It was a belated Mother’s Day outing. We had a fabulous time!
This was our FIRST TIME..We will be back it was excellent....Thank you for a wonderful experience.
First time I had an Afterrn Tea, so pricey considering it's not that good , the food, the tea cups utensils, the Drawing Room, it did not live up to my pectations Maybe it will nice if in Fairmont Hotel or Shangri-La Hotel.
The food was delicious and the teas were very good
Afternoon tea is beautiful and delicious! Perfect experience for birthdays or a ladies afternoon!
Our celebration of the Royal wedding on May 19th was especially fun having HIGH TEA at the Prince of Wales. Everything was perfect and will be greatly remembered. Sincerely Mary T
Lovely experience for traditional afternoon tea. Highly recommend!!
My co-workers and I wanted to get together after work and decided to go for some tea. It was a lovely and relaxing experience!
Very nice!! Beautiful atmosphere, doesn't make you feel rushed. Plenty of food, we had to bring some home!! Tea was absolutely delicious. Would definitely come back!!!
Loved the experience. Our server wasn’t very personable and felt like we were bothering her when we asked how the menu worked. It was our first time here and we had a couple of reasonable questions. We were one of the first to be seated and watched multiple groups receive their tea and sandwiches much before we did. It was about 45 minutes before our tea was served. But like I said it appeared we were the only group of 3 that had to wait so long.
We loved the setting and the tea and sandwiches were great. It’s just too bad that we had to wait for so long and rush once the food arrived since we had somewhere else to be.
Would recommend and would definitely go back
High tea at The Drawing Room has become a tradition for my family to celebrate Mother’s Day, and my 6 year old and 9 year old anticipate it all year. It is always a wonderful experience. Will be back next year!
Prince of Wales Afternoon Tea is perfect for special occasions or a treat anytime. You will not be disapointed.
Beautiful! We had afternoon tea for Mother’s Day! Everything was great! I will definitely be back!
I took the mothers here for Mothers Day High Tea and it was exactly what I wanted! We drove down from Burlington for this and it was definitely worth the drive. The prices are a little bit high, but for a special occasion I feel it was worth it. The service was also amazing! Our server checked in on us at perfect times and gave us just enough attention to make us feel special, but not too much for us to feel annoyed. There is a huge selection of tea, the finger sandwiches and pastries are delicious, and the cheese platter was the perfect size! We left feeling very full and very posh. Thank you for a great time!
I was really looking forward to Afternoon Tea as it is one of my favourite things to do in Niagara-on-the-Lake! This was my 4th or 5th time and this was really special because it was for Mother’s Day and my stepdaughters were able to join us. The tea was amazing but the food was dreadful! I didn’t realize how disappointed I was until I said to my husband a few minutes after we left that I was pretty upset about the food. We spent over $200 and the only thing I enjoyed was my tea. Unfortunately I think this will be my last time at The Drawing Room.
My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea for Mother's Day. I think both of us LOVED the scones with the jam and Devonshire cream the most. I would suggest that maybe providing a few more scones to the serving and a few less tea sandwiches. The cucumber sandwiches were lovely. The ham and turkey sandwiches were alright but not very appealing to us. However, the pastries were delectable! I really think I could have eaten a whole tray of those scones with the cream...LOL
All in all my mother and I had a lovely time. The staff on hand were amazing. Excellent service!
The food was good however it would have been nice to have scone options as my mother and I both don’t like raisins. And the vegetarian options were good but it would have been nice to have a couple choices in sandwiches.
We’ve had high tea many times in the Drawing Room. The tea, ambience and food was perfection as always. The hostess was very generous and courteous! Unfortunately, The servers service was not at the standard that we have normally experienced at the Prince of Wales.
I love the prince of Wales hotel and the overall feel of the hotel tat creates an amazing atmosphere. However, I had reservations for 2 : 30 for afternoon tea. We arrived on time, we were told to wait because they were changing over tables perfectly fine so we stepped to the side as not to be on the way. However we then waited for over 20 minutes we were still not seated and 2 other groups that arrived after us were seated before us. It wasn’t until we actually had to say something 2 more times before we were seated. No apologies from the front staff only our waited said sorry after he came to serve the table. For an establishment such as the prince of Wales I do expect better service and friendliness especially on Mother’s day weekend for a special occasion. I have stayed numerous times and held my wedding at the pillar and the post and to me this was not customer service or creating a nice welcoming atmosphere.
