Great service, Delicious food. Planning a reunion dinner here for the fall!
We really appreciated the outstanding service! Its an attractive environment and not too noisy, so that you aren't exhausted by having to talk loud or strain to hear conversation.
As good place to have a sit down meal with colleagues and execute lunch meetings and discussions with relative privacy. Great food options. I had the open faced caprese sandwich which was great.
An overpriced travesty serviced by staff that should serve fries and water, not twenty-dollar sandwiches. Very sad.
Excellent as usual. Portion a little on small side for the price. But taste is right on.
Good place though pricey. Quality and service was very good. Not crowded. Hidden secret.
Had the halibut special today. It was overcooked and was chewy. Other meals I have had are always good, especially the sandwiches and hamburgers. The specials tend to be touch and go.
The staff is excellent!!! Food is great and service is always outstanding!
The service is always impeccable at the Edmondson Faculty Center. Carol at the front is friendly and amazing and Angel...well, Angel is a wonder. Both Carol and Angel are super friendly and nice. They make eating at the faculty center more enjoyable!
I had the Morton Cobb. The amount of protein in it was snack size and the entire salad was very small. For the amount they are charging at least have 4 oz. of chicken to make up for the size. The chicken pieces looked like I was sharing my half breast with someone else.
Food was good, pricey though and the service was just so slow. No wait staff came by to ask how we were doing and had to ask for refills of iced tea.
Conveniently located and tasty meals. A bit on the pricey side for the environment and location.
We had a business lunch set and the alarm went off shortly after our meal came out, and the staff was absolutely fantastic. They set a table for us outside and they had our food and drinks out and were just amazing. There was not a single flaw. We are so grateful.
My colleagues had burgers and fries which looked delicious and were enjoyed, I had a quinoa goats cheese salad, which was very tasty.
The swordfish special was delicious. The dessert wasn't too great, but the service always is stellar!
Need more menu variety and better food. Sometimes noise level can be too loud
The food is great at The Edmondson, but what really makes it amazing is the staff! From the moment you walk in, the hostess, the busers, the waiters, the bartender, everyone is kind and professional.
I enjoy the professional staff and the food is always very good.
The food is usually very good, but this time, my steak was very salty, overcooked, and dry (I asked for medium rare). Also, the server ran his pen against my husband's light-color Polo shirt and didn't even apologize. We're not sure if we can get the pen mark out of the front of the shirt now. Very disappointed as this is fairly unusual.
Carol, Angel, Victor and the crew at the Faculty Center are all excellent.
The staff is just amazing!! I have never felt so welcome at a restaurant!
Carol is always super helpful and Angel offers the best service!
Per our student representative,
"It was amazing. Great food, great atmosphere, and great service!"
Carol and Angel are really great people. Carol is always available to help and Angel is the best!
I've eaten here a few times....and this last my guests were complaining about the poor service. It seemed there were waiters taking care of all of the tables around us, but it took the restaurant more than 10 minutes to get our drinks and another 10 before someone took our order. I like the food and it would be so much nicer if the servers were more timely.
Work events bring me here, usually for lunch, once or twice a year, for several years. Usually get the same unfriendly waiter, Victor, who does his best to make you feel like an annoyance. This time, as is generally the case, it didn't appear to be busy in the restaurant, yet he's in a hurry. Too busy to explain anything on the menu. Just wants to get you in and out as quickly as possible. How has he kept his job for so many years? (Maybe he wears someone else's name tag) I think your survey is laughable! Other than the decor, not much has changed.
I got the hamburger, because even with "department" money, nothing looked interesting or to be of good value. The burger was essentially an unseasoned hunk of meat. The meat was OK, but there was no attempt to make it flavorful. The menu emphasizes that the burger has "caramelized onions", which I like. I asked Victor for extra grilled onions; he made a note, and when he brought the order, said "with extra grilled onions". There were very few onions and the burger had no flavor. I don't see significant improvement over the last 8 years or so.
Staff is wonderful. Very accommodating. Location is in the center of a hospital health science community so there are many that come for lunch from work. Great place to book a meeting. They have a board room like lunch/dining experience.
The food was delicious and expertly prepared. However, only go there if your work is paying for the meal or you are feeling extremely generous. I had a beautiful seafood meal that only took about 10 bites to eat it all and cost $30! And of course, the non-alcoholic drinks and dessert added quite a bit more on the bill. For most wealthy people, I am sure this must seem very reasonable, but for me, I could only afford this kind of meal about once a year and just for a very special occasion. But like I said, the food was awesome!
The faculty center never ceases to amaze me with their yummy food. The service as always is great.
Excellent place for a lunch meeting yet classy enough for a special occasion to bring family and friends to.
The staff at the EFC are great. The food is good, but the chicken in the salad was so dry I couldn't eat it :/
improve your menu items. Have a focus group to get feedback.
The remodel was very nicely done and the ambience was modern and pleasant. I ordered one of their non-alcoholic specialty drinks with cucumber and coconut water and found it to be a bit too salty. My colleague ordered an iced tea with gold flakes, which was beautiful. My vegetable sandwich on focaccia bread was poorly presented and small in portion for the price. It had way too much olive tapenade so all in all I was disappointed by the food.
This was my third time in the new Edmundson. The first two were in a group in a private room. All went well. On the most recent occasion it was just two of us in the main room. The waiter clearly forgot about us. I had to get his attention to order. I also had to go to the front desk, after waiting far too long, that are meals, two salads, never arrived. My guest had to leave with her meal barely touched. I attribute this glitch to the first weeks' transition and look forward to better experiences in the future. I will be back.
This is a great place to have a sit down lunch. As always, the faculty center does not disappoint with their delicious food and their wonderful staff.
