Great historic location with great food in a thriving downtown area of Long Beach! We will be back!
Great Ambiance! Good bar area. Food and cocktails were delicious!
Gorgeous inside, friendly staff, wonderful food!! Ask for a tour of the club and speakeasy.
TGIFridays in a nice building. Nice space but the food is slightly above fast food.
Wine Wednesdays are great!
Love the location as it is in an old bank built in the 20's so the architecture is beautiful. This is going to be our new spot for bottomless weekend brunch as it was $22 for the mimosas and an entree. I had the pulled pork hash and hubby had the breakfast burrito with carnitas. Both were delish and we could have shared due to the size.
Even though I read of horrible service our server was great, just can't remember her name. Like I said, we'll be back :)
Beautiful building ... cavernous space making it very noisy
My salad was terrible and our Clients special of the night was left uneaten. Embarrassing to us to say the least. Won’t be back.
Had brunch and we both went with the classic breakfast. The cook seems to struggle with making over easy eggs but the bacon is quite delicious and cooked perfectly. Harder to get bacon cooked right than eggs but oh well.
Service was VERY slow on a not too busy Sunday. At least half an hour waiting for the waitress at various paints of the meal.
Bone marrow app is the best. Love the history of this place.
Slow and under staff.
Love the setting - but its some how off. Would be a great bar - but the space is so big they have to do the restaurant as well - but the food is definitely an after thought. Ordered the bacon brussel sprouts
- really good. Ordered the kung pao calamari - terrible. The waitress apologized and said we got the last order of the night - which was why they were cold. Took it off the bill - which was nice. Had the salmon, it was good - not great. Ordered an old fashioned - good. Took 30 minutes for dessert to be delivered - only real slip up in the service, but they took it off the bill...Good waitress, decent food, cool ambiance.
The salmon was delicious! However we all agreed the lobster bisque was merely infused with lobster as there was no lobster in it. Very disappointing. I really wanted to like this place.
Food was poor to average. Would recommend this place to grab a beer with a friend - that's it.
Great bourbon list, food was decent, service was awful!
Not great unfortunately. Drinks were good, had a decent app, but the service was terrible and our entrees were practically inedible.... and wasn’t cheap. We won’t be back.
Short staffed, our waitress was bussing too many tables than she could handle. Forgetting to get refills on drinks, gave us our bill with an item we didn't order. I have eaten here before and service is typically a bit better. Food was great though.
Received comp entrance to the club. The speak easy lounge was perfect after dinner.
Absolutely loved this venue. Lovely 1930s music in the background. Great service, historic building, delicious options, including vegan. We had a family dinner followed by a late business meeting. The venue served well for both scenarios.
Only wish was that there weren’t distracting televisions at each side of the bar. Dampened the beautiful ambience.
I visited The Federal with an out-of-state friend, and it was a nice dinner spot! We went on a Monday night, and it was pretty dead. It is all in one large room, so it's apparent when the place isn't busy. We split an assortment of appetizers and both had sangria, which was great but almost non-alcoholic. They had a good bottomless sangria deal, which would be nice if you weren't driving!
I enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant and know it would be great on a Friday or Saturday night.
Birthday was great, will definitely go back
Great ambiance with a very diverse menu with something for everyone. Service was great and friendly. Make sure to check out the speak easy and the club after dinner on the weekend.
I've been here several times before on the weekend and great experiences, so when I friend came to town, I suggested we go here. We made a reservation for Tuesday at 6pm, but we got there around 5:15 so we just sat at the bar. There were maybe 10 other customers there at the time. I mentioned to the bartender that I thought I read about a Long Beach dinner special this week, and he said he didn't know anything about it. Moving on, the food was good but the service was so slow and the bartenders were not attentive. When we left after dinner, the back of the happy hour specials sign shows the Dine LBC special (not sure why pic won't attach). We were really disappointed we missed out on that, and I probably won't bring friend here again
We love this place! The food is great and the drinks flow! But we especially love it for Saturday brunch!
Great building. Very basic menu and nothing was outstanding. Go for the beauty of the building but don't expect to be overly impressed with the food.
Went for brunch. Waitstaff was good but we waited for over 30 minutes for our food after ordering. Luckily it was tasty and hot when it arrived.
Delicious food, huge portions, sweet woodwork of old bank, unique menu, quaint 1920's background music, highly recommend!
This restaurant is beautiful. Food is good and the staff was friendly.
Loved the original decor as well as the modern touches
food was amazing
Love the atmosphere. As always, service was exceptional. Love that they leave a carafe of mimosas instead of waiting to be refilled. I only wish the mimosa brunch menu was a bit more varied, but then I'm a very picky eater!
I indicated we were celebrating our anniversary, but that wasn't acknowledged at all during the evening. We were seated towards the front door, not even in the back were it was more cozy for a romantic dinner. It was not busy, so a reservation was definitely not necessary. The baseball game was on at the bar and they spectators gave it more of a sports bar feel to the dinning area. We had one drink and dinner and went elsewhere for dessert. Overall experience was not what we expected, especially based on our prior experiences at this restaurant.
As always Megan was a great waitress! Very attentive and just all around awesome!
Fantastic brunch in the dining room! French toast and breakfast burrito with a mimosa is exactly what I needed Sunday afternoon!
Had a wonderful birthday celebration at brunch. The bottomless champagne hit the spot!
Definitely going back soon!
The girls got together for Sunday brunch and everything was excellent, from the food to the service!
Had a very delicious crab cake with chipotle hollandaise. They offer endless mimosas for a mere $15. Had the almost flourless chocolate cake, so moist & yummy!
I will look forward to returning.
Disappointed that at 7300m they no longer had their baked biscuits or s'mores bread pudding available.
The service wasn’t great. Our orders were corrected 3 times. The appetizer was not fulfilling to hold us over. Plus we waited for almost 90 minutes to get our food. This place is made for happy hour and drinks not dining..that was my bad.
