Love this place! The woman at the front of house was wonderful and helpful, even answered the phone as we called to say we'd be a bit late for out reservation. When we arrived, at 10:30 on a Saturday night, she was warm and welcoming, and made sure to have us seated at a table that would be comfortable for the elders in our party. The best was Chino Pons and his fantastic Cuban band, great salsa dancing and a great vibe.

Entertainment and Ambiance was fantastic. Drinks were OK but nothing fancy. Didn't eat the food. Tables are a little too crowded to be able to dig in. Would recommend eating dinner first before heading there. Service was super slow. Was only able to have two drinks. Had they have been quicker and more attentive, they would have made more money off of us. Go their for the Vibe. Would definitely recommend.

If you go here to enjoy jazz you will be disturbed by the constant and loud chatting and laughter of people, mainly people sitting at the bar. Musicians are fantastic, bands incredible but attendance extremely rude. Happened twice, not sure if there will be a third time. Most annoying thing: besides the band's director, no one from The Django's staff made even an attempt to stop this annoying and constant buzz. Jazz is not free here, you pay a cover for it.

Fantastic service! Prices are higher than other bar/restaurants but for the quality of the live music and the excellent service, worth it.

I am very upset with my past experience at Django. I've been going there for years but noticed a big change in the new management and not a good one. I made a reservation, when we got there the hostess (tall Black woman with long braids) said to wait because the table is still occupied and should be open soon. We sat in the back behind the cameras and couldn't see anything and had no waitress service so went to the bar. Waited for 30 minutes to try to order a drink, as the hostess sat other people. She finally sees me and says if I'm ok. And I said did you forget we are waiting for a table. Seems as she did forget. I told her that it's fine we can just stay at bar at this point due to my frustration. But why do we have to make a reservation if we can't even be seated at a table. The hostess needs to be better about making sure to seat people. I noticed the Django has new management and has changed a bit. Before you didn't have to have a reservation nor put a credit card down to hold a reservation. Now you have to have one. And when you do show up without a reservation the only place to stand is in the back bar, where before we could have stood near the band. I love Django but I feel like the venue is being too restrictive and snobby of a place to enjoy anymore. Where before it was friendly and welcoming.

Our waiter was very friendly although service was a little slow. He was a good sport when we were joking around with him. The food (crudite) was good but a bit overpriced for the amount we got. My date's cocktail was excellent (I don't usually like gin, but I liked this drink anyway). Cool spot to hear music, and the Roxy hotel is gorgeous. Good date spot!

Went for drinks and Jazz. Awesome room/ambiance, can get very loud as live music does. Drinks were very good, service was okay but it was very busy. Cover charge if you aren't a hotel guest can make the bill higher than you expect but will probably go back. Had a great time.

The Django hid fees in our receipt. The charges were incorrect in a number of ways (double charging for one drink, but not including another, similar for some food items). We thought it was close enough, and so didn't insist on our specific items being correctly noted on the receipt. HOWEVER--they told us that they were "kindly" undercharging us the cover fees, and yet they sneakily hid some of that money in other ways. The math on the receipt simply did not add up correctly.

The money itself wasn't enough to make a fuss about more than a day later, but on principle I find this really shady and would not recommend The Django for this reason.

The vibe at this place is very hipster and the setting (vaulted ceilings, like being in a wine cellar) is fun. The jazz band was good. The hamburger I had was excellent. However, the fries were very salty, and, more importantly, we ordered two appetizers for our party of 4 that just never arrived. The burgers came out and there was no apology for the fact that the appetizers had never been served. That was quite bizarre. For the price (two-drink minimum plus $20 cover charge per person, plus food--$25 for the burger, for example), and for the service, I don't think we'll be returning soon unless there is a very well-regarded jazz act playing.

Have been here a few times, and am finally writing a review. The live music is great and the venue itself is really fantastic. I feel like I've been transported to some small village in Europe, where local musicians strike up and you get to dine to their creativity. I've met lots of folks from around the world who visit, mainly because the venue is in the Roxy hotel. Cover charge can be a bit annoying to pay on top of your bill, however, it keeps a true adoring crowd present and weeds out folks looking for a cheap night out. So be prepared to shell out some cash, but you get a live show to go with it, which makes it worth it.

Great atmosphere and great place. Very good for night out. If you can look pass the rude staff it’s worth the time because the musicians are worth it.

I recommend if you check in don’t wait by the bar because they may forget about you.

Gorgeous place with a great vibe. Our waiter was quite lovely, but the food order was a disaster, taking nearly an hour to get to us. The 2 drink minimum is easy, but I think the $15 cover per person is a bit steep. I'd go back for a couple drinks and the music, but will never eat there again.

This is a nice restaurant in The Roxy Hotel. We came early and were shown to a back table but when we asked to be close to the stage, we were moved right away. The food was good, not outstanding. This is not a place for serious fans of music because the patrons were too busy talking to listen to the outstanding jazz being performed. Service was great, food was okay. Dirty martini was not dirty and the vodka though supposedly Belvedere was watery. I’d try it again, the movie theater was really nice, the pool tables and ambiance upstairs was great. Not a jazz club by any stretch of the imagination.

Cool, speakeasy vibe. Place is very small and what you might call "intimate." I was right up against the guy next to me at the tables which are kind of tightly packed in here. But the sound is great. The music on this night was awesome. We enjoyed it a great deal and worth visiting again. It is pricey, though, with the cover and drink minimum. We did not eat here so can't rate the food.

Stayed at the Roxy for our anniversary and went to the club downstairs. Really good time. Great music and fun scene. Perfect spot to listen to music and enjoy great coctails. Food was good. We shared small plates.Band that night was excellent and fun to watch. Felt like being transformed to a intimate 1920’s Jazz club. We will be back for sure.

Fantastic place, music was great. Definitely an expensive night out - the $20 cover per person on top of two drink minimum means you aren't getting out of there for under $100 for two people. But a great spot for a special occasion. I had the Love Supreme cocktail and it was excellent.
