The Farm House
Lovely food as always but we do always find it too loud in there
Excellent as always. Waitress was impeccable and professional. Will be returning.
Our Food was delicious
The Service was slow we waited ages to order despite trying on many occasions to attract the attention of waitress
Great Selection if drinks and Wine
Loved our meal and the staff were fabulous!
Food was amazing our waitress was fantastic! Very friendly
And I left my phone on the table and she came to see if she could
Find me once we left the table.
Had a lovely evening with friends.
Girly dinner with 3 friends, fantastic sea bass dish, great cocktails. 2nd visit and I will be back.
One of my favourite eating places. Good food, staff polite and courteous.
We felt that the shared starter could have been excellent
Great to have a proper "crumble" with custard
Brilliant food and good size portions! Not the cheapest of meals but you are paying for good quality ingredients andbits worth it!
It was very quiet and we were the only ones there at one point but this was due to going at 6.30pm on a sunday when the sunday roast rush had died down and early for the dinner crowd. Perfect meal had by all and will definately return. TIP - have the sticky toffee pudding for dessert - its amazing!!
The food and service was great. The venue has a lovely friendly and welcoming vibe. Great place for a night out.
As always great food and service! Staff are always really lovely
Lovely time had at the farmhouse this weekend, food was great and really good value. Nice wine ,great service I would definitely recommend.
Had a lovely birthday lunch brilliant service very welcoming
Out of the 7 people dining, 4 had the only vegetarian option for the roast. None of them finished it as it was bland and tasteless. One was still frozen in the middle, and when we pointed this out to the waitress, she put her finger in it to see. She then took it away, and the same diner came back. Not a new plate of food, but the same one. Still, the roast Lamb was excellent.
Lovely lunch with friends. The food was great as was the service. The only thing that spoled it a little is that there was a table of very noisy kids next to ours and one child in particular (about 8 years old) kept banging my chair and me despite the fact that I asked very nicely for him not to do it. His parents took absolutely no notice. I will be asking for a table downstairs next time. I actually like children but not badly behaved ones!
Had a lovely meal here with my girlfriend's on Saturday. Lovely food and great value. Look forward to returning soon!
Nice evening with friends, good relaxed atmosphere. We have eaten here several times no problems
We needed a good meal after a hard day’s work, packing up a house. It was a Sunday evening and there were few restaurants open in the area - but that didn’t matter because The Farmhouse is one of our favourite restaurants and it WAS open!
We both started with garlic bread which was yummy then each had a perfectly cooked and served rib-eye steak with lovely chips and mushroom, tomatoes and watercress.
When we had eaten all that, there was regrettably, no room for dessert but we did manage coffee. The whole evening helped us to wake the following morning ready and willing for another hard day’s graft!
God was fantastic. I had the lamb shoulder and would highly recommend. My wife had the duck and I was fortunate to be offered a little taste. Again very nice. My only small suggestion would be that the game pie is not a pie but a pastry top. I have learned to always check before ordering now to avoid disappointment. Had it been a proper pie I would have ordered it
Food not bad and delivered to our table reasonably efficiently, but the overall standard of service and customer care was very disappointing.
Steak was not rare as ordered and food took a while. Service was friendly as usual so we still had a good meal.
Range of main menu could be slightly improved but I had was great just other people struggled to find something they really liked. Overall great service great food and good atmosphere.
Lovely food and atomosphere even on NYE! Had a fab time in the Cow Shed in the garden, definitely worth visiting!
I was disappointed with the service which was very slow. So would only recommend if you have a spare couple of hours and still not had desert or coffee. Food was good otherwise. We ended up getting the bill and going for coffee at Costa. We were a party of 10 including 4 children who do not wish to wait that long. The music was annoying which kept playing then stopping due to a fault. They should have just switched it off. Waitress was pleasant enough but didn't seem very efficient.
Everything was great apart from warmish white wine. The food was excellent.
We had a great night, the food was excellent, it was a pre Christmas treat and was very atmospheric with Christmas parties, a great place to enjoy good company, food and wine
Nice pre Christmas catch up with friends, service prompt, value for money.attentive staff big party next to us a little festive but did not trouble us too much
I was very lucky to get a table at peak lunchtime just before Christmas and feared that theyd be so busy that food and service may suffer, but it was excellent. Parking was the most difficult problem to resolve in the area! It was a great menu, it was politely and effectively served and the food was wonderful.
Wonderful restaurant, we just love it here. Great food, lovely atmosphere and exceptional service. My wife and I had a fantastic evening. Highly recommended.
Work Christmas lunch. Pre booked menu choices were well presented and served in a timely manner . Service was friendly and welcoming and we were not rushed. Lovely surroundings and although restaurant was full it was not crowded and not too loud. We all enjoyed our meal
First time I have been but would recommend the food and the ambience. We had a very friendly waitress but waiter less so
We explained on arrival that we were short of time, and the staff obviously did all they could to speed up service. They took extra trouble, and this was appreciated.
We had the 3-course Christmas lunch. The first course (game terrine) was really nice. I tried the nut roast for my main course but didn’t enjoy it as much; it was a bit bland. The dessert (amaretto creme brûlée) was nice. The atmosphere was up to The Farm House’s usual standard and the service is always attentive.
Easy to book; nice setting for Company Christmas dinner. Good range of food, well cooked. Staff attentive without being claustrophobic. Good value for money although wine list could be improved.
We had our team Christmas meal at the Farmhouse - they never disappoint. Food was great, service was very good and excellent value for money.
Had a Christmas get together with my friends from work for evening dinner. We choose the Christmas Menu, which was excellent and value for money at £27 for three courses. The staff were very polite and gave excellent service.
Only thing that spoilt it was a noisy table of 12 next to us who had no consideration for other diners! This was not the restaurants fault just guests who do no know how to behave!
Thank you, we will definately return in the New Year!
Friendly, helpful staff. Food OK. Seating area could be larger or perhaps less tables.
Xmas dinner group. We all finished all three courses!! Can not fault food fabulous. We will definitely go back.
Amazing food - cooked to perfection. Great ambience and can't wait to return. Best meal I have had in a long while (and I do eat out frequently).
We were a party of 10 people, our annual get-together, friends, old work mates, etc. Was quite difficult finding a restaurant at the beginning of December that could accommodate a group of 10 at a reasonable time (8.15pm) on a Saturday night, other than for a Christmas party!. But this restaurant came up trumps and as it was easy for us all to get to, was the ideal choice.
Parking in West Malling is the only draw-back and we did have to drive around for 20 or so minutes until we found space. The restaurant/pub is centrally located on the high street, easy to find. Towards the back of the main building there's a large outdoor seating patio area, which would be great in Summer. Lively pub downstairs. We sat upstairs, noise wasn't an issue and we all managed to chat to each other without shouting. Quiet background music.
Service was prompt and very friendly with a smile, the menu is large and has multiple options for whatever your fads and dislikes. I'm Vegetarian, I found a limited choice of dishes but the food was excellent. As like many restaurants, I would suggest a few more choices of Vegetarian options, and not to solely focus on Vegan options, as many Vegetarians find Vegan food rather bland!
Overall, everyone enjoyed the evening, great food, (however, a touch pricey in parts) and a good wine list. Good ambience and attentive, friendly, polite service. We recommend and will certainly return at a future date. Thanks to all for an enjoyable evening.
Recommendations - Game pie/ Wild Mushroom Arancini/ Blood Orange Sorbet!
