Nice restaurant. We went for Sunday brunch. The food was delicious. For 30.00 you choose 2 items. I started with the roasted octopus, very yummy. Then I had the eggs Benedict... very good. They toasted the French bread on the bottom, so it wasnt soggy!
The bloody Mary’s were delicious too! Nice view of the boats floating by!
This was the second time my husband and I dined at The Dock. It has a lovely ambiance, the brother and sister who manage the restaurant are a pleasure to interact with and clearly love what they do. We started with their octopus appetizer and finished with their signature desert. The vanilla ice cream is made in-house and is fabulous!
Unless you are a fairly large group of obvious locals, this may not be the ticket for a solid pleasant meal experience. I went alone (I’m here on business) and it took them 20 minutes to seat me. Never did a manager see how I was, the waitress ignored an empty water glass twice, and service was spotty.
Date night with lots of time? Sure if they seat you. Pricey but not warm or inviting. Pretty major disappointment when I wanted. Great meal after hard work
It is a beautiful restaurant on the water in Newport Beach. It was $30 for a two course brunch which is pricey but worth it as it was a lovely brunch. I had the eggs Benedict with prosciutto which was outstanding. And the ceviche was wonderful. I will try to go there often.
A Favorite Place to Relax and Dine. This is a little gem. It's very small, maybe 24 tables? It's open to the Bay so it's cool and while it doesn't have an expansive view of the Bay it has that marine environment that lets you know you are on the water and it is peaceful. Food is always good, our personal favorite is their lamb, but they always have specials that peek your curiosity and appetite. An impressive wine list but a bit pricey. We like to take our own wine but be prepared for a $40 corkage fee. Honestly, we marvel that they manage to produce such a perfectly prepared meal in such a tiny kitchen. This is a Newport Favorite.
Beautiful location on the Bay. Early reservation made parking easy. Great breezy table near the front window. Music was tasteful and the perfect volume. The food was beautifully prepared, and delicious. This venue can compete with the best restaurants in the county. Our server was delightful and very capable. We will be back!
What a wonderful hidden gem! Everything was perfect. We both had the Rack of Lamb along with a couple of appetizers, wine, and beer. Do note - they do not have a full bar. And the corkage fee is steep - $40/bottle.

We enjoyed brunch here a few weeks ago on Sunday and it was amazing. The view, the food and the service were all top notch! They have a terrific wine list and Danielle (who was an amazing server) was great to give recommendations and suggestions on wine pairings with our meal. The smoked salmon was perfect and my shrimp risotto was spectacular. My husband had the scallop special - I am definitely coming back to have the scallops myself. They were perfect. It really was a perfect afternoon. Make sure to request a table next to the window/open patio wall - the views are stunning. We will be back soon!
Absolutely one of the best and finest restaurants in Orange County and on the canal. Casual but elegant. The food was amazing and our waitress was friendly, accommodating and awesome! It was a marvelous experience shared with friends.
No rushing through your different plates, relaxed and comfy. Parking is difficult so be prepared.
Our meal was excellent. The little chefs gift was a bruschetta with goat cheese and fig vinegar. We wanted a whole plate. The meal was beautifully presented and tasty. 4 of us had halibut with fresh pea risotto which was outstanding. One had the rack of lamb that looked delicious. The service was perfect. Great wine menu and I judge all meals by the ice tea and was great!
This was our first time to The Dock. It's a cozy little restaurant open to the harbor. The service was wonderful as was the food. I had the day's special, John Dory and my husband had the filet. The lemon risotto that came with my dish was delicious and the filet was cooked perfectly. We also shared a salad and the foie gras starter which was also very good. The finale was the chocolate dessert with a scoop of their homemade vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was to die for.
This intimate little gem is always a beautiful, relaxing, delicious experience that leaves one feeling spoiled and happy. The food is decadent, and the service is great. It's a little pricey, but the quality of the chef's creations are fantastic and the ambiance Is lovely.
The owner takes pride in the restaurant as she should. Ambiance and waterfront view are unmatched. Food is inventive and savory. Prix Fixe brunch was reasonable. Hit a busy time so service was a bit relaxed but was made up for with a partial mimosa refill and a split desert. Parking during peak beach period is a problem but here again the owner went above and beyond by offering a parking space at her nearby property. We will surely be back for dinner soon.
We've passed The Dock many times in our boat and finally made a reservation. My wife and I love our Friday night date night and it's important to us that we spend it at a restaurant that hits the mark on all levels. The Dock is one of those places with a star next to it! We sat right next to the large window openings along the water on a perfect end of the day in Newport Beach. The weather was perfect and the ambiance, service, and food were all fabulous! We shared the Butter Poached Lobster tail and a Hearts of Romaine salad for our first course, with my wife having the Alaskan Halibut and I the Filet for our second course. All were perfection on a plate that danced on your tongue! Alcohol is strictly beer and wine but the list is extensive with several notable labels. The atmosphere was the perfect upscale date atmosphere with 100% of the patrons being just that. Two people enjoying each other over amazing dishes!
Very Expensive!! Delicious food. Waitress was delightful and saved our experience there. After confirming Duffy dockage they tried to cancel it but ended up letting us dock there. Our table was not on the waters because they made no effort to make that happen. Cockage was $40.00 and could bring only one bottle. Their wines were outrageously priced.
