Very poor I had lamb there was more fat than there was meat. The plate was cold when it arrived so as soon as you put vegetables onto the plate they were cold. The gravy was thin like water. We had one main course each one glass of wine each and a coffee each the total cost was £98. This would not be my first choice again.

The only complaint about the Feathers was the standard of service in the restaurant. Everywhere else in the hotel the service was excellent. We ordered and were then informed that they had given us the wrong menus, and the waitress laughed and snatched out of our hands the wrong menus. We decided not to have a first course but ordered the bread, the waitress plonked the bread down on my partners place setting and said “here is the bread”. The glasses were not taken from the table and the first course cutlery were in place until our main course arrived. My partner had steak and the waitress brought the steak knife out half way through my partner eating the meal. We had coffee, then paid and left. Having eaten in many quality restaurants and hotels the service was abysmal and obviously staff training is needed to make this restaurant experience worth while . We could not fault the quality of the food which was exceptional.

The food was exceptional with attentive but non-intrusive service. Just perfect. A full restaurant, so a lovely ambience, but not too loud. Michelin standard food and a real treat.

Fantastic food and wine choice. The ambience was some what ruined by the choice of music playing at the time. It was out of keeping.

Lovely room and atmosphere. Noise level a bit high due to lack of soft furnishings. Extremely friendly service. Food very tasty and presented in an appealing way.

A really great meal. The food was original, interesting and just generally fantastic. Easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in the local area. Also a very good wine list. Some dishes may appear small at first glance, but they all have little extra's that meant myself and my dining partner were happily full by the end.
