I have always loved eating there the food is good and the location is better yet.
Had reservations for 5 pm on 11/29. Asked for a window seat which they honored. The server was fine. However a "mixup" in the kitchen meant that my french onion soup came out at the same time as my entree. Same with my table mate. The server did not charge us for the soups which I appreciated. My burger was good but the fries were limp and lukewarm. All in all a very expensive hamburger.
Service was horrible. The wait staff tried but very understaffed. Had to go downstairs to bar to order drinks. It took almost an hour to take our order.
I took my husband here for his 30th birthday dinner. I made reservations and our table was ready right when we got there. It took a while for our food to come out but luckily we were not in any rush. When the food finally came, it was hot, fresh and delicious! We will definitely be recommending the Emporium to all our family and friends!
Wonderful facility, great waitress, food is just so-so, won’t go back anytime soon.
Server very friendly and accommodating. There was a mix-up in the kitchen that led to rolls being delayed .. and then delivered under-baked. Restaurant wasn’t crowded, but took a while to get food, too. We have been here before — and would try it again. May have just been an off night.
Lovely restaurant with great views of the river, good drinks, and delicious food. Our waitress was attentive, and also personable.
Ordered MED Rare Prime Rib, came rare and bloody. Ordered Seared Tuna...had great taste but Noodle were over cooked and mush
Prime rib very flavorful and tender. Green beans cooked just right so were crisp without being rubbery. Staff very attentive and noise level just right. Excellent meal.
We choice to sit outside because it was a lovely evening and not disappointed. Inside was a little nosier but outside was perfect where we ate.
It was very loud and the menu online said they had duck and when we got there the waitress said they haven't had duck on the menu in 3 years. Very disappointed
I am really surprised with being a better quality dining establishment that I was handed a Dirty paper menu. That kinda turned me off. The menu's had stains all over them and no way to clean them. My suggestion would be to laminate them so they can be wiped down with sanitizer wipes.
Vacation dinner w/family. We also enjoyed their rooftop bar with beautiful view of the sunset, great ambiance, live music.
Limited menu but worked out for my son with food allergies. Waitress was very abrupt.
Nothing special. Food was bland. We ate outside so I can't say what the noise level was inside. Our waitress was a little slow.
We had a wonderful meal. My family took our parents their for my moms 81st birthday and she loved it
It doesn't look like you have invested any money back into your business. Anyway, the table we had the table top was flaking and peeling. It was raining, so didn't get the view we had anticipated, but that wasn't your fault.
We would have enjoyed it much better if we weren't fighting to keep a fly off of our table and food. We thought we would try the Emporium again, as we hadn't been here in a few years and thought we would give it another chance. The best part of our meal was our server. She was terrific. But, we battled a pesky fly throughout the entire dinner. Our swordfish was quite fishy and a little tough. All three of us wanted the apple dessert but there was only one left. We wanted to like it, as we had in years past really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food at the Emporium. Sadly, it isn't anywhere near what it used to be.
Beautiful place to enjoy a meal and relax with friends and family.
Food was ok. Noise level was high. Everything looks old and outdsted. The waitress was super nice and sweet.
Food and service were good. Atmosphere was great. Enjoyed our experience and will be back.
Always been such a nice place to have a wonderful, relaxing meal.
We had a very nice evening
Nice but meals unsatisfactory. Greek
Chicken dry and so tough even a steak knife provided hardly cut it; union soup tasted by
3 of our party rated too salty to drink; emporium gave a discount but comments from our friend said we will
Not come back. Too bad As we have had good experience in the past. Very embarrasing to us:
I went here on a date and couldn't have dreamt of a better experience. My meal, the ribeye with mashed potatoes and green beans, was incredible! The steak was cooked to medium rare, as per my request, but was more tender and juicy than some raw steaks! Our waitress was very helpful, stopping by not too frequently, but still enough to tend to any need. I would absoloutely reccommend!
I made a reservation for Saturday night for three people only to arrive at the reservation time to be told that they were closed, and that the door should have been locked. No one seemed to care, apologize, or try to figure the situation.
The French Onion soup was very short on onions or cheese. Mostly a watery concoction with a few croutons thrown in. Certainly not worth $6. My companion ordered the burger medium rare. It was served well done. She returned it and the replacement was even closer to well done. Last stop at this establishment for me.
Nice view from outside, good food, good veg options.
Enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was prepared just the way we requested it. Our server (Adam I believe was his name) was great. He was friendly and funny. We really enjoyed our dinner and it was worth the drive. We would and have recommended it to friends and family.
We always enjoy going to the Emporium. Food is delicious and service is excellent.
This was the second time that we were there. Love the building. Very disappointed in the variety of food available. Did not feel the value of the food for the money was appropriate. Felt that you are paying for more of the atmosphere than the food. The quality of food was not great. Someone had the Shrimp Pasta meal. There was hardly any shrimp - maybe 4-5.
We were celebrating a graduation and had hoped Emporium on the river would be nice. I am generous w ratings but ... We were seated at a great table overlooking the river but the windows were quite dirty. Blinds were crooked and pulled to multiple levels in all windows and looked sloppy. Appetizers of baked Brie and arancini were quite good. Three of four of us ordered the prime rib which we ordered medium rare. It came out grey. Our attentive and very nice waitress Jessica asked us to cut into them because they did not look medium rare - grey all the way through. She took them right back to the kitchen where they finally told her that all they has was well to medium well prime rib. The three of us reordered. Two of us ordered different steaks medium rare. They came out on the well side of medium. Because we had already been there for some time, we did not send them back. We were offered credit toward our bill which was appropriate. Emporium has potential but for us, it was no more than 3 stars. Thank you, though, to Jessica who did her best to take care of us!
Really great food, the service wasn’t super fast but I get it, it was prom night. The restaurant itself is really pretty definitely recommend it
90 minute delay for the meal, overcooked food, chairs being stacked all around us as we tried to eat our meal quickly. My order for a digestif was declined because it was “too late” at 8:30pm. The experience was ended with a panhandler in the lobby asking for money.
Not for Mothers Day. we were in a corner with dark marred walls. Our 8 yr old grand child wanted to leave . The waitress was busy so our wait during the entire meal was lengthy. Our Grandchild ordered fries which were very dark in color. I ordered a Cajun salad that shrimp so mushy I could not eat them. The cajun sausage was 3 raggedly cut chunks. There was nothing special about this salad. My daughter ordered Tilapia which was so fishy, we could smell it coming. It was gray in color with uncolorful rice blend. It was an ugly looking plate. My husband ordered steak and fries. He brought half his steak home and did not eat the dark fries. We were so disappointed. There was no Mothers Day menu printed on line , soe we thought we would have multiple choices. The way the food was prepared it probably would not make any difference. No dessert on menue and none was offered
steak was awful. server only came by once, didn't even ask us how our food was. awful service and food
Good service & enjoyed views of river with art installations. Friendly service. Filet was great. Partner ordered fish & chips. Fish portion small, fries with too much salt. Meal discounted by 50%.
Great Food and Great Service! Our server was very personable and accommodating.
Beautiful place, exceptional food. But we did have to wait on our server a few times. Maybe they were short staffed. It was not a busy time.
Excellent steak and shrimp dinners!
