The Edge Restaurant and Bar at the Timberline Condominiums is open for dinner nightly beginning at 5:00pm. Chef Jason DeBacker has created an alpine inspired cuisine featuring classic cheese fondue, homemade sausage, salads, soups and other alpine dishes. Visited The Edge two times during my visit to Snowmass in February. Reservations are available on Open Table so we took advantage of that.
The pork schnitzel and wurst platter (bierwurst and Hühnerbratwurst ) were the dishes of choice. The portions were large and we ended up taking leftovers home.
Dessert selection and wine selection were good. Servers were very attentive. Santiago was very helpful.

We lived in Germany for five years and find The Edgentonhave truly authentic German cuisine. Everything is delicious, and the service is attentive. Highly recommend!

Llegamos 15 minutos tarde a nuestra reserva y nos dijeron que no teníamos mesa disponible entonces nos ofrecieron la barra para comer con niños. Finalmente, encontraron una mesa acorde y pudimos comer aunque la mesa que teníamos reserva nunca se ocupo por lo tanto lo único que quisieron fue generar un malestar. Cuando llego la cuenta tenía incluida una propina del 20 por ciento que se le sumaba impuestos pero que decía opcional. Sinceramente pagar un 22% de propina por el mal servicio nos pareció un despropósito y decidimos dejar un 14% y entonces la moza nos siguió reclamando la diferencia. Una verdadera estafa.

Great Austrian menu that reminded me of my youth. All plates were tasty and the only problem was that I ate too much, sampling many things.
Google Map was confused as to location - upstairs in the Timberline condo building, but the locals aimed us the right way

We were able to make reservations easily and were seated right away. They were at the end of the season so items on the menu we wanted to try were not available and there were limited selections for food and alcohol. The food was good and the veal schnitzel was the best item we tried. Overall it was good.

I lived in Germany 4 years. they had to be good, or I would not even bother writing this. I LOVE German cuisine and this chef has got it down! Perfect appetizers (fried Gouda balls...WHAT!?!?) Great cocktails and wine menu (try one of the Rieslings). Perfectly cooked meat and sauce...and VERY good v vegetables and sides. Our waitress was perfectly lovely and attentive, and the host remembered that this was a bucket list trip for me and offered the desserts comped...I have rarely felt so special. You must try The Edge if you are in the area....or make the trip. You will be very pleased. Schmeck gut!!

Edge was exceptional in every way from authentic German food (some of best we have had outside of Germany) and beer (Hofbrau Draft) at Happy Hour prices in the dining room. Service was impeccable without being overbearing. Very reasonable prices with a great quantity of food. Well worth the drive to the top of Snowmass.

A small restaurant located in the Timberline Condo Complex. Great place for a "different" menu. Nice and friendly service and good food. (German/Alpine dining).

My wife and I had dinner twice at the Edge while staying in Snowmass Village. The restaurant is a little bit away from the mall, but easy to find. The food and beers are great. Service is very good and you sit outside (biergarten). The food is good German food and very tasty.
They have a Happy Hour from 5 to 7 pm with half off drinks.

We had a wonderful meal here. We each started with the goulash soup which was as good as any that we had in Transylvania, Romania or Hungary. We ordered the cheese fondue that was substantial and more than we could finish. The service was great and the prices were very reasonable. This was, by far, the best meal we had on our 3 day long weekend in the Aspen-Snowmass area. Definitely, a keeper.

This Dinner was just what we needed after a long day of travel. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad, stuffed veal entree and apple strudel dessert. The portions were quite large and sharing was perfect for us...and everything tasted really good. My husband is quite critical of restaurants since he likes to cook but gave this restaurant 5s for all categories. We really enjoyed the atmosphere...quiet enough to talk and hear with good selection fir background music.

A repeat visit to the Edge. We had high expectations because of our previous experience. We dined on the gypsy schnitzel. The schnitzel itself was well done. However, the sauce that was prepared was subpar. The mushrooms in the sauce were not fresh and had the texture of those that were previously dehydrated and not properly rehydrated. Perhaps it was the time of year and the end of season - but using fresh mushrooms in the sauce would have made all the difference! The service was fantastic and the apfel strudel was excellent! We will still be back.

Cheese fondue not very tasty. The salad had so much garlic I couldn't eat it. Blueberry vodka drink had so much blueberries and muddled mint in it I couldn't use a straw. Tasty but felt like part of a meal

This menu is German/Austrian inspired and delicious. The handmade fresh bread to start with the creamy cheese is wonderful. Can recommend the schnitzel, the chicken or the steak. The deserts are amazing so save some room. Wine selection is great and if you have never visited Austria or Germany then you really must try the Gluhwein - hot red wine, sweetened and with orange and a cinnamon stick - yum!
