We usually thoroughly enjoy the farmhouse, but this time the service was slow and the food was cold and overcooked. I had higher expectations as our meal is usually amazing and I was disappointed.

Great selection on the menu. We had the ma and cheese, crispy trout and avocado chicken BLT. All of it was delicious and we followed up with a crème brûle. I think it’s a bit pricey but still a great treat. Our waiter was not only prompt and attentive but hilarious which made for a great lunch our! Would definitely recommend !

We all had different dishes, crispy trout got 5 stars, chicken received 5 stars, steak received 5+stars, mac n cheese was a 5 star too. The Eggs Benedict was well received as were the kids french toast and home-fries (wasn't that keen on the rye bread though, maybe have plain bread for kids?). The food was more than ample-servings, we didn't have any room for dessert, darn it! Our server was friendly and attentive. No complaints from our bunch.

Food was great, ordered a chicken burger and the chicken was tender and flavourful. Ambience was okay isn't exactly a date place, but a great place to go w your friends

Mid Saturday afternoon birthday celebration. Relaxed atmosphere, quiet enough for normal conversation. Apps were excellent, 2 apps fed 4 people. Entrees were delicious.

We made reservations and asked for a booth as it was my husband's 61st birthday. We were seated on the second floor and were not asked if stairs were ok. When we got to our table we sat in a corner with not much room from the table next to us. My husband is a larger man. The upstairs had no Ambiance. In my opinion a decorator could be used on the second floor and could be a very cozy space. This space was stark white!

I did not feel there was much a chose on the menu for a dinner seating. We were not even offered bread before the meal; the dinner was quite pricey you would think you would at least get a roll with your dinner.

I was quite disappointed.

Wonderful staff, lovely old heritage building, but our brunch entrees were served luke warm on cold plates. I'll give them another chance but wish I had sent the food back...

For the portion size relative to the price asked we found it not a great value..
It had been some time since my last visit here and I recalled a more upscale and varied menu. What we found this visit was no more than road-house pub grub and overpriced. ...Sorry!

This was a great experience all around. Our server Chris was very attentive and helpful with all of the requests and questions we had. There were a lot of really creative choices on the menu and presentation was beautiful. The restaurant came highly recommended and did not disappoint.

Loved my food. Wife got the maple glazed trout I got the beef dip. Soooo tasty!!!

We have eaten here before, during barrielicious. I made a reservation for myself and my wife for Valentines day, there was only a 9pm reservation left so I accepted. Upon arrival we were placed in the downstairs area by the bar, my wife requested to be placed upstairs as it is a much different atmosphere upstairs, we were advised that they had already closed the upstairs for the night. The downstairs is more pub then romantic dining that we were looking for... especially valentines day.... the food was great, a little overpriced but good.

The food at the farmhouse is great. It is seasonal delicious and healthy (for the most part). However, this is not the place to go for fine dining or a date. It is much more casual than we thought based on the entree prices ($42 for a steak), the fact that they do weddings, and the fancy building. Great place for brunch or a nice lunch, but not a special dinner. If they had put down some linen table cloths and some candles it could easily transition to fine dining with a only a small tweak to the dinner menu (no fries or burgers). I guess we had expected something different.

Went for V-Day dinner. Our server Jamie took great care of us. Food was very good. Would go back and recommend to friends.

Had a great experience with my husband for date night without the kids. I had the Bacon & Beer Glazed Pork loin with apple slaw, romaine salad & 3 cheese bacon butter baked potato. Best apple slaw I’ve ever had!!! Hubby had requested no mushrooms/onions on his beef dip but when it came with them on it, Chris was quick to have it fixed!! Friendly & attentive service. Will definitely return!!

The waitress was very attentive but not overbearing as some places may be. The food choices are limited, but very tasty. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal immensely. My first time here and my wife and I truly enjoyed the dining experience.

The food and service were excellent but it seemed extremely noisy.

The meal was great, desert was ok. Service was just right. Not bothersome but checked in at appropriate times. The down side we were seated too close to the front door and we were cold all evening.

As always, a delicious meal. A great value during Barrielicious. Plan on coming back when the patio is open.

We had an excellent meal at The Farmhouse during Barrielicious. Tenderloin steak was delicious, as was the smoked fish and the portions were perfect.

I was really impressed the pady called back to confirm reservation and asked if we had any concerns with food i did mention my husband was diabetic and no sugar in food

And my dinner was absoiltely exactly the way i wanted it i asked for well done steak and it was awesome

Great food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Staff are friendly and efficient. Good guest/craft beers available and an ideal location especially during spring, summer and autumn.

We really enjoyed our visit to The Farm House, everything was lovely, the food was fantastic! We look forward to coming back real soon! I have to say our service was wonderful, I just wish I knew her name to tell you, she was so sweet, upbeat and attentive!

Met a friend for dinner. We both chose from the Barrielicious menu. Our waiter was wonderful, very friendly and accommodating. He gave us time to visit and didn't rush us. We will be back!

The farmhouse had delicious food. The service was fantastic and our food came out so fast. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good, hardy, local food.

This visit was during Barrielicious and the restaurant was super busy. My son often has the macaroni and cheese which is usually gooey and excellent. On this visit it was dry and overcooked. Other than that, the rest of the meal was excellent.

Overall, I would recommend. The only issue was the server was overly anxious. Please give people at least 10 minutes to sit, look over the menu, then come back. Went on BarrieLicious. I'm sure portions would be better on a regular basis.

Food is always good. Look forward to going. Great place for a meal.
