I don’t have anything to say about the food or the ambiance, the restaurant marked me as a no show 20 minutes before our reservation time was to start and we weren’t able to eat here. Very rude.
The food was nice but incredibly overpriced so would not dream of coming back.
I had not even finished signing my check and the staff grab the bill, napkins and unfinished drinks from the table. We had only been dining for 90 minutes. The food was good but the staff was very anxious and in welcoming. Will not return.
Mediocre food and service.
First time for older NYers in their late 70s who really enjoyed this hot spot at noon on Sunday before going to the Film Forum for the Aretha Franklin Amazing Grace documentary. Exceedingly well run. Every table was full. Inventive menu with innovative twists on traditional dishes. Gracious front desk staff who handle the eager patrons well. Pleasant efficient wait staff who know how to get you out by the desired time. Good mixed drinks. Good wine by the glass. Liked the eggplant salad dip, white bean soup, salad with toasted carmelized walnuts, omelette, fries, beef, apple pie. Eager to return for weekday lunch or early dinner when The Dutch might be less busy and quieter.
Wonderful atmosphere, gorgeous food. What a lovely place for brunch
Great place for bunch. I would definitely go back and recommend friends.
Huge disappointment. Way over priced and food was mediocre. Not worth it
Great meal and cocktails! Creative menu that didn’t disappoint.
The Dutch is my favorite restaurant. But Thursday was the first time I ordered any food item I didn't like. It was their farmer's salad with caramel coated nuts. Like candy as an appetizer when I was looking for a healthy starter to go with my amazing tile fish. The side of brussel sprouts were an absolute revelation.
The Dutch was a good experience. First the service, fantastic. The wait staff is very well trained and table service from the support crew is also outstanding. The menu is quite diverse and in general, the fool quality is excellent. We started with Oysters, and the presentation and quality of the food was great! I ordered scallops, and my dining partner ordered fried chicken. The chicken came to the table piping hot, however my scallops were lukewarm to cold - at best. I was really disappointed, and had a hard time communicating to my waiter that this wasn't really acceptable. There was no offer to heat it, no offer to make a change, no fix. That said, overall, you should try The Dutch. Although very noisy, you will probably enjoy the experience.
Returning customer. Not let down. Great atmosphere. Amazing food, excellent service. Bit pricy.
The Dutch is one of our favorite restaurants in SoHo. The hot fried chicken is tremendous and it comes with delicious honey-dripped biscuits that are so good I sometimes dream about them. The gnocchi was excellent as well and was a surprisingly generous portion. The Dutch is so good, it's sometimes difficult to even try another restaurant in SoHo because I know I won't be disappointed here.
Great holiday luncheon with friends of 50 yrs......food and service was perfect and our one friend walked with a cane and the hostess was so helpful!
planned a 10 person weekend lunch at the Dutch and they were very happy to accommodate, even during the busy holiday season. we had 4 toddlers in our group and felt very welcome and at home - we were not rushed and never felt like we were making too much nose. It was FUN!
Thank you to the team for an excellent anniversary brunch date, especially with the unexpected touch at the end of the meal, perfect ending!
Excellent food, service, drinks. Will come back for sure
Top notch as always , already looking forward to my next visit .
Loved the energy of the restaurant. Our server was great.
Amazing night and staff! Accommodated our request for a corner table for our anniversary - then surprised us with sparklers and a treat... food was Amazing! Champagne, King Crab and Oysters to start followed by signature Fried Chicken (awesome) and Scallops ... and truffle mashed
We always like this place. I like the smoked turkey sandwich and my partner likes the chicken. It’s just great food.
Awesome. Had a great bday brunch here.
We were last minute diners on a Friday night so were holding our breath that we could get in. The young lady who took our call encouraged us to come in and sure enough, we grabbed 2 seats at the bar. Shrimp cocktail, raw oysters, house side salad and hangar steak were shared and all excellent! Attentive service. Go!
My friend and I went to catch up Friday night after work. It was loud and crowded and it was hard to hear. Service was good and the food was good. But next time I want to hear the conversation or not have the guy at the table next to my side swipe my bread plate with his butt, I’ll go somewhere else. Great place for late night dining though :)
I hadn't been to the Dutch in some time and it was a last minute choice - selected for convenience and familiarity. We expected good. It was closer to great. The menu was interesting. The service, food and ambiance were all stellar! I'll definitely be going back.
First time to this fantastic Soho find. Most of our party had the fried chicken which was out of this world. Our son had the Rabbit Pot Pie and my husband had the Hangar steak. Both were also fantastic. Outstanding bar...we had Manhattans which were wonderful. We will be sre to make this one of our regular stops when we are in Soho!
Very pricey for what it is
Terribly overpriced for the type of restaurant that it is. Service was fine. There is no meed to return to this venue - not special.
While the atmosphere was lovely, the food, prices and service left a lot to be desired. We would not come back.
Good food. Hanger steak was excellent.
Loved it all
A great Thanksgiving experience here but didn’t exceeded expectations. Missed opportunity I felt
That said a very good meal indeed
We went with our friends for Thanksgiving dinner and it was absolutely brilliant - fantastic service and delicious food.
Went for Thanksgiving for the second time in three years, this year with my 18 month old. Fabulous experience all around. The food was great and plentiful, the staff was an absolute joy and they were very good with my kid- they obviously know what they are doing with respect to kids despite not being a place that caters to them.
Great food! Always a good choice when looking for solid food!
Brunch on Sunday. Reservation needed. Food was great. Fried chicken and biscuits were delicious. Chicken was extra crispy on the outside but moist inside. My husband has the flapjacks, which were amazing. We also had sticky ribs as an appetizer. House Bloody Mary is dangerous but so good! Great service and ambiance for meeting friends
didn't like the hostess. she had us wait for 5 min after our reservation and was not very simpatic at reception.
the waitress was great.
Excellent, attentive staff. Brunch was delicious.
I had brunch at the Dutch on a Sunday. I do understand that it was a busy day for the waitress but once she took our order she disappeared. Never came back to check if we liked the food or wanted anything else. I ordered the Burrata with Nutella toast. The dish looked really good on paper but it didn’t translate well. The flavors were off. The nut sauce on top of the burrata just ruined everything for me. I also ordered a green juice and that was fine. My friend ordered the Turkey sandwich and was not impressed either.
I am not sure I would go back but the place itself is beautiful and I love that neighborhood. Maybe dinner is a better option. I really wanted to love that place but I feel they could use some constructive criticism. Maybe I just ordered the wrong item on the menu but since the waitress was never back to check on me I just had a bite and was extremely disappointed with the service and food ☹️
Yum ! Great food , wine and atmosphere