My mom and I came for the evening tea for mother’s day and thought everything was perfect. We cannot wait to come back and will be bringing my sisters the next time. Thank you for such a nice relaxing evening.
Had a wonderful pre mother's day tea. Beautiful day, beautiful company and beautiful spot for a cup or two of tea.
We went for tea to celebrate my daughter's wedding. It was a really nice and relaxing afternoon. We never felt rushed at all and we stayed for about 2 1/2 hours. The food and the tea were very good. Two of our guests are vegan and the food provided for them was excellent - especially the brownies! My only note is that we would have preferred to sit at a table as opposed to a couch and chairs with a coffee table. It was nice for relaxing but uncomfortable for eating and putting tea on the table. Overall it was a fun afternoon.
High tea was great especially the Scone!! Sandwiches were just so so! Disappointed that there was not macrons!!
Overall great service!! $36 plus tax per person!!
We were greeted right away. The server was very kind and did an excellent job explaining the options and what each food was. It was very quite and very spacious. Would return and recommend.
I brought my 11 year old daughter for her first afternoon tea experience and it was everything we thought it would be! It was an afternoon we will always remember!
My husband and I visited to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We were seated quickly and the staff were very, very friendly and polite. They even wrote 'Happy Anniversary' on our plate! The tea selection was great and everything tasted wonderful. I recommend the Himalayan Vintage tea. The bread used for the mini sandwiches felt lacking in quality but everything else was great!
Beautiful and classic
Great way to connect with family mid afternoon after sight seeing and shopping in beautiful niagara on the lake
I have always wanted to have High Tea at the Prince of Wales, and finally made it there it surpassed my expectations!
a BIG Disappointment! Went there for put anniversary, with great expectations.
HARDLY something to be called HIGH tea. More apt is POOR tea. The sandwiches were inspired, with the bread dry. The pastries were tasteless!. the cookies tasted like cardboard!,
The tea was weak and watery. In spite of requesting HOT milk, the milk was just barely warm
The only saving grace was the scpones. Could be improved with real strawberry jam!
Service was good, as was the ambiance and the tea service (meaning the crockery
Overall a very big disappointment; and a blot on the name of Prince of Wales. A let down and POOR value
Not only does the experience will we dissuade us from another visit but we will discourage all NOT to visit
Havehad MUCH better high tea at not such a highly touted place
Had tea there many times, this was the first time the tea was not hot and bread was a little dry, service was great as always! We will go again, everywhere has off days
The afternoon tea is never a disappointment.
It is a special treat to spend a few hours at the Prince of Wales. While there, I made reservations for my next visit!
Beautiful afternoon, excellent service , very enjoyable experience!!
Considering the weather was terrible, the staff was very upbeat and friendly. Exceptionally good service.
High tea was wonderful , completely loved the Drawing room ! The service , I think her name was Shannon, was excellent ! It was my Birthday , and everything was perfect ! Thank you !
We always enjoy high tea at The Prince of Wales when we visit Niagara on the Lake, which is quite often. It really is so lovely sipping tea and enjoying the little sandwiches and cookies. The servers are very professional and always very attentive and polite. Looking forward to our next visit.
The food is so delicious and the service is wonderful!
I went for afternoon tea with two of my friends and we all had a wonderful time! The tea and snacks were delicious! The server was wonderful! And the hotel is absolutely gorgeous!
Afternoon tea is one of my favourite experiences. The service at Prince of Wales is second to none. The cozy yet spacious dining room is full of detail and tastefully decorated with seasonal flowers. I treated my sister and four-year-old niece and we all enjoyed our time. The Little Prince/Princess menu is perfect for children 12 and under. My sister and I enjoyed Afternoon Tea plus a cheese plate and Kir Royal.
Our afternoon tea was amazing, our server was excellent and we were able to take our time and enjoy ourselves... we can’t wait to come back
This was our first time for Tea at The Prince of Wales. It was the highlight of our visit to NOTL. We will definitely do it again. Our server, Brooke, was lovely, very professional and helpful. She made it very special.
