The only and best way to see concerts at the Knitting Factory! Great apps and food choices.
I have had REALLY good service here and I have also had OK service here. It is very slow. Takes a while to get water, drinks and especially food. If you get here early and have time to wait the food is good.
Will never ever visit the District bar or Knitting Factory again, my girlfriend was assaulted at the Knitting Factory venue during the concert and nothing was done, nobody was held accountable or tossed from the venue. My life and girlfriend's well being have now been threatened from people involved, terrible situation. Shouldn't pay money to be treated like this.
Went there for a concert. Food was wonderful as usual. Great service also. Relaxing atmosphere.
I ordered the Hawaiian Chicken sandwich, and when it arrived it was burnt. It also had chunks of burnt material off of the grill stuck to it, and the the bun was burnt as well. I informed the waitress of my food and she made excuses regarding how the cook was new. She did not offer to remove the food from my bill, or compensate me in any way. I paid $14 for the sandwich, and needless to say to say, I likely won’t be returning any time soon, or recommending them to others.
Our server did a great job! I appreciate that we were able to be next to our friends who had another reservation. The only thing that took some time was that we had to have our whole tab on one check. It took some time for her to split it up and it was confusing. I understand that when there is a large group, it is necessary to add gratuity. However, hopefully there can be an easier way to do this in the future.
Our server Madysyn was the best. Will keep coming back. Thanks again.
Never again. It’s changed so much and not for the better. Making reservations is useless if your going to the knitting factory. They allow so called VIPs in before you do. To spend the amount of money and get treated like your sub human or non elite is disgusting and never again will I go there again.
We made res. for this night to go to the concert early. I found that the price of the food was a bit high and to go here to get into the venue early was not worth it. Although I understand it, I still don't agree with the way the Knit and the District bar do business. I will say the service was AWESOME and the food quality was GREAT, no complaints there. I just don't think I got my moneys worth and because of that, I cannot recommend.
Food and service was great.
Always a great time. The service is great. The food and drinks are great. And we get to go to the show early. Can’t beat that!
I got extremely ill after eating there. I had nothing else to eat or drink that night after eating my food. I had a French dip with fries. Not sure what got me sick. I tried to call them to let them know the next day, but no direct phone line!
Amazing experience every time! Great food, awesome service, and fun environment.
Not much point in making reservations months in advance to see a show for early entry when they open the doors early and just let people in off the street and give them your early entry passes that you made reservations for. They allowed at least 20 to 30 people in ahead of the people with reservations to sit at the bar and get in early with no reservations whatsoever. Talk to the three young ladies at the door which I didn’t seem older than maybe 18 and none of them seem to have a clue of what they were doing or what was going on. I basically had to barge my way in in the line in front of people and explain to them I had reservations before they would let us in. The people they let in look to just sit around the entire time and not spend much money so what is the point?
Great food, staff is amazing, lots of music
Its was awesome met some new friends
Service was extremely slow, we waited an hour for a sandwich and a flatbread. Waitress was very apologetic, however did nothing more than assure us that the kitchen was very busy and food would get there eventually. The manager should have been comping chips and salsa or something to hold people over.
We set up a reservation for the Bone Thugs concert but when we got to the check-in area it wasn't on their computers or whatever. And then I showed them on my phone that we did in fact have one so that was kind of an issue. Because if the place would have been to full capacity we wouldn't have got a place to sit
Terrible food, great service.
Booked reservations for a post Valentines day date. Showed up and the "security guard" told us we couldn't order food. When we told him we booked through open table he said, "what's that?. Had to tell him that we were there for food and not the concert... He flat out didn't get it.
I don't like being given the third degree to dine in a restaurant.
This" restaurant" is tied to a concert venue and shares a bathroom with it.
The bathroom had puke all over it, and it was 7:30 at night... 7:30. Really? Gross and Unsanitary.
Once we were seated it took at least 25 minutes for the bar tender, not the waitress to give us any service at all.
Once we had service, wanted to order a Black and Tan beer, was informed they don't have Guinness Beer - what PNW bar doesn't have Guinness?
Bar Tender was nice guy.. The only redeeming thing about this place... but he was not getting any support at all from the other staff.. His service was great.
As far as food, I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich, I give it a hard pass, they burned it beyond what was ok. I ate it, because I was hungry.
Will I go back there. No
Will I recommend it. No
Do they need a major overhaul... Absolutely.
Keep the bar tender... Loose the chef and cut off the relationship with the venue... You may have a winning formula. Otherwise, start planning your exit strategy now.
Clean, cute atmosphere. Decent food. Good service.
