We had a lot of fun, one of my favorite places to go before a concert at The Knitting Factory.
Had a great time as always and the staff are awesome! Will be back again :)
You guys and gals do a great job with busy concert days! I’m always impressed with how quickly drinks and bills come when requested. Thanks again for another great concert experience!
I revived an email from “open-table” that Saturday the 17th of March I did not show up for my reservations for 2 at 5:15. My husband and I did show up on that date. I believe we were the first customers of the evening and the girl at the front gave us a choice to either sit in the bar or sit in the “restaurant” part. We chose the bar so maybe she forgot to check us in. This is the second time I have revived a notification that I was a no-show. Just wanted to make sure that it was cleared up.
Our waitress Kirsten was excellent. Very loud and food was just okay. Good alcohol selection.
Enjoy the reservation prior to concert.
We ate at the District bar prior to the Steel Panther concert. Reservation was at 5 we were promptly seated , drink order was taken withing minutes and had drinks and ordered food 5 minutes later , food came out 15 minutes later and the burgers qe ordered were very good. They give you a number so you can enter the venue early. Really great experience
The District Bar is attached to the Knitting Factory and that is why we chose to dine there prior to a concert. Our reservation was for 5:45 but some in our party did not arrive until a 6:05. At that point we were told it was too late to order food as the kitchen was backed up. AT 7:00 they pretty much herded us out of the restaurant and into the concert venue. Very disappointing. The wait staff was great and the "MC" was funny but we left hungry.
We always have such a great time with friends and family for dinner and drinks at The District Bar. We dine before concerts and the food is top notch!! Excellent service and great ambiance! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was great! Waitress was awesome. Good experience.
Great service and food.
Nice variety of drinks to choose from. The chicken strips are AMAZING! Service was quick, she was on top of things but not in our faces.
We got reservations before a concert so we could get in early and none of us knew what to expect as far as the food or service. We were pleasantly surprised! Our server was extremely attentive, the food was really good, drinks were great and the atmosphere is what you’d expect of a bar/restaurant. We will definitely be going back!
As always a great place to pre-funk before a show. Our server was super fast and got our order in quickly.
The food was great, although pricey - yet worth the price. Love that they let you reserve a table prior to concert or events at the Knitting Factory and let you in early. The atmosphere is casual the decor is woodsy. The service was lacking, but they were attentive - just slow and didn't seem familiar with the menu. We would go again, absolutely. Would even bring friends.
Wine pour was VERY small for a $7 glass of house red. The service is slow even though time is very limited before a concert. Have been here and not been greeted by the wait staff for up to 10 minutes. It does get busy but that should be expected before a concert.
Had a great time to pre-funk the Matt Kearney show! Natalie was our waitress and she was hustling, so attentive, and very personable! We will be back!
Good bar, ok food. Friendly staff. Fun to sit and talk before the show and get in early
My party and I were seated at 5:30pm the night of a concert. We decided to eat here so that we can enter the concert venue early as is typical with most concerts held at the Spokane Knitting Factory. It took our server over 15mins to arrive at our table to get a drink order from us. Once the drink order was entered we waited another 10mins before it was brought to us. Our server was never on the floor and we had to finally flag down another server who then brought us the wrong drink order. Once our waitress arrived to "check" on us, we informed her we'd like to order food before the concert starts. We all order food which didn't take very long but we were asked by a number of food runners if someone else's food was ours. Once we received our food, it was apparent that we would not be getting any silverware. We didn't receive any silverware until we walked up to the bar to ask for some. We barely finished our food by 6:30pm when doors were opening before we had to quickly pay our checks. I will never again try to eat here before a concert and I will always ask to be seated at the bar. I frequent this venue as it brings in larger concerts, but to not have any type of apology or explanation on why a non-sold out concert was giving this place such a hard time is ridiculous.
OpenTable must have gotten it wrong. I set the reservation for Valentines Evening, and the place wasn't even open. I wanted to leave the dining experience blank because I am not sure whose fault it was...but this review form required that I select a rating. Also feel free to pull this off of the District's Reviews since I really didn't get an opportunity to review the restaurant.
