The Farm Ratings and Reviews
The wine selection was very good and our waiter was very engaging and informative. Menu is somewhat limited. If you don’t like salt or cannot have salt in your diet, this is not the place for you....everything that is served is heavily salted which blocks out the flavor of other seasonings/ingredients.
This is really a nice place. I recommend it as an alternative to Main St. Great food (and selection) and great service. Warm and cozy in the bar area. The ONLY issue I have (and it is somewhat important) as an outsider, this place is in a very dark area and it is unmarked. There is no parking. Apparently the trick is that the valet service is the only way to park (if you're confident you're in the right location). Even once in the resort it is confusing. I spoke with 2 employees who didn't even know where "The Farm" was. So - we took about 10 minutes to get there in the car, and about 35 minutes figuring out how to park and where to go. It is a problem. But once you find it - it is worth it.
This was a great place to eat close to our hotel at the base of the Park city Mountain in the canyons resort. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. Our server was excellent knowledgeable about all of the dishes. We really enjoyed our evening here and would return.
Dinner was truly exceptional.
Our concierge had said, "recently remodeled, new Chef, one of the top 3 places to eat in The Canyons & Park City."
They did not disappoint! This was our finest dinner of our six day visit. A diverse menu with unique fresh and natural ingredients.
My one challenge - Online reservations were difficult to come by. Yet there seemed to be fair number of tables, both in the bar and main seating area open. I would recommend a call directly to the restaurant for seating
We visited the Farm during Sundance week. Our server, Alex provided great recommendations for the house made pasta appetizer and chicken entree. Both were excellent examples of fresh, farm to table dishes. Overall great experience and look forward to our next visit.
Food was wonderful. Service was great except for feeling that we were being upsold the whole time. At the end we never saw the actual bill just credit card slip so we left questioning the bill but everyone was to busy to request a copy. We will be back again the food was excellent.
The Farm is a real gem located at The Canyons in Park City. The service is excellent and the menu interesting and diverse. The wine list is extensive, though overpriced, but the entrees are reasonably priced for this level of quality. I recommend it. Make reservations.
It’s our favorite place in Park City for creative and high quality dining. It’s a gem of a restaurant and off the beaten path of Main Street mania. Great for celebrations or a special night out. Portions are ample and there’s always a fresh and local variety on the menu. Desserts are also unique, so save room!
The ambience was very nice. Our table looked out into the ski slope. However, the service was a bit slow, Dinner was over two hours. The appetizer was the best part of the meal (farm cheese)
The entrees were very pricey- $38 for a meal worth about $20, will not recommend nor go back!!
We ate with our children and the staff were exceptional! They opened up the yurt for our children “just because” they wanted to sit In there. The hostess brought games. The waitress gave details on every item on he menu. The service was personal and we felt extremely well taken care of. We’ll be coming back here every year for sure!
Enjoyed the menu twice while in the Canyons. Each meal was wonderful. An interesting mix of German and American favorites. Roast Pork Shank was incredible and a great rack of lamb won hands down at our table. These plates would hold their own in San Fran, New York or Austin! A must eat while in town.
It was good, but I was expecting more based on the reviews and rating of this restaurant. We went for lunch since it was booked solid for dinner. The menu we were given did not match what was on the website. It only had sandwiches, a charcuterie board, a soup (a curry coconut, they had run out of tomato), a chili and two salads. Everything was good, but not anything more interesting or better than what you find anywhere else. My salad was just mixed greens with a vinaigrette. The charcuterie board had a cheese, a salami (really good), a very good chutney, raw spinach leaves (?), and a honey. The soup and chili were delicious, but very similar to what we had on the mountain. The sandwiches were also very similar to what you could get elsewhere. Honestly, nothing special.
The worst part was that our reservation was for 2:45 pm. As we were getting settled and ordering drinks we were rushed to order because the kitchen was closing at 3:00 pm and we needed to get our order in before 3:00 pm. It turns out that they were closed during apres-ski time, even though the website said they would be open continuously (just a different menu) from 3:00 - 5:00 pm. They closed at 3:00 pm. No one called to tell us that the restaurant would be closing at 3:00 pm. None of it was bad, but there was nothing great or outstanding about the experience.
Meeting friends and family after the slopes, our very personable waiter was assigned to 14 tables and it took 30 minutes to order, not his fault. Food was decent, but not what expected based on other reviews. Management needs to either become more helpful and personable or be replaced.
