The Dunraven Inn
Friendly staff, amazing food, and good ambience . Sashimi is delicious along with the infamous salmon dinner.
Convenient location. Great Parking. Nice Staff. Horrible food. Fishy smell.
My husband and I come in for special dinners. He loves the filet mignon and I love the scallops and I also love the lobster tail.
Made our 19th Anniversary wonderful!! Lasagna and steak with the Brussels sprouts to start. The soups they offered are made in gouse and are excellent! Our waitress was amazing. Thanks !!
Creative menu, authentic Italian, local flair. Attentive service (thank you Brian).
Meal was just average at best. Sauce on spaghetti so peppery I couldn’t eat it.
I had to be in Estes Park for business last Friday and wanted to stay in town for dinner before driving an hour home. Since my business was at the YMCA of the Rockies, Dunraven was a great location (2 minutes away). I would recommend it if you want a nice meal away from the Y, away from the hectic atmosphere of downtown Estes and because the menu is extensive. The gluten-free options are numerous, the waitstaff are seasoned professionals and the cannoli I had for dessert was one of the best in my memory. I wasn't able to sample the wines because of the drive but I would have liked to enjoy a glass of wine with my delightful meal. The interior is quirky and fun and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Estes Park has places to eat, sure, but not alot of choices for a good dinner out. I will return.
Great food and service as usual. We come here every time we are in Estes Park.
came for a few days from Omaha Nebraska and it is a must place to have dinner when in Estes
The restaurant was very busy as usual, but was not as noisy in the area where we were sitting, which was nice. The meal was wonderful except for the salad which was a little wilted and had a little to much dressing for our taste (must learn to request dressing on the side). The waiter was a little hard to understand, but maybe I'm just getting older and hard of hearing. Overall it was a very nice evening.
Food was excellent and service was spot on. So glad we found this little gem on our vacation! Nice family dinner.
Restaurant was cute, but very hot and uncomfortable inside. The water was luke warm, bleh. We had 4 kids, they gave us 6 adult menus and didn’t come back to check on us for a long time. Finally received kids menus. I ordered the scallops. Omg they were terrible. I think is was the sauce which tasted like rancid beer with curdled butter and herbs. I even order a different wine thinking my red was causing the sour flavor, but oh no that was not it. My husband ordered the lobster and said, “eh... it’s was pretty good.” The kids liked the buttered noodles fine. And it was quite expensive but we knew that going in, but had higher expectations of the food.
Excellent service, scratch kitchen, great food, unique decor. Really great place for Estes
Another trip back to Estes Park had to include dinner at The Dunraven Inn. We have never been disappointed in any way. The service and food are always both fantastic!
We were on vacation from Charlotte, NC. We love Estes Park and have been there several times. We ate at Dunraven on our last visit about 10 years ago and really liked it. Loved our waitress....either Dalilah or Delphinia...can’t remember, but she was very nice and helpful. The atmosphere is nice and cozy but extremely loud, like most restaurants. I had the baked ziti and my husband had chicken piccata. Both were very good, though the chicken dish came with an awful lot of pasta that was really rich, but very good. We’ll definitely go back next time we’re in Estes Park.
Our first visit was a very nice experience. We were greeted and treat as if we were SPECIAL guests - such a nice feeling! Our original seating was not satisfactory and the staff was very agreeable to a different seating! We had very little delay in service and the timing of each serving was perfect! We certainly will return with more friends !! Thank you very much Delailah!!
Always terrific, superior service.
Food was great, restaurant was nice. We got there before our reservation & they gladly seated us despite how early we were.
The food was great. The only downside was having to wait almost 15 minute for our server to come to our table, and he only came over because I asked the closest server if he could ask our server to come over. He said he was our server
The wait staff treated us very well from the first moment we stepped inside. The waiter was excellent and the food was great. They even gave us a special treat for our anniversary. We always enjoy eating here.
Dinner was delicious! The trout was superb and was cooked perfectly. Our waiter Bill was excellent.
Ordered Filet Mignon special rare. It was just above raw. Rare is still cooked. Bean soup was flavorless.
Service was good. Working hard. Kitchen should do the same.
My only complaint was it was very noisy. Wish they could soundproof ceiling or something. But great great food and service.
My husband and I dined here for our first time on a Wednesday night. We had a reservation, and did not wait for our 5:30 reservation. The gluten free menu was extensive and portion sizes were large. We will go back.
Everything was delicious! We had reservations, but our table wasn’t ready and we weren’t able to eat in the main dining area. Otherwise everything was great.
This was our 4th visit, we felt the service was rushed, and we were cramped at a table, every once in a while we were bumped by staff walking by. Food was still good, for a special night it did not live up to that, for a family night Italian it was okay. Better places in town now.
Filet was tough
Delicious food, attentive service, wonderful experience!
We enjoyed the character and coziness of the restaurant as well as the good food. The downside is that some of the entrees seem a little overpriced.
This is what I’d call “utilitarian Italian,” mostly taken out of a can with indifferent preparation and piled onto a wasteful amount of pasta. “Veal Parmesan,” for instance, seemed to be a fried piece of meat with spaghetti sauce that tasted just like the tomato soup. Chicken on the pesto (equals a dollop of canned sauce on too much pasta) was grilled to utter dryness. It served the need for nutrition, but nothing more.
Celebrating my sisters birthday. The food was great and the service outstanding!
We took family and friends to the Dunraven 3 times during the month of July, the service was fine but the food is not as good as it used to be. For the past 29 years our family always makes sure we eat their at least once during our visit. This summer they had a hard time getting the steaks correct and my son's strip steak didn't have much flavor. I stopped ordering steaks since the quality really wasn't worth the price.
All the personnel have always been very nice, it is just hard to have a conversation because it is so loud, maybe they could put something on the walls to cut down on the noise.
Food was fine, restaurant was packed and noisy. Service was great. Serviceable, rather expensive, meal.
Our family of 6 wanted to book a memorable locale for our first night of our 3-state reunion. The energy is vibrant, but not the best venue for serious conversation. Our waitperson, Jason, was attentive, informative, and helpful---particularly with our 2 yr.old. The menu was interesting and we all enjoyed the tastiness. BUT my husband was up in the night with serious indigestion! A sad aftermath to an otherwise enjoyable meal.
Good food. Neat place with solid service. Has a big reputation but there are better places in Eates Park.
First time here after many years of visiting the area. Pleasantly surprised. Good food, excellent service - will definitely come back.
Mon July 23 Birthday dinner for our grandson.
Brian was fantastic in every way. There were 7 of us and everything was great. We had fun.
A very busy place. It is a bit crowded and a bit noisy, but great service and delicious food make it worthwhile.
Reserving a table was quick and easy, we were greeted immediately and made to feel welcome, the bartenders were very nice (even in dealing with the very rude person who decided her order was certainly more important than ours) and made a delicious dirty martini. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. The kitchen ensured our allergy needs were taken into account and made special accomodations for us. They have a small wine list but some nice selections. Our food was outstanding and overall we had an incredible date night on our last day of vacation.
Fabulous fabulous fabulous. Amazing service, atmosphere and food. Thank you for a special anniversary dinner. Colin was a great waiter. Thanks again and will definitely recommend you to all our friends who visit.
