Our server Andrew was wonderful. He was attentive and charming while still giving us the space to enjoy our romantic evening. My steak was overdone, but it was still delicious. Management included dessert on the house as an apology.
Megan was great. Bread pudding was awesome.
Nice, cozy setting with fireplaces; friendly personnel though too few waiter to serve all customers quickly. Food was excellent. Delicately prepared, appetizing appearance, just the right portion size.
Service was excellent k the food was delicious.
Had trouble parking, Handicapped. A lovely restaurant. Wait staff very professional. Only one negative.. noisy
It was a perfect setting for a light hearted family brunch.
Dinner was cold and the cost was 42.00 all we were told was should have check on your dinner earlier sorry.
Very nice dinner. Only complete was noise volume.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
Great food. Excellent flavor and great selection. Highly recommended.
Thought the restaurant was nice, however, very very expensive for what we got, my friend and i each got grilled romaine with a protein, shared an appetizer and i had a drink, she had two and the bill was over $90. Cant image what the bill would have been if we each got an entree. Dont think i would go back anytime soon.
We have been to brunch at The Farmer's Daughter MANY times before Covid, but this was our first time back since March of 2019. To be honest, I was SHOCKED that neither the staff, or food handlers wore masks!
I was really looking forward to having another one of your delicious brunches, but to be honest, it was very disappointing. The food was definitely not the same quality as I remembered and the selection was just not as good. The presentation was also lacking. There was also a lack of plates at the various buffet tables.
Although our waiter was very friendly and attentive, it was apparent that you were short staffed(which I do understand and am sympathetic to having experienced it at other restaurants). On a positive note, the chef who made the omelets and waffles was excellent! My omelet was done to perfection.
There was also a change in the atmosphere. I remember the room with the fireplace being so warm and inviting. It was not that way this time. The room was also EXTREMELY noisy.
As I mentioned, we have had brunch at The Farmer's Daughter many times, and have also celebrated many family occasions there as well(in the two private rooms). Overall, the brunch was just very disappointing. I am more than happy to pay for a more upscale brunch, but felt that this time, it was not worth the money!
A very comfortable setting with great service. A great night for our 20th anniversary.
Don't get a steak - will not be cooked right. Other meals came out cold.
Food was excellent, and the cocktails were great. They change up the menu regularly so we're looking forward to going back and trying more dishes.
Very nice and good service - but duck flatbread pizza was just lousy - great soup, but not what expected (a cream based, mushroom beef soup - not as described, but excellent). Nice place, but no table covers, which, with $35 to $40 entrees is a turnover. Grilled romaine good... but it wasn't grilled. A lot of little things hold this place back a higher rating - all of which are fixable.
My MTO egg white omelette was well, runny - I would’ve expected much better for the establishment and what I was paying.
The “tuxedo mini cakes” seemed to be “off” so my husband kindly informed the waitress. I witnessed a chef bounce right up after someone informed him of something and watched him take a piece of said cake then seek out the waitress and knew this was in regard to my husband’s comment. The chef informed us that my husband was correct in that it wasn’t “tuxedo cake” it was mislabeled and what tasted “off” was actually a Guinness beer infused layer in a different kind of cake. Whew! Good to know! I was extremely impressed that the waitress cared enough to inform someone of my husband’s concern for the cake being perhaps sour in some way and she made sure his concern was noted immediately and the chef promptly took action. It was nice to see when so often people’s concerns are dismissed.
The chef informed us that the labels would be corrected!
When we went to leave, we noticed that the labels were switched but the trays had been moved so the labels still were incorrect, I simply moved the labels so they were with the proper food items assuring no one else had the same experience!
Loud conversations from other patrons distracted from our lunch
Delicious food, excellent service
My husband and I went for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Our waitress, Lindsey, was awesome and made some great recommendations for us. It was probably the best filet mignon I’ve ever had and was cooked perfectly.
Food was great and atmosphere is nice.
The salmon with bacon and avocado sandwich is delicious! Add the sweet potato fries for an added boost of flavor. So good!!
The Farmer’s Daughter was a fantastic fine dining experience! The restaurant is a very classy event venue so don’t be surprised to see a wedding party or (insert your large fancy event). The meals were prepared by expert kitchen talent and the wait staff was exceptional. We will absolutely dine here again.
Service was attentive, food was excellent!
Duck was perfectly cooked as well as my wife’s steak.
Noise level was moderate. Definitely will go back
Service was excellent. Andrew was very attentive. The food unfortunately fell short of our expectations. We had the grilled octopus which tasted oily and chewy without much flavor. We then had the braised short rib with mashed potatoes, which was served luke warm. It’s disappointing when your meal isn’t served hot. The short rib was ok, but not “melt in your mouth” good. The mashed potatoes had little flavor, really not rich or buttery at all. We also had the lamb flatbread, again served Luke warm and tasted very “gamey”. So much potential at this cute spot, but unfortunately the food wasn’t executed well.
Food was good, but over priced. Service was also good, but the food took a long time to come out.
We sat outside in a Friday night and it was lovely. Waterfall and then fire pit came on at dusk.
Food was delicious and drinks refreshing.
Scallops were delicious as well as the salmon and crab cakes.
Don’t miss dessert
Awesome food and drinks. Great service by Megan! Can’t wait to return!
Excellent in all categories. Would recommend to everyone. Will go again when I go out to see my relatives.
Food was abundant and delicious. Service was great. Atmosphere was nice. We plan on treating our children and grandchildren to the brunch.
Waiter was wonderful, cocktails were excellent, and the food was good but not great. Took a very long time for each course to come out. For the price & the wait, we expected better. I’d recommend against the pork, it was very dry.
Lovely indoor and outdoor space as well as delicious food.
I ordered the Normandy salad with shrimp for $22. You got three large shrimp and a bed of mixed greens. Very few other vegetables and the shrimp were not the extra large gulf shrimp you'd expect for that price. Very overpriced for a salad compared to what you get. I'm willing to pay more if the value and quality are there and it was not with this salad. At that price, the salad should at least had more vegetables or have been slightly cheaper. There was nothing that set it apart from other restaurants who charge between $15-$18 for a salad with shrimp so the price just wasn't justified. Very disappointed. Atmosphere is really nice if you like a rustic motif.
Brunch was great, staff was amazing. Was so great to be able to go back after a year and a half.
Excellent choices for a gluten-free eater. Beautiful presentation. Delicious meal. Service is excellent. Looking forward to next time!
Great food and service. Good value. I would highly recommend
First time there. Excellent service and food. Manager comped our desert as first timers.
This is an amazing restaurant, and they seem to have overcome the shortage of good help issue in the Phila. area -- our waiter was wonderful and quite knowledgeable. Food is excellent -- farm to table and very fresh, and the chef definitely rocks. Highly recommend.
Great place to have a quiet meal
The food quality, atmosphere, and service were great.
