We went here for my sister's birthday and enjoyed it! The plates were small, so I wouldn't come really hungry, but we did mostly order off the 'sharables' part of the menu.

Have eaten at the FG before and it was better then. Now the problem was very slow service on drinks. We had to wait 15 minutes for a beer and gin and tonic. I had steak and the meat was of good quality and done right but it had somehow dried out and was kind of cold when it got to the table. Perhaps they were just short on staff this particular evening but I was underwhelmed.

Will still go to this place again as I have had good experience before.

Cavatelli was amazing. Always great creative drinks. Been coming here for a few years now. Why didn't they get a Michelin Star? Bring back the candied carrots!

Small menu with excellent execution of everything we ordered. Even the vegetable dish was complex in flavors and memorable. The prawns were amazing and the octopus tender and just perfect. We will be back. This will replace Kapnos for us in that area of downtown.

Wow the food taste amazing here just googled nearby restuarants while i was on a visit from NY. I Got the octopus it was amazing , my girlfriend got the chicken it was amaazing this place will not dissapoint you, also the drinks were really good and creative twist.

Seemed to have good quality food and some interesting cocktails. I went with my wife and a friend. We combined for six drinks and five plates of "family-style" food to share and had a total bill of $180 after tip. The food and drink was good, but there are many others restaurants I'd rather spend $180 at. I think the prices are a little out of scale. For example, we paid $17 for a plate of asparagus and $20 for two large crab legs. Each plate of food was priced as an entree but contained about half the amount of food of an ordinary entree. The result is instead of having three individuals each spending $20 on an entree and being content, the three of us had to purchase five plates at an average price of $18. I don't have a problem paying higher prices for food, but I would have rated the value of our meal at around $130 not $180.

Got two vegetarian dishes to share with a friend and they were absolutely delicious. Get the asparagus and the roasted veggies! Sauces were yummy.

Came here for brunch with friends - great spot for brunch. Bottomless bloodys, peach/regular/white cranberry mimosas that were strong. The chicken and waffles were to die for.

Have heard good things about this place so decided to give it a try for a friend's birthday. The place is cute, and the staff very friendly. Lots of seasonal ingredients in the dishes, and the raw and roasted veggies with green goddess dressing and the duck egg tartine were especially good. Pork belly with corn bread was disappointing, as the pork belly was a bit over cooked and tough, and the "corn bread" was actually corn bread cream that didn't really taste like corn bread and didn't add anything to the dish. Overall good, and I would be back.

Pricey, but imaginative and perfectly prepared dishes and excellent craft cocktails.

Went here for dinner on a Saturday. I have been wanting to try Fainting Goat for a while but we all left a bit disappointed. The goat cheese fondue was delicious but the rest of the dishes were just okay. They were lacking flavor and the entrees were pretty small for the price. Decent bar scene- so if I went back, it would just be for drinks.

Really fabulous food! We shared the octopus and, on our server's recommendation, the rock fish. Both were truly divine. We will be back!!

The fondue was amazing! Great selection of beers, cocktails, and wines. The ambiance was great! Perfect spot for a date or cocktails. Adventurous food menu perfect for foodies.

Mimosas lacked bubbles. We basically drank juice for 2 hours.

Food was good (under-seasoned but it's DC, that's the norm) but portions were small.

The service was 100% amazing. The food was good and the whole experience was 5 star quality. Very hospitable.

The food was good although the menu description didn't always match. We had the pork belly and the description mentioned ramps. The only ramps were a light drizzle of ramp pesto. The description didn't mention peanuts and they were prominently featured in the dish. The server did tell us there would be peanuts.

The reception was very odd. We arrived 5 minutes early for our reservation. Even though there were several empty tables, we were asked to wait at the bar. After we received our drinks, I looked over at the hostess to see how much longer the wait would be. She indicated our table was ready and she walked us over to one of the tables that was empty when we arrived 5 minutes earlier. Not sure why we had to wait 5 minutes. Maybe the table servers don't like to take drink orders. So they send you to the bar first. The whole situation just seemed weird and set the tone for the rest of the evening.

Generally very good although a couple of the wait staff were amateurs.

It is a great menu for sharing. The 3 of us were able to do a tasting of 4 different entrees, 3 seafood and 1 veggie. The handcrafted cocktails were fun!

One of our party has food allergies which the server was wonderful about checking with the chef. Chef was flexible and the food was wonderful

Just visiting D.C., this was a chance find. Fascinating area, cool surroundings, great cocktail list and offbeat menu. Will definitely be back.

Chose The Fainting Goat as a pre-theater place to meet and eat. This was our first time eating at this restaurant. The food was good and eclectic. Service was great, cocktails were creative and really good. Close to Lincoln Theater. Highly recommend.

Good menu, excellent food, liked the arrangement of the menu from light to heavy fare. We shared steak and prawns, just the right amount before a show at the Lincoln Theater, just a block away.

The food is fine, and the service was good. When one of the shrimp in my dish wasn't cooked, they brought a new dish out. However, the servings are very small for for the price. The price is relative high for mediocre food.

Went at 11:30 AM for brunch on a Saturday, low key, wonderful service, attentive service, and the short rib was perfectly tender. My friend had the French toast which was perfectly cooked with in house made toppings.

The burger was amazing. The half price wine for Sunday brunch is definitely a plus.

The Mother's Day brunch was delicious and fun. Our server was kind and spot on with his recommendations. His thoughtfulness and sense of humor made the brunch even more enjoyable.

My husband loved his lox and plentiful toppings for the sandwich special. The eggs in a pastry was melt in you're mouth delectable. I liked the spring veggies with it too!

And the coffee cake, oh my, try it!!! It's addicting.

My mom and I celebrated Mother's Day here. I had been before and I had thought it was pretty good (had the french toast, cheese board, and short ribs) which were pretty tasty, so I figured I'd give it another whirl. My mom, being the guest of honor, had trouble deciding between chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits, so we got both and the coffee cake. It was the best decision we've made in a long time. The shrimp and grits were so good we didn't want to finish it! The grits had copious amounts of delicious cheddar cheese and on top of that were fried into a patty. The shrimp were buttery and salty and and beautifully cooked (I'm not usually a big shrimper). The meal came with 6 medium sized shrimp but I could have eaten 2 dozen because they were so good! The chicken and waffles was so wonderful and served with a spicey berry syrup. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the breading was delightful. The coffee cake was "eh" and I'd give the coffee a B. The delicious shrimp and grits more than makes up for this.

Conveniently located across from the Lincoln Theater. The goat cheese fondue was awesome with yummy bread. Prawns & plantains perfectly prepared. And the burger - best ever! The fancy drink and beer selections are unique and delicious.

We made a reservation as it was our first anniversary, which I indicated on the reservation. After a cold reception, they put us at a tiny table. They did not say welcome, smile or acknowledge that it was our anniversary. It wasn't busy -- perhaps 10% full.

Very nice atmosphere but it was drenched in the staff's entitlement, who all seemed like bratty teenagers too put off to work. They only had one glass of the wine we requested, which we split. Our waitress was unfriendly and distracted so we left. She chased us out the door to pay for the wine, but we had left ample cash to pay for it and cover a tip (why, I don't know) on the table. We were really looking forward to it but were totally unimpressed.
