The Farm House Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
This time instead of a full dinner as we would normally do, my wife and I wanted more of a casual bar menu. I had a mushroom Cheese Steak and my wife had the Spicy Chicken sandwich. We both loved our meals.
So if you want a full course meal or a casual meal the Farmhouse has it all.
Very quaint charming atmosphere. Menu had been changed but the website did not reflect this, disappointed that something that appealed to me wasn't;t available, Choices were very good and our meal was very good as well. Quiet night, almost empty. Good service.
Overall a nice trip out for the family. We were seated at table behind a very very loud bar. In hindsight we should have probably asked for another table. Service was great from start to finish. Food was good, but pasta was a little bland and portion was rather small for what you typically get elsewhere with a pasta dish. Everyone else at table seemed pleased with their meals. Musician was very nice, although with bar noise it was tough to hear much of anything till the bar folks exited the building.
One of our very favorite local restaurants. Excellent food and service, friendly, local staff, good live music on Friday nights. Outdoor dining overlooking the golf course, seasonal. Can be slow getting dinners at times, if very busy as the kitchen is quite small (it is a farmhouse), but the patience is worth it. Always meet nice people at the bar, and Stephanie and Travis are terrific bartenders.
Our waitress was pleasant & nice, however she was not versed on the offerings. We were presented with a their menu however per their web site they offer a price fixe menu which we had to request. The lobster bisque was extremely salty, the salmon was beyond overcooked and extremely dry. We specifically asked if the ice cream that was being order had peanut butter, we were told emphatically no. However when it was served it had chocolate bits with peanut butter inside - she was quite surprised. When we told her about the overlooked salmon, she said we should have told her sooner - we would have except she was not around and never came back after we were served our dinners.
I have not been to a restaurant this bad in a long time. Guaranteed will not be back
Unfortunately picked this place for a special occasion and we were hoping for a quiet dinner. This restaurant is right next to the golf course and on a Friday seemed to be many golfers in the bar area. The dining area is tiny and the kitchen door was left open so we heard the sounds from the kitchen (radio and singing).
I suggest going with friends and just hanging out at the bar. The mixed drinks were awesome!
However for the price of the food and quality of food i would go somewhere else.
The Farmhouse is a place that feels like home....like you invited guests over to sit, relax and enjoy a good meal. It's really not all about the food; the atmosphere and service is why we keep coming back. Having said that, I do think I had the best veal I have ever had during our last meal. It was juicy, and flavorful, and I would order it again. So while the food is consistently good, it is sometimes great. We will be back to enjoy another evening meal at this beautiful country neighborhood gem.
Went for a mid week quiet meal w friends. Table wasn't available for approx 20 minutes, so why use open table? Then the golf league Buffett was set up next our table while we were seated and the golfers lined up next to our table. Thus the noise level ramped up. And sweaty golfers stood next to us in their buffet line. Other than that, Nice place, nice food, decent beer selection. Gotta laugh it off or you'll go nuts.
We had a party of six. Although the portions were small for the price, the food and service was good. The negative issue was a group of four who arrived before us, and left after us. They finished their meal shortly after were arrived, but remained after we left. The group drank quite a bit of beer and they were extremely loud.
Really enjoyed the Farm House Restaurant. This was our first time and I would love to go back. The food and drinks were outstanding. The only down side is the lack of servers they had on staff. One bartender was running the entire restaurant - serving indoor and outdoor guests, serving people at the bar, and making all drinks. Due to that service was very slow, but we were not in a rush. Would not recommend for a short meal.
We enjoyed our dinner at this unassuming, pleasantly comfortable restaurant along with the very nice setting alongside a golf course. The food was actually better than I anticipated and the price was very fair.
Unfortunately, there was an extremely loud, and, in our opinion, a very poor singer screaming away that evening. It was borderline offensive which made it somewhat comical.
I will want to go back to the restaurant especially while the summer weather is here, but I will be sure to check if there is any entertainment ahead of time.
We sat for over an hour, finally got our drinks and 2 rolls. Eventually the waitress walks past and nonchalantly says, oh the kitchen has been backed up all night, your appetizers should be out soon. No apology, no can I get you more bread, another drink, anything? We paid for our drinks got up, walked out and found another place to have dinner. Will never return here.
