The District Bar
Always amazing, food is awesome, servers very friendly and helpful. I recommend to friends, should be open for lunch.
I ordered chicken strips and tots- my chicken was raw when I received it. I returned it and waitress had another order of chicken strips cooked. Chicken was cooked but almost a burnt coating. I found it strange a manager or supervisor never came to speak to me or even offer a discount on my meal.. We attend a lot of concerts at the Knitting Factory and always make a reservation at the District Bar before hand. Highly disappointed this time- thought you should be made aware.
This is a great place to go to get into concert before it starts
They have changed the menu again. We loved the fish tacos and now they are gone, which was disheartening. One chef leaves, another one comes in. Sigh. On the other hand, fish and chips is back, but this definitely leaves a healthy choice less healthy with all the frying. The breading was good, but very thick. I just wish they had some healthier, non-fried options.
We always enjoy coming to the District bar before a concert. Good food and service. Cute atmosphere.
We were there for a 5:30 reservation on a concert night. Our waitress had no idea what the prices of well drinks or pints were, didn’t offer to go check and just guessed on the prices. We ordered different drinks because the prices seemed audacious and then she came back 30 mins later to tell us that she had the prices wrong and things were much cheaper. We ordered our meal and 20 mins after we ordered she cake to tell us that the kitchen only had 1 item that we had ordered. She didn’t offer any other options said “sorry, I’ll be back” and left for another twenty minutes. She rang in the tables food all together so we didn’t receive our meals until 6:55 (doors at 7). She came by right before we got our meals to say “I’m sorry I really don’t know where your food is”
We then ordered a round of shots for our table and we asked her what the Well tequila was. She said she didn’t know but recommended the 1800. While I appreciate the attempt at an upsale, knowing the well drink options is important. And at no point did she say “let me go check”. The day of a show is normally pretty busy but the service was horrendous. The doors guy and the announcers are always wonderful, but this service made me second guess coming to you for pre show
This was a fun place to go before a show at the Knitting Factory. Food was fresh and obviously homemade. Nothing frozen or pre-packaged. Our table, however was way too small even for just the two of us. It was more like a side or end table for a living room rather than a table to eat from. It could barely house our two plates.
Used to love coming to The District Bar right before a concert. The food has really gone down hill and is very overpriced. The man who announces the numbers to go into the bar is super annoying. He needs to let people enjoy their drinks and mediocre food instead of trying to entertain. We aren’t there to listen to him talk, just announce the numbers and move on.
The service is incredible, the food is moderate since they got rid of the chief and the removed deserts.
Manager was understanding and comped my friends meal after it was brought out 3 times uncooked (twice chicken strips and a burger). She ended up with a pizza. We were told they are in the process of hiring another cook but maybe the one they have needs trained properly. Any person in food service knows you're supposed to check the temperature of the food to ensure its cooked properly.
This was a really good venueto get all tuned up for an evening of live music and goid times!
Our server was amazing! She was so welcoming and engaging.
Limited menu, but the food was very good. Service was great as were the specialty drinks.
Great place to start before a concert, I would only like to see a large nacho plate that can be shared lol.
We made aveeservation thru open table , which let us, on an evening we thought there was a show, but the show was at a different venue. Not sure why we were allowed to make a reservation if they aren't even open?!!! Not sure whose fault this is, but I hope it doesn't happen to others!
Great place to be before the show! I love the drinks here.
Great food service for a good value. Recommend it others.
The food was fantastic! Our server was quick to help us and checked back frequently. It's fantastic that the District Bar offers reservations on concert nights; I love being able to skip the line!
We stopped in September 16th. We had a group of people with us, many of whom came in and ordered at different times. Even though our table was like a revolving door, the staff at the district were patient, helpful, and accommodating. We appreciated that!
We went to the District Bar before the Andy Grammer concert. Not only was the service great, but the food was delicious and the presentation top notch. I have been satisfied with the District Bar before, but they have definitely stepped up their game!
Just go to get into shows earlier and have a few drinks and food
Good service as usual
Always a great time
Great service and selection of beers on tap. Our waitress, Natalie was friendly and helpful. The best part is go early and get into the Knitting Factory before general public.
We love the district bar! Such a fun and easy going atmosphere
Always an amazing visit, great eats & laughs,
The new menu is terrible. The food was disgusting. The waitress was lost. I used to enjoy coming here before a show and hanging out and the food was great. You guys messed up. I will never come back
The French dip was phenomenal! Always a good experience and the staff are extremely friendly :)
Great food and value for the size of the meals. Drinks are pretty good. It does get loud at times but overall a great place.
Our waitress was great. She was very nice and attentive. My food wasn’t great, but wasn’t bad. I’m not sure it was worth the price, but I needed food.
People friendly, excellent food quality, always a nice time to laugh & play
The setting inside was great for the concert, but was disappointed with some of the staff. You're a bar.. don't get upset when I come up and ask for a drink and you tell me to go back and wait for a waitress... It's rude and shuts down any more business from us for the rest of the night..
Upon entering I asked my server if I could use gift certificates she took them in her hand and walked them back to her manager which was the chef, she returned and told us that we could use them inside the knitting factory venue that they would no longer take food orders after 15 minutes of us arriving. Once in the knitting factory venue she took the certificates again to take them off our bill and was told by her other manager, a different one now, that he would not except them even though we were told so from the manager inside the District bar. Our server Then gave us more bad news and let us know she gave our debit card away to other customers who left the venue I then had to immediately canceled my debit card due to her error. Why so many managers? Why wasn’t our Certificate honored inside the knitting factory when we were told so by the manager in the District bar that it would be?? We are very unhappy about this night. My concert was interrupted several times over these issues! I spoke with a manager Ed after the concert. Terrible service. Our friends and family have been warned! We are very displeased with the District Bar and Knitting Factory! Carissa W
I wish I could rate the service higher, everyone who works there is always so amazing!
I brought my niece with me to the O.A.R. Concert and made reservations at the District Bar for dinner before hand. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. I had the club sandwich and she had the French Dip and they were both outstanding!
Drinks and beer are good but the food, not so much.
I truly appreciate going to the District Bar before a concert. I also love your staff who took such great concern with my husband who is disabled and assisted us with seating! Thank you and we plan to always come when you have bands we enjoy!
Great atmosphere, food was really good not sure what our server's name was but she was super friendly and made the experience even better. She was a cute little ginger girl btw
Great local place to go before a concert. The staff is friendly and the food is great for a bar.
