The food was good. Only complaint I have is that they reported that I had not shown up for my reservation when I checked in with the hostess under my reservation
Very disappointed. Have enjoyed the food and ambience several times in prior years and decided to come back again. Food was mediocre, lights were too bright, mojo is not what it used to be.
We wanted to do lunch nearby. We ended up having the restaurant to ourselves before the dinner service began.
Went for lunch. It was surprisingly empty, which makes me a little worried about the business. They still provided bottomless mimosas, and the server was very attentive about refilling our glasses. We ordered the handmade noodles with chicken, breakfast flatbread, and kimchi fried rice. The noodles and flatbread were fantastic, really tasty. The only thing we didn't like was the kimchi fried rice. The rice grains were a little too hard, and it lacked flavor. Had a good time there overall, would return, especially for the bottomless guava mimosas.
I found everything to be fabulous ! We plan to return soon and bring family and friends.
Excellent service and impecable style. The rice are unique but their volcanic special desert is out of this world
I just don’t think we caught them on their best night. Valentine’s Day, set menu, maybe they were slammed. Wrong dishes, courses out of order, etc. Kitchen likely was overwhelmed.
Service was great. Food was just too cold. Needs to be hot. Tight seating so was sat outside in the cold with people walking right past us outside which was a distraction.
My wife and I had an early Valentines dinner reservation for 6pm. I'll be brief. This was a bad experience due mostly to poor service and mediocre food at exorbitant prices. After an hour of missteps by the waitstaff, we were left with one final insult. On top of the overpriced ($99 per person) meal, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to our bill.
They use butter in most dishes but it doesn’t say it on the menu. Heads-up for those with dairy intolerances and more.
When we found out the kim Chi rice had butter, one waiter took it back saying he would take it off the tab. Then our waiter brings butter-free kim chi rice that we no longer expected nor could enjoy. Communication between staff on a very quiet night was disappointingly lacking.

The District is an awesome dining experience! The ambience; food and service is exquisite. Particular commendation to James, who is the best! I’ve dined here several times and have had a wonderful experience each time. Highly recommend!
The food was excellent! We kept ordering until we couldn’t eat any more! It did get quite noisy but I won’t let that stop me from returning.
Fun dinner. Great dishes to share. The garlic noodles and dumplings are always incredible. The special crab was delicious.
The service was lousy. Our order was brought out separately of each other and quite a long time period between each of us getting our orders and then one items was just forgotten about. Would not recommend.
Service was bad. I order kimchi fried rice add chicken $4.00 more. Whey I got order, I don’t see chicken at all. I told my server, she said It was chicken cube in there, me and my husband dig in again still don’t see it. End up she went to kitchen and came back with 2 chicken sticks and said this is different chicken in that fried rice. We know what chicken look like.
Great food but slow service.
The service was the worst I have had in a long time. The waitress only came to take our order and never stopped by the table again. She even forgot to run our payment. We had to go find her in the restaurant. I will not go back.
Having read other reviews, we asked to be seated in James M section. Made a huge difference. Food was interesting, not great - but interesting and good enough. Our waiter made it very interesting and personal
