   The atmosphere is pleasant and attractive. It was too noisy to chat at first but when a large table left, it was fine. Everyone was impressed with the raspberry beer. The cauliflower steak was delicious, as was the vegan burger and pulled pork. First timers were impressed with the sides. It's nice to have a restaurant that is unique and classy.

   We had a delightful family get together over Sunday lunch. The food was excellent ,the portion sizes were perfect, not immense. It was a busy spot so fairly noisy but still enjoyable. There are menu choices for all types of dietary restrictions so bonus points for the farmhouse!

   The perfect spot for a lunch date with friends. The late summer sunshine allowed us to enjoy our meal on the charming patio. Everyone enjoyed their food, drinks and the staff was very accommodating. Would recommend The Farmhouse to anyone looking for a modern twist on farm fresh food.

    I felt that it. Was not very classy , it’s more of an everyday burger joint . I came for my wedding anniversary expecting a fancier place as per reviews . They have a laminated on page menu with mostly bar food , the tables are very close to each other so you can hear everyone’s conversations . The servers are nice and no complaint on the service I just think from the outside the place looks very promising where inside it’s very low key great for a beer and a burger but not an experience .

    They did not honour our reservation time at 8pm. The party prior to ours was taking their time with no intention of leaving. The restaurant would not ask them to leave and we had to wait until after 8:30 to be seated. Most restaurants have no problem politely asking loitering customers to move to the bar or something. Don’t take my reservation if you can’t accommodate me.

    We unfortunately were not impressed with the upkeep of the farmhouse. Upon our arrival I went to the restroom , going down the stairs the handrail was filthy and the bathroom unkept and run down. The food was ok. Our waitress was lovely and super friendly. Just not for us

    The time we spent at The Farmhouse was extremely pleasant. We were meeting up with family we hadn't seen in 1 1/2 years, and the waitress was very considerate and allowed us extra time to talk, both before our meal and after. The meal was exemplary; I had the Chicken Apple Walnut salad and it was really tasty, fresh, and abundant. There was more than I could finish. My husband's burger was well cooked and delicious (according to him). We sat outside on the lower patio, and we were not crowded, and we were comfortable. We will be back!

    We barely saw our server the whole meal. We asked for more chips for our appetizer and by the time she brought them out (after reminding her and finally asking someone else) they came out with the entrees and the dip was cold. She put our meals at the table and only came back at the end to give our bills. My meal was absolutely terrible. The mashed potatoes were old and stale and could be picked up like a hockey puck. We will NEVER come back to this restaurant.

    My husband had the tenderloin steak and it was amazing. I had the cobb salad and was very disappointed . The chicken seemed to be left over and dried out , and the avacado was old and turning black . I would go back but will not order the cobb salad.

    Happened to be driving through the city and wanted a place for brunch. Food was decent and service was good. We chose the place given its description of waterfront patio...this is quite a stretch but better than other patios I guess. Portion sizes were decent. Good value. Would encourage management to create a uniform or some guidelines as waitress attire was questionable and not overly professional.

    Great last day of Barrielicious, friend and I had pork tenderloin (amazing), beef dip (I didn’t enjoy as much, it was good, but flavour wasn’t what I expected I guess? Not knocking it though, the quality was still very good), muscles and potato skins for starters (both superb), and mini cheesecakes for dessert. Again, awesome. Light and creamy cheesecake.     I would recommend to a friend because I’ve been before and had way better experiences. We went for Barrie liciois. Our reservation was 8pm, we didn’t get our starter until 8:55. Food 9:30. I understand it was busy but everyone around us got there food and stuff a lot faster. Even our drinks we ordered there was a huge delay. Our server kept apologizing; I felt bad but we had babysitters and stuff and didn’t expect to be eating for 2.5 hours. Food was great, unfortunately the delay in service is why I had a bad experience Also, food portions were bad. Very small for the price.

    A couple of our choices were unavailable. The chairs on the balcony are quite uncomfortable. We will try another night & choose indoor seating for a hopefully more satisfying experience. Not written off yet!

    Booked Farmhouse during the Barrielious event. First time there. Sat upstairs. Big tree in front needs trimming to see the lake. Bruchetta came in a very hot pan with pita bread that I had to make. (expected on a baguette.) Beef dip..again thought baguette. Got a seed hamburger bun with opague colour beef. Awful! My husband orders the maple and beer glazed pork loin..it was a porkchop! and our salads were in a small jar! 3 bites! and the dessert was 2 bites! I thought Barrielious was to help promote business for restaurants but your food was not worth the $100.00! Also, the restaurant needs some TLC. Will not go back.

    The exterior patio and interior very in need of some TLC. Very ho-hum menu with little creativity and quite limited. Not at all what we expected after watching it talked about for many years on city tv. Having said that, the place was very busy so I guess most patrons are very satisfied.

    While the service wasn't fully attentive, the food (both in taste and appearance) made up for it. Highly recommend the mussels as an appetizer! Great value during Barrielicious.