Fun bar, excellent place to enter the knit early. Consistently good service.
Got reservations to ensure priority seating for a concert at the Knitting Factory. The doors open at 5:00 and our reservation was for 5:30. Reviewed the on-line menu in advance so we would know what to expect. The on-line menu is pretty limited to begin with. The menu in the restaurant was not the same as the on-line menu and had even fewer selections. Our server told us about the evenings special, steak stroganoff, which was not on the menu. We both ordered the special, only to be told about 30 minutes later that they had run out of the special and needed to order something else. I opted for the fish and chips. The fish and chips was so greasy I was not able to eat it. I told the server when she came by and asked how our meal was. She offered to have another order cooked for me, but we were not going to be able to stay and eat as we had tickets to the concert and the doors were going to be opening soon. Needless to say I was quite surprised to receive the bill and see that I was still getting charged for the fish and chips. I told the server I didn’t think I should be paying for the fish. She got the manager to come talk to me. He asked why I didn’t want to pay for my dinner. I explained the entire ordeal and he reluctantly removed the fish and chips from the bill.
First time there & had a great time! It was great concert but the service was really exceptional in both the bar & the concert venue.
We got to the bar 30 mins before our reservation they sat us. Even though it was busy the waitress checked on us throughout the evening. Food was good. Drinks were good.
Service and food were good but there were a few limitations on the menu. The restaurant did not have lettuce for salads. How does a restaurant not have lettuce? Also no desserts !! Strange menu.
This fish was great! Chicken strips were pretty good too.
Always amazing, food is awesome, servers very friendly and helpful. I recommend to friends, should be open for lunch.
I ordered chicken strips and tots- my chicken was raw when I received it. I returned it and waitress had another order of chicken strips cooked. Chicken was cooked but almost a burnt coating. I found it strange a manager or supervisor never came to speak to me or even offer a discount on my meal.. We attend a lot of concerts at the Knitting Factory and always make a reservation at the District Bar before hand. Highly disappointed this time- thought you should be made aware.
This is a great place to go to get into concert before it starts
They have changed the menu again. We loved the fish tacos and now they are gone, which was disheartening. One chef leaves, another one comes in. Sigh. On the other hand, fish and chips is back, but this definitely leaves a healthy choice less healthy with all the frying. The breading was good, but very thick. I just wish they had some healthier, non-fried options.
We always enjoy coming to the District bar before a concert. Good food and service. Cute atmosphere.
We were there for a 5:30 reservation on a concert night. Our waitress had no idea what the prices of well drinks or pints were, didn’t offer to go check and just guessed on the prices. We ordered different drinks because the prices seemed audacious and then she came back 30 mins later to tell us that she had the prices wrong and things were much cheaper. We ordered our meal and 20 mins after we ordered she cake to tell us that the kitchen only had 1 item that we had ordered. She didn’t offer any other options said “sorry, I’ll be back” and left for another twenty minutes. She rang in the tables food all together so we didn’t receive our meals until 6:55 (doors at 7). She came by right before we got our meals to say “I’m sorry I really don’t know where your food is”
We then ordered a round of shots for our table and we asked her what the Well tequila was. She said she didn’t know but recommended the 1800. While I appreciate the attempt at an upsale, knowing the well drink options is important. And at no point did she say “let me go check”. The day of a show is normally pretty busy but the service was horrendous. The doors guy and the announcers are always wonderful, but this service made me second guess coming to you for pre show
This was a fun place to go before a show at the Knitting Factory. Food was fresh and obviously homemade. Nothing frozen or pre-packaged. Our table, however was way too small even for just the two of us. It was more like a side or end table for a living room rather than a table to eat from. It could barely house our two plates.
Used to love coming to The District Bar right before a concert. The food has really gone down hill and is very overpriced. The man who announces the numbers to go into the bar is super annoying. He needs to let people enjoy their drinks and mediocre food instead of trying to entertain. We aren’t there to listen to him talk, just announce the numbers and move on.
The service is incredible, the food is moderate since they got rid of the chief and the removed deserts.
Manager was understanding and comped my friends meal after it was brought out 3 times uncooked (twice chicken strips and a burger). She ended up with a pizza. We were told they are in the process of hiring another cook but maybe the one they have needs trained properly. Any person in food service knows you're supposed to check the temperature of the food to ensure its cooked properly.
This was a really good venueto get all tuned up for an evening of live music and goid times!
Our server was amazing! She was so welcoming and engaging.
Limited menu, but the food was very good. Service was great as were the specialty drinks.
Great place to start before a concert, I would only like to see a large nacho plate that can be shared lol.
