The Dunraven Inn Ratings and Reviews
My Husband and I went for a date night & we were not disappointed! Making the reservation was easy with OpenTable, we we're seated right away, our waiter (Brian) was terrific, so was the whole crew, the food was superb! We started with the Sallops, then split the New York steak with a side of spaghetti & we each got a salad. I would highly recommend this restaurant & we will most definitely be back!
Delish! Wine choices were great. Outstanding mussels/appetizer. Our two main courses were very nicely done. We splurged and had a cannoli and pancetta for dessert - and cappuccinos. We were in Estes Park for the weekend and absolutely thrilled this is where we had a special dinner.
I've been to the Dunraven Inn many times, but was somewhat disappointed this time. Everything was very "average". The waiter was not very attentive with keeping water glasses off empty, and vegatables that were supposed to come with the meals were substituted without so much as a mention. I froze at our table with the A/C blowing on me the entire time.
We're all entitled to an off day, and I'll go back and try it again because Dunraven has been so good in the past. I just won't rush back real soon.
The Dunraven Inn is wonderful. We had a large party for dinner after our wedding two years ago. This weekend we were back in Estes Park so our family of three went for dinner. The service was wonderful both time and the food is delicious . We would definitely recommend dining here to anyone that likes Italian food. There's also an extensive wine list to choose from. Do make a reservation, though. I made our reservation the day before and had no issues at all.
This is the second time I have been there in the last two years, we don't live in Estes Park. Both times were excellent. The seafood is fresh and for Colorado that is a feat! I had the bacon wrapped scallops and they were big and tasty, quality! Bryan out waiter did a good job taking care of us. Thank you!!!
My husband and I were in town for a friend's wedding and were looking for a place to have a nice dinner for the two of us. We found reviews for the Dunraven and decided to grab a reservation. We absolutely loved our dinner and our server Brian. The restaurant was full but pleasant and still fairly quiet but no uncomfortably so. We split a bottle of wine and we both had delicious steaks. I also had shrimp scampi. The food was cooked wonderfully and we greatly enjoyed our visit. We hope to return for another fantastic meal.
We always eat at The Dunraven Inn when were are in Estes Park. For the last two years our waiter has been Collin (and coincidentally he is from Dallas just like we are). He does a great job and makes our experience a really positive one. I had the scallops and they were beautifully prepared and tasty.
The Dunraven has been a favorite of ours for many years. We go at least 10 times a year and have celebrated our anniversary there for the last 15 years. The food is always wonderful, service is excellent. It can get a little noisy but that is part of the ambiance of it! You are always made to feel welcome and never feel rushed to eat and go. Highly recommend that you make reservations at least a week in advance, as they tend to be busy almost every night of the week.
We were seating very promptly with a reservation. The wait staff seemed very well trained and personable. I ordered the pesto pasta with pine nuts. Unfortunately, the pasta had been left boiling too long and the mouth-feel of the pasta was gummy and pasty. I could kick myself for not asking them to take it back to the kitchen. The house salad was satisfactory, although you could taste the rinse water in the greens.
Usually have a very good experience here. This time, a little disappointed.
Friendly but professionally disciplined staff - all the food was very above average; some was exceptional. They do it right. If you're deciding between here and Twin Owls, go here - so long as you like Italian food (but I bet their steak is better than Twin Owls also!)
We shared a mussels appetizer, very good. For entrees we had the pasta with sun dried tomatoes and added the scallops, also very good, but way too much pasta and there should have been a bit more sauce; the second entree was the veal Marsala over linguini, the veal was good but the portion was a bit skimpy, the pasta was swimming in Marsala sauce, way too much, I couldn’t eat more than a few bites.
Lovely as always. Thumbs up for Lasagna, Eggplant Parm, Scallops & Ribeye that we enjoyed at our table that night. Busy, busy, but worth the wait (yes -- do make reservations!)
Our fave server, Erica, was not available to take care of us this time, but Delilah did a great job! Well-trained wait staff.
