The Dunraven Inn
We ate at Dunraven for the first time and it was wonderful! Great food & service. Liked it so much we r heading back there tonight for dinner again!
A bartender at our hotel recommended the Dunraven Inn to us, and it was a great suggestion. We stayed at the Ridgeline Hotel which was also great. The food was excellent, trout is best we’ve had in a while. Large portions and excellent taste for a very affordable price. Erika, our server was exceptional, a true service professional and the owners went out of their way to make our meal special. Very highly rated.
Overall we thought the food was above average and the service was very good, considering how busy it was and the staffing level. The waiter probaby had more tables than he should have, but he worked hard and was attentive and informative.
Busy for a Tuesday night yet noise level was good allowing for conversation. We had Brussel sprouts to start (highly recommend) and trout and shrimp scampi were both delicious. Service was fast and very friendly.
World class dining at affordable prices.
I had my wedding reception at this restaurant 12 years ago. My hubby and I always stop by when we are in Estes Park. The food is delicious and the wait staff is wonderful!
The food was not at all up to par. The spaghetti had a thick and spicy sauce that was too pasty and hot. It was not enjoyable We have dined here many times and this was the absolute worst.
Been going here every time I'm in Estes Park for years. The place went downhill a little for a few years but the current management have not only brought it back up to the old standard, but exceeded it. The only real issue is that it's so popular! It's usually quite crowded and the parking can be a real challenge. But the food, service, and ambiance are wonderful.
We had a very good waitress by the name of Olga. Very attentive. The food was really good, I had chicken piccata and my friend had the lasagne. We shared a white chocolate/raspberry piece of cheesecake, that was delicious.
The noise was normal, because there is carpeting, to help deaden the noise. My one complaint is that the tables are very close together in order to get as many people as possible in there. I even had to sit in another chair at my table because a man had no idea his chair was bordering a few inches away from my lap!
The food is always delicious and the service is good. Can be noisy but it is a busy place so you expect that.
Don’t get the spaghetti, not good. The pasta tasted like it was still raw, had no flavor and the meatball was way too spicy.
My wife and I have been to The Dunraven Inn many times over the years. This was the first time it was so loud I couldn't hear myself think, nevermind talk to my wife or daughter.
Fabulous food and great options! The wait staff is excellent. Erika is the best at her profession!!
The experience at Dunraven is always superior. The food is excellent. The ambience is second to none. We always have dinner one night there whenever we visit Estes Park and RMNP. I would highly recommend reservations as they are always busy.
Love love love the food and the location! Wonderful waitress, Ericka. Will keep coming back!
Great food, Excellent service. A bit noisy but that’s to be expected in Estes Park in the summer.
We love this restaurant! The only reason I gave 4 stars in some categories was that the fish special that we ordered was undercooked. The service was great and the final dinner product was very good!
Loved the deep fried brussels sprouts petals for our appetizer!
We love this place. The food is very good and you can split meals (it's plenty for most people) and it makes it very affordable. It's fun to guess the number of dollar bills on the walls (they are always adding to it) and the service is outstanding. We live on the front range and try to go up a couple of times a year.
It’s a Rocky Mountain tradition. I go every time I’m in the area.
The Dunraven in is a precious place. My husband and I, love to spend an afternoon driving through the majestic Rocky Mountains and then slip into the Dunraven's private, hideaway restaurant to celebrate our special occasions. Their food is superb, the owner and staff are very most accomodating and we absolutely love this hidden jewel restaurant.
The spaghetti and sausage entree was very good. Excellent sauce, really good. Not sure if the sausages (two of them) were Italian sausage or not but all tasted very good and I was able to take some home. Beer selection was very good.
Calamari was a big disappointment. It was frozen premade and very bland. Only two of the 5 entrees were really good. Everything else was just so so. We used to love this place. Not anymore. Food has gone downhill. Not worth the price anymore
Our go-to place and my only place to get delicious lobster! Had a wonderful evening from start to finish, greeted and seated promptly, wonderful service and food/drink. Thank you for a special evening!
We have been going to Dunraven for many years. Food & service excellent. Love Erica!!
We do miss Tuna on menu
Overpriced food and drinks for what they served. Veal was mushy, and very small portion of Ahi Tuna-the special. But then again, it’s Estes Park. Food was ok, service was good. Noisy, sounds like everyone trying to talk over everyone else. The staff did remember our anniversary and brought us a complimentary large serving of spumoni! Nice!
We enjoyed the Dunraven so much that we ate here two nights in a row—food and service were great. We liked that we were able to make reservations online and avoided a long wait time. Parking is a little tricky. There aren’t many spaces. Our car was hit while parked, but we’re not sure it was at the Dubraven. We noticed it the next morning.
Six adults ordered six different entrees, all were very satisfying. Large portions enabled an encore with leftovers the next day, also scrumptious. We go to the Dunraven a few times each year. It's consistently very good. Great, varied menu that doesn't tire.
Great restaurant. The people there are nice and the food is great. Enjoy.
The service was excellent, our meal was very good. It's pretty much crowded and loud though.
This was both my husband's and my first dinner at the Dunravin. We both absolutely loved it! The food was delicious, the staff friendly and very efficient. We celebrated our first year anniversary and will definitely return!
Love this place. Amazing dinner!
We love this place. Good food, good service and nice for a small group!
The restaurant’s ambience was warm, cozy and fun. The food was exceptionally delicious.
Eggplant was like thick rubber. Inedible. Horrible. Bread has no taste. Salad was limp old romaine thrown in a bowl with 2 cherry tomatoes. No ambience. Noisy. Looked very dirty inside.
My wife enjoyed her good tasting Lasagna and I thoroughly enjoyed the Eggplant Parmigiana when we went out for an Anniversary dinner the other evening. It was not overly breaded uniform round slices, obviously from a package, that you find in many other restaurants serving Italian food.
Yes, as some other reviews have mentioned, the tables are a bit close together, but not overly so. There is no attempt at architectural noise reduction such as acoustic ceiling tiles, so it's just a bit noisier than we would have preferred, but not so noisy that it interfered with our conversation.
The dining room was well staffed and our service was prompt and attentive. The Dunraven was packed Thursday evening, so I would certainly recommend making a reservation during popular seating times.
We're glad we decided to try the Dunraven, and would definitely eat there again.
The Inn was extremely convenient to our cabin so we could walk. The food was very good but not inexpensive. Medium priced, especially the pastas.
This restaurant was perfect for us to celebrate our anniversary!
This has to be the best restaurant in Estes Park...……………………………..Food is always great
Our table was ready for us when we arrived. It was set nicely and created a great feeling that dinner would be good and it was. When I needed to change a few things due to my special diet, everything was handled cheerfully. The lady who waited on us was cheerful and available, but not overly attentive. It was a very pleasant evening.
