Depends. A bit expensive for the venue and the show. People at the back (standing up) were very loud and it was very difficult to appreciate and enjoy the show. These people wanted, all night long to get a sitted spot so they were always coming near, it was crowdy and not confortable. When people started to dance, we couldn’t see the stage and there where no difference between people who paid a 45USD cover charge and the others.
One of the most intimate and exceptional NYC experiences. A rare mix of small size, perfectly managed attendance, fantastic entertainment and amazing other worldly ambiance.
We had been really looking forward to this and were very disappointed.
The music was fab - don’t get me wrong and the staff were polite.
However for $160 for 3 drinks total, small plate of cheese / hams and a small bowl of mac n cheese we would have expected a very small request to have been made.
We were placed on the front row, directly under the air conditioning that was freezing and blowing at 40mph! The outside tables were outside the blast radius and guests seemed happy. Noticed 2 tables vacant for over 30 mins and asked 3 times to be re located as we had our scarf and coats on. To get the response “sorry, it’s too much work to switch tabs from one table to another” I. The end, we had to just walk out after an hour - totally ruined the night. Make sure you request a table away from air conditioning
This is a great place for music lovers but especially Jazz. It is expensive although we shared the meat and cheese platter which was great. Cocktails and wine are good but beware as lighting is very low level and some “bottles” are half bottles and we made that mistake. Music, service and ambience was excellent so as long as you drink less then us you will be fine. I would return if in New York again
Incredible vibe. Went there for my 2nd anniversary. Girlfriend loved it. I loved it. Awesome time with a great band. It's a little bit $$$, but well worth it. They serve dinner late night along with the live music. Would totally recommend it.
We arrived late and were seated immediately
The musicians were outstanding (Fowler and guests), the welcome and main waitrice really nice (no need to rush people to leave, we know we need to leave by 10.15 for the next show) - the crudite the worst I've had in my life (and we forgive the water waiter guy who looked very hung-over). Don't a few puny frozen vegetables for 14USD. At least leave them edible. Thanks to the music we still had a good experience,
Always a great time. The space is dark, sexy and just a really chill and sophisticated ambiance . Great spots for dates with a significant other or friends
This is first and foremost a jazz club—the Anderson Brothers gave a terrific show. For a jazz club the food was fine. As a restaurant the food is average and overpriced. But for an evening of music it’s a great package.
Great atmosphere and awesome band last Saturday night. The cocktails and food were good as well. Service was a bit slow but not too bad. I would recommend for a date or when parents are in town.
NOT a place to go to hear music. Ambiance is slick and retro but the patrons are absolutely NOT there to listen to the music mostly to listen to themselves talk. Food is "OK" but not great. Would not go back. I'll stick to Birdland or Village Vanguard for good jazz.
Blues Music was great!!!
I just wish you gave us a better table with the view of the concert, there were a lot of tables available but we got one that did not look at the concert.
Loved the band, the space is really good and the drinks are good. We had a great time!
very cool place! the band was great! food and drinks were good, just a bit pricy on top of a cover...well..it is NYC....enjoy!!
Excellent musicians played some upbeat jazz whilst we enjoyed great cocktails and ok food. Wouldn’t necessarily go back for the food but would for the setting and the music.
Great space to enjoy excellent jazz music. Good wine list. Menu offered good selections of small plates to share while listening to the music.
This place is a hidden gem! Great atmosphere. Drinks are impeccable but a bit overpriced. The live music compensates for the pricey drinks. It’s always a great time here!! I highly recommend this place!
An enchanting and enthralling experience made really special by a uniquely crafted performance delivered in a truly mezmorising and creative fashion. One can only imagine where the artistic inspiration came from. A well polished night...
I went to Django over 10 times at this point and I love the bands that are performing there. But watching Nicole Scherzinger live was one of the best experiences of my NYC life. Thank you Django for this awesome night. The ticket price was very low for such awesome performer. I guess it’s generosity of both Django and Nicole.
Nicole Scherzinger Live. Incredible.
Love the style of the place good music staff is all great!!
A cosmic and mind boggling set up perfectly suited for the highest global expectations...
Disorganised
Band was awful
Band had no sound check and sound was bad
I took my wife for a jazz date night after dinner in the area. The service is amazing. The atmosphere grand. And more importantly, the music was insane! Highly recommend!
One of the best experiences! Absolutely amazing! Our waitress was incredible and made our night. Thank you!
I find the requirement to order at least two items from the many on top of the entrance fee a bit annoying
Music and atmosphere as you are somewhere back about 50 years in a time, delicious drinks and prices accordingly.
Great shabby-chic venue that transports you back in time. Lively, energetic vibe with world class jazz musicians. A tremendous little night spot.
Very cool environment, nice acoustics and excellent service. Roxy is a very cool hotel, maybe a little Disney-meets-Jazzish but that’s what NYC is now.
Food was very good and felt the $20 cover was well worth it as the jazz was excellent. Music makers gotta eat!
Love everything about this place! Great food, amazing performance! Highly recommend
Glad to hear you had a good time! We look forward to welcoming you back.
Great music but too much loud audience chatter to be able to hear it and fully appreciate it....seemed very disrespectful to the musicians and the people who had paid to see the band play jazz. Food was mediocre for the price.
Excellent
One thing though they kept taking away are unfinished alcoholic beverages ....they should ask before they snatch it off of the table!
Great spot and people aside from that! Kim the lady at the door was very nice and friendly :)
This is my second time at The Django, and it was even more spectacular than the first time around (if that's even possible). Our waitress, Tre (sp?) was so sweet and attentive. We even made a point to let the manager know after. The quartet playing the 9:00 p.m. show was amazing as well. I cannot wait to head back soon. It's just such a special place!
We are so pleased you enjoyed your visit and thank you for your patronage and supporting of the arts! Please email us a reservation before your next visit, we'd love to thank you in person! Kindly, The Django
Good music, nice place, unfortunately our table was behind the piano
Gorgeous spot in a beautiful hotel. Everything about the experience was amazing, the food, drinks, waitstaff, and live music. Highly recommended.
Fantastic service and the Music was just amazing. The good was okay and it was quite chilly, so would recommend to bring a coat. The atmosphere made the night for sure and would definitely recommend!!!!
I NEVER write reviews, but felt compelled to here. I stumbled on Django's in the summer and had a blast. I then planned a 76th bday celebration for my mom who loves to Latin dance. Reserved it 6 weeks in advance and spoke to two people about it to make sure all was set. When I arrived, the manager told me there was a miscommunication and that I needed to sign a contract for 9 people and pay 75.00 minimum per head. I had been previously told this was not the case and shared that with him. The manager insisted that I was wrong and seemed intent on giving us a hard time. if it was not my mothers birthday, I would have turned around and left. Ultimately, we were let in and then had even worse treatment from the waiter. The music and drinks were great, but I will definitely think twice about going back. The place needs a serious attitude adjustment.
Great music and cocktails. I was charged a no-show fee of $20 after my visit but the staff were helpful in reversing the charge. Will go visit again.
The ambience and atmosphere are delightful. But when I received my steak it was very cold, not that I expected stellar food from a club, but at that price, I would hope it would be hot.
