicken liver pate, which is the best I've ever had. My friends had the Blue fish special (not blue plate... ), and also the squid ink linguini with clams. Raves from them both. If you go, do NOT miss the Japanese sweet potatoes. You'll thank me big time.
Our waiter, Angela, is simply wonderful and the chef de cuisine, John, is just a genius.
This restaurant is good and getting too popular. I suggest not to go there for weekend because it gets too busy and you won't get good service for the price you pay. I wish they play better music. Food is great!
Sensational! We especially enjoyed the sweet potatoes, Swiss chard lasagna, smoked cod, and chocolate cake.
Such a lovely night!
Great experience! Highly recommended!
I have been to the Finch several times and have always been pleased. For me it is not for every day dining Because the cuisine is intricate and quite delicious. The staff is friendly the sommelier is exceptional Because I don’t live that close our use it for a special visitors and special occasions. If I am going out with a friend we love sitting at the bar the marble top bar
Great food. Great wine list. Great staff and ambiance
Wonderful and inventive foods, reasonably priced wine list with a good selection. Great, attentive service.
Not my first time here—it’s less than a block away from where I live. But always first-rate in every respect. Attractive place, friendly service, and marvelous food and wine. Not cheap but very very good.
Lovely ambience, innovative menu, warm service.
Pretty good. Seems like they put the same sauce on all the dishes though. 4 different dishes and 3 had the same sauce. Nice menu, but all tastes very similar, so not a lot of variety. Great service.
Kay makes us feel like family every time we are there! Arthur
Small portion given the price. The food is ok but not great
The food was not very whaoo.
If you are searching for extraordinary food, impeccable service, creativity and mind expanding ingredients (yes there are mushrooms but only legal ones), then The Finch is for you.
Gabe, the chef is inspired and inspirational. Truly a thrilling experience from start to finish. And the Tokai... divine.
We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience - the staff, the ambiance and most definitely the food.
Loved it. Fantastic food. Will come again
Chef Gabe is not only an amazing chef but an attentive host and the entire experience was amazing!
Everything was so excellent we ordered a few items twice! We are going to be regulars.
The Finch takes seasonality farther than most farm-to-table restaurants, with some obscure veggies that you won't find on other menus. For starters, we tore through the Japanese yams and Little Gem lettuce, while we could have skipped the bread. For mains, the buckwheat cavatelli was an intense burst of flavor, and the Swiss chard lasagna had a fantastic texture. The chocolate cake, for dessert, with rosemary and pine nuts worked wonderfully, but the cut is so small, you only get a few bites. The price is steep, but The Finch is a good pick for a special night out.
Wonderful! Will be back!!
As always, first-rate, original food that tastes great and looks beautiful. All served with friendly attention.
We had a fabulous evening. The food was amazing.
The Finch always delivers. Food is always beautifully prepared and delicious. Pro-tip: ask to sit at the back counter and watch the sous chef prepare all the plates. It’s like a ballet!
The cauliflower soup and arancini are out of this world. The service was great-- low key and attentive. As a vegetarian I was wowed with all of the options.
Pleasant atmosphere w/ open kitchen situated between front & back dining room, which seemed to have more ambiance, but the hostess/server insisted the front room was “more hip”. Starters were good...nice smoked trout and Japanese yams. However, mains were fine, but not stand-out...buckwheat cavatelli lacked flavor and the duck (which was highly recommended) was very small (almost appetizer portion)and quite chewy/not tender. Had a good mezcal cocktail. All was good/fine, but not Michelin-star.
While the food is skillfully prepared and tastes good, the presentation is somewhat precious, albeit artistic, and the value is questionable when the duck main course is $36 and is basically one half of a duck breast with a few small elements of vegetable. The most egregious sense of rip off were in the 2, desserts: a miniscule 2 inch square of chocolate "cake" plated with a 1/4 size cut in it which is angled and one wonders why, other than to make it look bigger on its plate, is this device adopted. The other dessert that was even more disappointing was the lemon souffle type thing that had the consistency of deflated egg whites.
We had two other issues; one with the wine list which was very overpriced and the delivery of the bill which was presented without our asking for it and without a question as to whether
we wanted to order coffee or anything else.
Basically this is a restaurant where style prevails over substance.
Attentive, friendly and personalized service complements a modern-meets-rustic vibe inside this hip space that's great for date night. Lots of "what is that?" fresh and natural ingredients pepper unique dishes that you've probably never seen elsewhere. On the pricier side for some of the serving sizes, but definitely comes with the territory of a menu with so many colorful and creative eats. Recommended.
A cozy & warm hideout on a snowy night with straightforward and tasty food options.
Great service and modern but homey food. So delicious in every way clearly meticulous With everything in the restaurant. Everything made fresh; My girlfriend has A lot of allergies, they were extremely understanding and helpful with the menu. This is A must for anyone on A date or any kind of occasion A little pricey, so this is for A special night out.
Fantastic service; amazing cocktails and attention to detail
We loved everything again, not first timers.
The food the attitude and the kindness shown to my young granddaughter!
Our meal was delicious and the wait staff could not have been more warm and hospitable. Everything you want a neighborhood restaurant to be.
we had a a great meal with friends here! the food was delicious and the environment was friendly and inviting. looking forward to our next visit!
Great food, inventive chef, terrific desserts. Highly recommended
This is a wonderful restaurant. Delicious, friendly, fresh, unpretentious. Service was great. Options were available for the vegans and gluten free among us. I wish there were more places like this. Enjoyed by the 3 generations that were in our group.
I've been to the finch a couple of times, and it's been awesome. The menu is always surprising and different, but amazing. The finch is worth a trip always
