Nicole our server was friendly and efficient. Food delish, esp Caesar salad and “not quite chicken cordon blue”! Great beverage selections.
Excellent as always!
I've never had a bad meal at the Duck. This time I had the filet. It was perfectly cooked.
Was real good better in the high top room. Not as noisy.
Came for the band... they were great —- food continues to disappoint here, un/under seasoned, stale bread on a burger — beers were slightly overpriced but appreciated the selection
Always a favorite stop when traveling through Sturbridge - never disappoints!
Hats off to the chef who’s not afraid to experiment with spicy loved the tuna!
Restaurant was busy, service was pleasant and attentive. Live entertainment rounded out the evening with great food.
All four of us had dishes that were too salty or spicy. The venue is too small for the entertainment that was provided. We were not able to have a conversation without shouting at each other. The one good thing my filet was perfectly done very tender. The wait staff was friendly.
We waited for over 20 mins past our reservations time. The food was great but service was slow.
The Duck has been a great meeting place for the Ma and Ct family members. As usual the food was great and the accommodated the 7 of us even though half was late in arriving on a rainy Sunday.
Thanks again for your graciousness.
Great atmosphere...felt like in a rustic lodge. Live music was great! Comfy bar seating! Lots of options on menu. Boullibaisse was ok but loaded with seafood. My son had the short ribs and daughter had the chicken cordon bleu. Both delicious! Patrick was a excellent server!
Bartender was great, attentive service, cozy for afternoon drinks and dinner. Vegetarian option would be a great addition along with a spring cleaning to freshen the interior.
Great food. Friday night always has live acoustic music. Best spot in sturbridge as far as ambiance, food, and probably the most comfortable bar ive ever sat at
We sometimes meet Boston friends here for lunch (half way between homes) and the Duck is consistently good. Lunch is quiet, food good, and service excellent. I recommend this place to many friends.
Overall everything was fantastic. I believe they were short on workers this evening.
Great meal. Really enjoyed the dessert sampler. Much more/better than expected.
I ordered the chicken cordon blue. I think it had been prepared ahead and heated up. It was hard in places and the potatoes had a hard film over the top. My husband spent $34 on the RibEye special and it was "okay". Too bad because I enjoyed the ambiance.
Went here for Valentine's day. It was the first time we had been here. The atmosphere was very nice. Exposed beams, string lights, rustic. Since it was Valentine's, it was pretty packed, but not noisy or over crowded. They had some nice dinner and cocktail specials. The waitress was attentive, even though they were very busy. They also had live music, a guitar/singing duo who were very good. I had the short ribs, which was delicious. My husband has the steak special, with a lobster sauce which was also excellent. The only thing that wasn't up to par was the dessert I ordered . White chocolate mousse. It was inedible. Like a paste of granulated sugar. I sent it back and they took it off the bill. All in all, it was a very nice experience and we would visit this restaurant again.
We had a Group of 6. Shared Pretzel knots, Duck Confit Poutine. Delicious. Others had the Chicken Cordon Bleue,French Onion soup, delicious but less salt next time. Fish and Chips, Fried Chicken Sandwich, Fish Tacos, all excellent, Butternut Squash Raviolis were ok.
The deserts, oh yeah. Excellent we had everything but the brûlée.
Is hard to find the door, but there are multiple restaurants under one roof. Having an opentable reservation helped and we were seated immediately. The beer selection was great. We all had cocktails that were done right, and the server was friendly and attentive.
Our group had the duck confit poutin... Which was wonderful. The fried wonton and Mac & cheese, both good.
A couple of us ordered beers that came reasonably fast.
Meals were the "not your average chicken cordon Bleu", a new York strip, and a filet. All were tasty... I'll note the steaks were a one level undercooked from what was ordered. My medium rare filet was really rare and my friends NY strip was medium rare instead of medium. Neither of us sent them back and still enjoyed them.
Dessert was excellent... We had the Kentucky bourbon pie, the only way to improve it would be to warm it up a little.
We'll definitely come here again.
We went for a birthday lunch. The 5 of us shared a number of dishes. Everything was delicious. The service was great. The atmosphere was perfect for a festive, cozy get-together, and we could hear each other talk.
The noise level made it almost impossible to carry on a conversation.
Onion soup was not good, tasted like it had vinegar in it.
The main course was very good.
I do not remember the servers name but she was excellent.
Great experience!! Great music!!
The food was excellent, I had the hazelnut encrusted salmon. It was cooked to perfection. The waitress was very good. And I the ambiance was so warm And comfortable. I highly recommend the Duck. The dress was casual or dressy of you are there for a special occasion.
Me and my wife have eaten here about a dozen times together and every time the food has been perfect with great service and a good beer selection. We took our family here for lunch before an event. One chicken cordonblue was under cooked. We brought it to our servers attention, she removed it from the bill and the person was served a replacement dish. asap. Mistakes happen and I think a good measure of a resturaunt is how they handle a small mistake. We will still be back for the great food and beer, and I would still recommend The Duck, and all of table 3 restaurants.
My first time at The Duck restaurant and it won't be my last! We went for lunch on Saturday and enjoyed our meals very much! I was also impressed, not only with the menu selections, but also with the several special selections that were offered. The food was delicious and the atmosphere and service were wonderful. Everyone, including the manager, were very friendly and they made every effort to make you feel welcomed! We will be back!
Our favorite rstaurant, we go a few times a year when we are visiting the area. Fabulous food!! Fabulous service!! Our recent visit was no exception and we enjoyed our delicious meals as always!
We were not crazy about the recent renovations, though. The new bench seating along two walls might have increased seating capacity some, but tables are oriented differently now so those lack the 'privacy ' they used to afford, and conversations are louder. We also thought the original railing on one side added to the rustic charm of the space.
We are looking firward to another dinner there in March!
This has become a favorite. Great service and awesome food. Never disappointed. They also have entertainment on various nights which is enjoyable. We love their new beer selections and sampler. Great place!
We like to come here on a weeknight because it is usually quiet and not crowded. The food is always good and the service excellent.
As always a fantastic meal. Surprised that they no longer offer prime rib even though it was still listed on the menu. Our server worked with us to find alternatives and hit a home run for all four of us. Her knowledge of the menu and how dishes are designed helped her in describing so we could decide.
Excellent, attentive service. Excellent food - portions a bit large. Good gluten free selection. We had reservations for 6:00 pm. Just as we were leaving a bit after 7, the band was setting up in the bar area. Most likely music would change the atmosphere somewhat. However, we appreciated the pre-music quiet. Excellent choice for pre-theater [Stageloft Theater is just blocks away] dinner.
I love the atmosphere here, with the exposed wooden beams decorated with strings of white lights. The live music is a nice touch too--not too loud, allowing you to hear each other talking. And the food NEVER disappoints. We love it here!
Brought friends for a late night New Years Eve desert etc. it was great. Staff, food everything. Thank you
We are always satisfied with our dining experience at The Duck. Great place to bring in the new year.
great place to dine - enjoy it with the family - great place for us to connect yearly.
Staff was very friendly, service was prompt, good beer list, never felt rushed.
Great service and live music!
