Great food. Little too noisy. Only US Wine. Would go back certainly now that I know all of this.
Excellent - we had the T-bone steak for 2 and loved it!
I love the new summer menu and cocktails. This is my go to spot anytime I want great food and service. The squash blossoms and summer salad were fantastic!
It may not be fair to judge on a holiday item but the corn dog was a 4th of July fail. In thinking an artisan sausage would be better than a traditional hot dog, but the tough casing made it hard to bite into, and the cornbread on the outside should be fluffy, but this was flat and sad. Fries were limp but ok. Fun place, I bet the normal menu is better. (Minnesota native, fair goer, corndog expert.)
Great food and atmosphere. Will be back
Service is consistently great. Really nice vibe. Great location. Unfortunately, the food really fell short. Candidly, it's been hit or miss on the food for sometime now. Bummer...because I really enjoy everything else about the restaurant.
Small portions for big prices. My waffle had nothing extra and was $16.
This is my third visit. I have loved it all three times. Great food, great ambience, great staff.
Solid food excellent service. Menu was short in choices.
Loved every bite!
Felt very rushed, kept trying to bring mains even that we we just finishing apps. Not any finesse service either
Disappointing Brunch! The restaurant is beautiful and perhaps the dinner menu is outstanding. The brunch menu was unimpressive and the food was disappointing.
Haven’t seen my friend in 2 years!! This was the best place for catching up over dinner and amazing drinks. This is my go to place and it never lets me down!!
Very nice food and good vibes
Highly recommended for families and for somebody who loves good food
Our sever was fabulous!
First time in NYC and found this gem of a restaurant. Everything was very well prepared and love the wine being served at proper temperature. While the flank steak with the kimchi rice, pasta dish and the halibut were all really tasty the Vietnam coffee pie was phenomenal!! I would go back just for it.
As always, Erin provided impeccable and attentive service! Food good too but sooooo loud!
Never a disappointment.
The food & service were good. Definately over priced, value for your money - not really. Was there on a Sunday evening, was quite loud. Would go back, not high on my list.
I liked the initial vibe of the restaurant, but for only a party of 3 persons on Father's Day, my senior parents were not allowed to sit at the table before I had arrived. Traditional brunch food fare, but in honesty very overpriced for the quantity and standard. I had hoped to like it, but you'll have to expect a relatively overpriced average experience for NYC.
Great drinks and amazing food!
Great staff, delicious food, expensive prices
The service was wonderful. The atmosphere has its charms. It's pub-y, woodsy, painted brick wall-sy, and somehow gives you the feeling you're in an agreeable cellar, even though you're at ground level. (I do wish the noise level were a bit lower, however it was tolerable.)
The meal was unobjectionable, but it was also unremarkable. I had an (overly generous) green salad. My partner chose to have a dish of broccoli rabe for her appetizer. Then each of us had a different fish dish, (mine came with a bit of sautéed spinach). Neither of us had dessert. I did have a cup of cappucino. And each of us had a glass of sparkling rosé. Dinner, with an approximately 20 percent tip, came to $173.90. That isn't an outrage for New York, but it was definitely a bit on the high side.
I might go back if I'm in the SoHo-edge-of-Greenwich-Village neighborhood. I would kind of recommend it to a friend. But I simply cannot rave about it.
Amazing food & Service (Erin was awesome)
Fantastic food, service, and atmosphere. I had the Hot Fried Chicken which was incredible and my wife loved her Carrot Cavatelli. Six stars **
The Dutch is one of our go-to restos when friends are visiting from abroad. Staff incredibly warm and inviting. Food is top-rate. Sommelier is very well-versed, articulate and helpful. Front desk folks are lovely and accommodating. Such a marvelous place.
We had a party of 5 and a reservation. We travel with a service dog. Because, we think, of the service dog, we were relegated to a table by windows with streaming early evening sun... very difficult for those of us with light sensitivity.
Great attitude in all servers and staff! Food is interesting and delicious.
The Dutch was amazing in every way .
From the food , wine and service .
We loved it.
Thank you .
Totally overpriced for dinner, and food was just so so. We paid around 45/entree, so expected a lot more. Both of the fish portions were really small.
Fried chicken wasn't crispy, not much flavor either. Waffles were not crispy, either. The best part of the meal was the vanilla cream on top of the waffle. Waitress was nice but never bother to come by to check on us after food arrived. We asked her to take a photo for us but she said she was busy with other tables. Overall overpriced, mediocre food and average service, will not recommend and won't return.
Way too expensive for what it is (both drinks and food). Food was fine but not great. Service was underwhelming too. Unlikely I'll go back.
The food was overpriced, and the waitstaff was annoyingly absent.
At the end of the day, what really matters is the food. And The Dutch excels at this. Order the donut tree when you sit down. The fried chicken is fantastic (and the slaw that comes with it is nicely heated with jalapeño). We also ordered a spinach omelette and split all this between three of us. It was just right. The bloody Mary’s are top notch. The restaurant is really well designed and the staff attentive, friendly and good humored. We’ve been here several times before and always look forward to returning.
So kind! A friend had to crash The last minute due to personal emergencies and they couldn’t have been kinder.
Also, their anniversary treatment was fantastic! 12/10
I absolutely love The Dutch restaurant any time of day! The menu is not huge, but it offers enough variety to accommodate most guests. The food is always superb. I am one who enjoys specialty cocktails and The Dutch always has unique varieties ( a bit over priced, but delicious). They also have a nice wine selection. On my most recent visit, we shared the lemon meringue pie for dessert- it’s the best lemon meringue pie I have ever tasted! Highly recommend!!
It was our date night with my husband. We like the atmosphere and the food. Especially the meat we ate was absolutely delicious
I like the Dutch. I go regularly. But, it’s overpriced. Life in the big city ...
Delicious! Perfect spot for my birthday brunch- waiter brought out a biscuit with sparklers!
