Service was AMAZING! Drinks and dishes all great!!! Will definitely recommend this place and is on our repeat list for our next visit to NYC!
Birthday dinner food and service were excellent
Food was better than we anticipated, fantastic ravioli. Had to ask 3 times for bread...
Great meal as always. Montauk fluke dish was a standout. Well prepared and accompaniments were pleasant taste surprises (marmalade on japanese sweet potatoes -yum)
Service is always top drawer.
My business dinner was hit.
Fantastic food, great cocktails. Loved the restautrant
Not worth going
Food was extremely good. Ambiance very nice. Service? I may be old fashioned, but I am just not keen on waiters giving the impression that you are lucky to be at their restaurant and fortunate that they are giving you their time. Our waiter mumbled so softly that we couldnt even hear the specials...like he was going us a favor. I am not saying he has to be the obnoxious type who tells you his name and tries to be our best friend, but surely there is a happy mediium, isn't there? I mean, does he really need to be that cool?
This is my fathers favorite restaurant, so anytime he’s in town to visit, this is where we go because this place runs like clock work, and the food is always impeccable!!
Always a great place to eat and drink. Food is wonderful. Oysters are always fresh and lots of selections. The fried chicken is a must. Bartenders are pros. Great place in the day when the windows are open and fresh air rolls in. If you’re in this part of town, make sure you hit The Dutch.
We absolutely loved The Dutch. Yes, it is fairly loud if it's busy - so keep that firmly in mind when making a res and do not expect otherwise - but the service and food is terrific. We had the sunflower toast/fig item, the summer salad, the ravioli and the lamb; all were delicious, well prepared, well plated. Service was spot on, consistent but unobtrusive. We'd return in a heartbeat.
consistently good, great bartenders, experienced wait staff, great food, nice crafted drinks
Here with out of town friends and the meal was fantastic. It felt like a private club. The early summer menu was excellent. Try the soft shelled crabs if they’re still on the menu.
Great. Timely and friendly service!
Wonderful and not crowded
Brought my visiting in-laws. Applies were great - the burrata popover and ribs were Great. The calamari was the weaker one. Entrees were also terrific - skirt steak was a bit spicy and great, fluke delicious and one had the lobster appie as entree which, coupled with the our-of-this-world broccoli, made a great main course. Other fish entree (forget which fish) was thoroughly enjoyed. The service was perfect. All round great night and in laws impressed!
Great tasty food for brunch.
Expensive green smoothie! $11.00 per glass.
If you’re looking for somewhere quiet. This isn’t for you. It was noisy but very energetic!
Overpriced very mediocre food. Kale Caesar was dry and terrible, eggplant dip was good, and fried chicken was mediocre. Just didn’t get the right bang for our buck.
It was very loud. When we first arrived the table we were offered was basically in the kitchen so we were moved to the room where the bar is. The food was excellent. When the manager noticed that we were being ignored by our server he overcompensated by focusing on our table and offering us drinks on the house. I would give them another chance because the food was so good and they made the effort to fix what had not going all that well in the beginning.
Super noisy restaurant as there is no separation between the bar and the dining table. I barely hear anything the waiter or my date said during the entire dinner. The kimchi fried rice is delicious! The sticky ribs were very good too. The scallop was so-so as the seasoning wasn’t sprinkled even enough. The corn bread was very good. Hi
We hosted friends from Hong Kong who were in NYC prior to attending their daughter’s Princeton commencement services.
Outstanding evening. Lovely table, superb meal and excellent support by the front desk hosts and the sommelier. We visit often and continue to be impressed by the care and effortless attention by the staff and bartenders — they clearly enjoy being aligned w The Dutch. Thank You.
DUTCH was terrific, very packed and noisy, but the service was terrific, the menu a manageable size, and everything was delicious, so no complaints anywhere and a couple of atta-boys thrown in as a topping
As usual, the Dutch always delivers. I love their special holiday events. This year it was Memorial Day BBQ menu. Cocktails with great also
There was a different server every few minutes who came around to change out plates and silverware. Beyond excessive. I was asked 6 different times if I was done with my meal. Food is amazing but the service was way too involved and prevented me from relaxing and enjoying my meal.
Brunch was delicious! Started with a doughnut tree for the table. The service was great, the staff is very accommodating and knowledgeable of the menu. The bartenders are exceptional at their craft. Been for dinner before and wanted to try the brunch and I’m glad I did.
Get the steak and eggs with kimchi fried rice, it’s incredible.
Loved brunch at The Dutch, especially the honey butter biscuits. Would highly recommend this restaurant and would return.
Came back to The Dutch a second year in a row to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and they welcomed us as if we were regulars. The fried chicken is worth a trip, and their desserts are worth breaking your diet for!
Average food, expensive drinks and service SO phony and pretentious it's laughable.
We were seated at the opening of the kitchen next to a service station. Chair was bumped numerous times, heavy server and customer traffic, dark and kitchen noise which made talking difficult. Regret not asking that we be moved.
Service was very good and we enjoyed our meals.
One of the best restaurants in New York City. The best place to eat in SOHO.
The FRIED CHICKEN exceeds the limits of greatness. A transcendental experience bordering on a visit with Picasso and Vincent Van Gogh for the art of superior food!
Cold beer, cool people, slaw, and biscuits derived directly from Heaven
i have had lunch and dinner there in the past two weeks. excellent food, friendly service. noise level tolerable. very attractive restaurant I would recommend highly.
Service was very pushy, both at the bar and at the table! They were in a rush to get us in and out.
Brunch on the weekend. It was very tasty and great flavors
We waited thirty minutes for the table we had reserved...
It was my friend's birthday and they brought her a firecracker in a biscuit! They even took a polaroid of her & gave it to her after. And not to mention, the incredibly attentive and kind staff from the hostess to our waitress to the manager/sommelier (?) who came by with the final bill to wish us a nice evening. Thank you for making her birthday really special.
We had a great time!
The place is great. Food was very tasteful and deserts as well. Only issue is the noise level. Way too noisy. All tables need to yel to be heard. Staff is amazing.
The food is excellent and the service is very good. Wine by the glass is ok. Overall rather expensive and should be for a special occasion (ours was Mother's Day).
