The Drake & Firkin
The best British pubs are stylish and sophisticated, but without pretention - a truly genuine experience with a fresh, modern twist. From the décor to the pub fare, the Firkin pubs are reminiscent of Britannia, with an innovative flair that is sure to quench your thirst for excitement and entertainment.
This restaurant has terrible sanitation and COVID safety protocols
People not wearing masks and people in and out the exit
Unused dishes and cutlery from one table given to another table
I enjoyed this restaurant before COVID but will not return now
Not all that good
Fish was okay
A nice place to have lunch. A bit loud but it's a roadhouse, so.
Great atmosphere and excellent service. Even busy, the service was efficient and friendly. Had a great team Christmas lunch
Excellent service and food. Will definitely be returning next year
The only negative to our dining expereince was that they took my reservation on Open Table and then when we showed up they told us they didn't take reservations (???). They did sit us and the food was good, standard pub fare but tasty and plenty of it. Noise level was relatively high but to be expected in a pub environment
Good food and great atmosphere!
Quiet Sunday lunch with family. Food was good but typical of this category of venue, draft beer selection was good, service was very good - attentive and pleasant.
I would only recommend for the food. The waitress was a little rude. Not once did I see a smile. If I was talking to my lunchmate, she would just interrupt and start talking to the both of us and neither one of us would hear the first half of the conversation.
Julie was excellent and her suggestions allowed us to have a great meal
Hidden Gem. 🤫
Great outdoor patio!!
I booked the D&F for a business lunch meeting for 8 people. The food did take longer than expected to arrive and my colleague's food arrived much later than the rest. The server was very good - on top of drink orders and started us off with a complimentary plate of sweet potato fries (delicious). The server told us that they would be covering the entire bill because of the delay with the last meal. This blew us all away - you don't see restaurants nowadays owning up to mistakes and making things right with their guests. I/we will certainly be back.
I like this place well enough but I ordered the Poke bowl. it was a giant bunch of arugula with tiny bits of tuna and the quinoa noted was about a tablespoon. I though cool poke bowl with quinoa instead of sushi rice - but it was a little bit of tuna on arugula. That was disappointing.
Very good service and nice an quick if you need it to be!
My first experience with the Drake & Firkin was on the winning Raptor game 6. The atmosphere was exciting and everyone was in a good mood. We left before the end of the game. It was obviously a little louder than usual.
Went for Sunday brunch. Excellent selection of items on the brunch menu but also on the regular menu and a promotional menu. So much to choose from that was calling my name. Eggs Benedict were done just right. The Totcho Skillet went perfectly with the flights of beer were ordered. We let our server surprise us with what beers came with the flights which is always fine by us. Server was wonderful. Food and drinks came out fast. Really loved the selection of music that was being played. I plan on going back for Father's Day.
Great food and atmosphere
Always a great choice. We order lunch catering to our office from this location too.
Service was amazing - would go back -not normally a fan of pub food so went with greek chicken salad for lunch - so can't really comment on food so much but drinks were great and so was the service
Horrible food and the place was too dead for a Saturday night.
Not outstanding but for a place serving bar food. It's definitely one of the better ones.
We had a great meal. Good service. A great location for brunch. Pro Tip: Sunday Brunch is quiet. Which is nice.
It was our first visit there and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We will definitely be back AND recommend to friends!
Staff makes the restaurant, besides the Guinness...
Great food, great service. Not super pricey, and portions are big.
Ordered the fish and chips. Chips came Soggy, which aren't at all what they should be! Wife had steak, which was over-seasoned and too salty. Only good thing was the beer, which tasted fresh.
Service & ambiance were decent.
This was our annual Christmas lunch. We all enjoyed our food choices very much. The atmosphere was good, the service fast and super friendly. We would definitely eat here again.
If you have anything to do that day, I don't suggest going here. The food is good but the service is terrible.
Great service, great food, nice sitting outdoors on the patio. What more could you ask for.
Never thought much of Pub food until I came here. Atmosphere was relax with conversations noticed but not loud. Timing of food coming out was appropriate and most noticeable was food was better than what I remember of your common "Pub food". Would definitely recommend and go back.
Went for St Patrick’s day and even though busy staff was great and attentive The nachos are very yummy as well as wings although wings were a bit pricey. Good beer selection. Upscale bar food. Would return for sure.
I booked ahead so we won’t have to wait long and expecting to get a decent seat Atleast. We had to wait awhile before someone was able to seat us. The table reserved for us was by the patio door which seemed isolated good thing there was another reserved better table in the middle so we sat there instead. Our attendant was courteous however the area she’s attending was quite busy so menu’s came in later. Drinks were fast though they don’t offer Moscow Mule; Bang Bang was the alternate didn’t like the taste; their take on Mojito was not good either. Food was excellent ordered fish tacos and butter chicken flatbread. Service was just fine, it’s just that our server seemed so keen on cleaning up after our plates asked us twice if we’re still finishing off our apple crumble dessert and the dessert was only half way through. The second time she asked I just sort of said yes. I have been going to Firkin at the Harbour, but I love Drake’s food better; though the cocktails at the Harbour is way better than that of Drake’s
Great service. The table reservation that I had made was perfect...I got exactly what I wanted. Thanks.
Great food. Definitely going back. The service was amazing. The server was very attentive. Food was hot and freshly made
Had our "Old Childhood Friends" Christmas Gathering at the Drake. Everyone had a GREAT Time. Great food, atmosphere, seating,.... and the Band was excepetional as usual. Kudos to Steve for ensuring we all got to sit together in our requested seating area. Waitress was very hospitable/friendly. Looking forward to returning again.
The waitress was excellent. I was not impressed with my lunch (beef sandwich).
The food and service were both good. However, it was a little noisy on a Thursday night for a business meal. It's more appropriate for an after-work casual meet up place.
The service was great, the order received was correct - no issues and everyone was happy. We did not feel rushed although the restaurant was busy and overall had a really enjoyable lunch.
Totally average. Fast service for lunch was a plus. My entree (special chicken dish) was good. Side potatoes were undercooked.
