Farmhouse offers an upbeat atmosphere with down to earth, authentic food. The short ribs are superb, and nothing is better than starting things off with their addictive fried pickles.

Calamari was tender and sweet. Halibut fish tacos were excellent and you can have the halibut fired or panseared which we did. Halibut entre was very well prepared with excellent presentaton, a great dish.

An oasis of quality food. Fantastic dishes, cooked from fresh ingredients, served with a smile. Prices are somwhat up to European dishes of comparable quality, but still worth the spend.

My parents took my wife and I here for our anniversary and it was one of the best meals/experiences in a restaurant that I've had in some time. Food, service and value was amazing. This isn't our first time there and every time we leave very happy. We started with the arancini and caprese. Both were excellent, the arancini sauce was best I've had and mozzarella has to made in house, so soft and creamy! For my main I ordered the short ribs with pappardelle, short ribs melted in your mouth and pasta was cooked perfect. My wife ordered the fish tacos with truffle fries, she gave me on taco...yummo and those fries were to die for. Lastly, the prices were surprisingly moderate considering the quality we received. I don't know why we do not go here more but we will after tonight!

We have eaten at the Farmhouse several times before and always enjoyed, primarily pre-pandemic. I have wanted to go back, and was pleased to see their outdoor seating. We celebrated my wife's birthday and had a great dinner - the patio was comfortable, the service was good, the food was excellent. While the temperature dropped while we were there, we expected it. If they were to add heatlamps so the outdoor dining could be extended a few more months that would be great. But otherwise we really enjoyed our dinner.

The food was delicious and service was great overall. We had one meal that kept our party of 7 waiting to dig in about 5-10 mins but it was worth the wait. Most of our party had short ribs or halibut and everything was cooked perfectly. The only negative was the hostess abruptly came over and told us we had overstayed our reservation. I would’ve understood if we were lingering after food and drinks for awhile but we had received our bill only a few mins before. It was an unfortunate end to the evening. However I would definitely try again.

I went with my two adult children to celebrate a birthday. We were seated toward the back, one table in and across from the bathrooms. There was a faint odor of cleaner, which wasn't great. In the future I would request not being seated at one of those last two tables. The food was very good. Bolognese, a risotto entry and halibut. Halibut was good but not spectacular. The fish tacos I had last time were much better. We decided not to stay for dessert. Very good service though.

We love Farmhouse. This is our go-to spot when we want a nice dinner out with friends. We always feel welcome by the hosts, wait staff is kind and professional, atmosphere is relaxed and elegant and most of all the food is wonderful. Consistently delicious. We always leave talking about who we'll ask to join us "the next time" we dine at Farmhouse.

I thought the Halibut was swimming in the sauce. It made the mashed potatoes mushy. Service was rushed. We were in & out in 1.25 hours. But it was a nosy Friday night. All the outdoor reservations were moved inside and it was crowded. One party of nine tried to squeeze around a table set for seven. It became a disturbance for everybody near them. The short rib was very good. But the peach burrata was out of season. Time to remove it from the menu. All in all, we will go back on another day of the week. It's a neighborhood gem.

The food was wonderful and came out fast. A little too fast. My husband and I joked that the kitchen staff was clairvoyant when our appetizers came out a mere 4-5 minutes after we ordered them. It feels like the restaurant really wants to turn the table without saying they want to turn the table. The ambience is just okay... I can't quite put my finger on it, but it is crowded and there is no place for people who come in to wait (they were gathered at the front door, hovering over other diners). But the food was very good and the staff was friendly. It is a full bar, but lacking choices of what I would consider popular brands (Jack Daniels, Grey Goose). I would recommend this restaurant if you don't mind feeling a bit rushed.

Visiting the Needham area we were so fortunate to select the The Farmhouse for dinner. A charmingly delightful and very personable place! The menu was great! Well balanced offerings with selections covering good options for whatever your tastebud desires might be that day. You could tell the items were carefully selected to be on their enticing conservative sized menu. The food was well prepared with a great combination of flavors. The staff were very personable and attentive; service was great! The only regret is that there aren’t more restaurants like The Farmhouse!

This was my first time at The Farmhouse. The space is small but comfortable. The service we got was excellent -- friendly, informative, and a perfect pace. The noise level was pretty high, but it's hard to see what can be done about that in such a small space. We were seated directly across from the kitchen, which inescapably was noisy. The cocktail I ordered -- a vodka martini -- was perfect, but I didn't particularly like either food item I ordered, and my problem with each of them was similar. I had a caesar salad and then grilled shrimp tacos. Both items were too heavily laden with thick dressing. The caesar would have been so much better if the dressing had been half as heavy. The shrimp in the tacos was delicious, but the loads of Russian dressing accompanying the tacos' ingredients detracted from those ingredients' flavors. Basic suggestion here is to lighten up on dressings and sauces. I will go back just to see if I have a different experience.

Wonderful restaurant with great outdoor seating. Creative menu. We shared the bolognese, it was a good sharing dish and delicious. The beet salad was excellent also. This was my 3rd visit and looking forward to returning. My only complaint is the chairs need cushions.

Food was good as usual..although expensive. 29 dollars for 3 tacos seems like alot. My tacos were ordered sauteed instead if fried.. they came fried and waited did not come over to apologize. Dissapointing.