I liked everything about this place except the food that I ordered. The Bbq sauce didn't taste right and I wasn't expecting waffle fries, which are kind of awkward to eat. Also there was so much garlic powder it was almost spicy. Maybe grated parmesan would be better than shredded as well. I thoroughly enjoyed the Irish Trash Can I ordered though. Thanks! Your server was very nice too!!
Loved the food and the service but it took almost an hour to get our food. We were there at 5:40 with a 6pm reservation but got our food 10 minutes before the doors opened to attend a concert and we had to rush to eat it. Wait staff was amazing and apologetic but the kitchen was very slow. I would recommend if you are a time crunch to just have drinks.
If you're reading this then you most likely are deciding on whether or not to go here before a show at the Knitting Factory. The advantages are getting into the concert hall before main crowd gets in. If this is your intention get there before 5, so you can be in the front of the line to truly take advantage of this perk. With this being said most concerts are at 8 with doors at 7. Be prepared to have a few drinks and wait, if it's worth it to you.
Would not recommend for dining purposes. Food is on higher end of pricing for what is served. Most importantly it is very poor quality food. Service is good when visiting on weekdays but weekends they allow too many people in and most of them are standing. So it is very hard to see your server or be seen by.
So temper your expectations when visiting for food.
Dined before a concert. We have dined here many times before and often. We enjoy the food and selection of beverages. We really appreciate the system used at event times. We utilize this whenever we attend a concert and dine at the restaurant at other times for personal special event dining or date nights. Thank you
In town for a show. The District Bar is great as usual.
Enjoyable amenities. An excellent way to begin your evening of entertainment at the Knitting Factory
The food was delayed and our meals were placed in styrofoam containers to take into the concert. There needs to be better turnaround on food orders on concert nights.
I really liked the setting, and it's a great spot before a concert. However, our service was very slow, but the staff were friendly. Not sure if they were short-staffed, but patience was the virtue the night we were there.
Can't rely on them to be open when you have reservations. They can't even email or put a sign up saying they are "closed for private function" until we have been standing outside for 10 minutes. We had 5 pm reservations for months. At 5:10 they put out a sign !
Before we made first available reservations, 5 pm . That is the posted opening. Then they decided to open up at 4! So we had to wait for our reservation for 20 minutes!!!
Horrible visit! Took an hour for our server to tell us that we had ordered something they were out of!! Over an hour for my friend to get french fries!!! We went with a total of 12 people sitting at 4 tables and not one of my friends received good or timely service!!
Food was not done correctly, billing was messed up, we ate in stages as food did not come out all at once.
Took over an hour to get food, ended up getting food in to go boxes and having to pay before we even got food. Will not recommend this place to anyone.
Great way to start the night of a concert! Good beer selection, good food, great location. :)
I realize during a concert event the bar is busy, but the food takes forever. The Pulled pork sandwich had hardly any bbq sauce on it. The bun was soggy. I ended up eating the pork alone. I was going to ask for more sauce but it’s hard to get your waiter to come back. I expected better for the $15 a sandwich with fries cost. The garlic fries are very good but they cost an extra $2. Then there are the chicken strips. They look so good, but looks can be deceiving. They were very salty and a bit too much pepper for those who don’t enjoy a lot of it. The drinks weren’t bad, but one was sent back because it wasn’t made correctly. I have been to the bar almost every time I see a show at the Knitting Factory. Some times have been better than others. At least we were able to get food before we had to go into the show. Last time it took so long to get the food, we ended up taking to go boxes into the venue.
As always, this is both me and my friends' favorite hang out for pre-concert drinks and food.
We love the atmosphere and the staff at the Knitting Factory. I highly recommend this establishment to everyone I talk to regarding visiting Spokane.
Had a great time as always , thanks Matt and Aaron you made our evening very nice
The food was great as always and our waitress did a great job!
Cool place. Good food. Not cheap.. but not super spendy. Works out perfect if your seeing a show at the knit.
Got the wrong order and the food wasn’t great- however it’s usually awesome. Just had an off night I suppose ;)
Poor quality food and service was a little scattered.
