We came here for brunch and was blown away by the service, food and overall atmosphere. So much so that we came back for dinner and it was like visiting old friends. Would definitely recommend and plan to come back again soon!
Good food and service. Love Happy hour deals!
Our Pre- Valentines dinner. No kids just the two of us. I love the pasta , mussels and the beer. The service is great❤️.
Food was absolutely delicious - great assortment of pastas. Great service as well. Love the old-timey music. Amazing experience.
Great happy hour & excellent service. Sunday night $13 pasta also a great deal, definitely worth trying. We went early so it was relatively quiet but can get pretty loud when it's busy. I've enjoyed dinner here a couple of times.
The server did not impress me when my friend asked for a recommendation for drinks he did make an impression on me. The most interesting aspect was that I am being called about not showing up for my reservation when I am having dinner at your restaurant. So is this the how you check on people who make reservations. Also I had indicated that I was celebrating my birthday yet nothing.
The food was decent but your tiramisu needs work too much cocoa powder made it pretty grainy.
Beeeeeaaaautiful place. Food is deeeeelicious. Clean, open, efficient kitchen. Clean co-ed washrooms. Brunch is great value. Service is professional and friendly.
Always great. Personal service. Reliable food. Decent wine happy hour and cocktails. Great for my dinner out with my daughter.
There was something for everyone in our family group, including our vegetarian. I loved the nostalgic background music and the shaded oil lamps on every table. The service was outstanding - attentive without being cloying. Well return when we come back to Vancouver.
Fairly quiet on a Tuesday. Excellent service and food was certainly worth the money.
Fabulous Ambiance, delicious food and superb service. ( our waiter was very sweet and attentive)
It’s a great place. Drinks were good, food was awesome and the ambiance is perfect. Kind of a New York feel to it.
Please pass on a big thank you to Kieran for his excellent service. We met friends for a quick dinner and 5 hours later we finally left the restaurant! What a great time and definitley helped by the staff , music and overall vibe.
Food and drinks were great, but so many TVs! Fine if sports specials are on,but do we need a movie playing that you can’t hear anyway? Brunch was better for the whole experience there.
We went to the Distillery for brunch, and it was a fabulous experience. We tried the Bloodies with cucumber vodka and jalapeño vodka, had smashed meatball hash and bennies, and fell in love with the thick cut sliced bacon. This place is simultaneously elegant and casual, refined and comfortable. Not to mention affordable! We highly recommend!
Awesome food! Great environment! Evryone really nice
This is one of my favorite places whether it’s for brunch or dinner they do a fantastic job
Great server, lovely staff, awesome brunch pasta! Will be back
Great food, atmosphere, service. Will definitely be back
It's a great looking restaurant but the music was way too loud all night. Difficult to hear anyone.
The Puttanesca pasta dish had an insane amount of garlic in it and friends at the table commented that their pasta dishes also had too much garlic.
The bathrooms were awful and needed to be checked on and cleaned more often during the night.
Brunch here was not that great. The bottom-less mimosas were meh, and the food was oily and just okay.
This was our first time enjoying brunch at The Distillery. They have a $10 menu, which has a good selection. Overall our dining experience was great and we look forward to coming back!
Wonderful as always. Great room. Great food. Great service. Rob and Masimo were attentive and fun. Who knew a Negroni Boulevarde could be that good. Or that a carnivore would enjoy a Pear Gorgonzola Fettuccine. No matter what, end your meal with the gelato drizzled with olive oil. Nicely done. See you again soon.
We had a male server, tall, with shorter grey/whitish hair. He was initially very polite and knew the menu and drink specials well.
Our food was brought to our table and I had almost finished my first mimosa when our server came to our table to check in. He stood completely behind me, facing my friend who was sitting on the bench seating on your patio, and then proceeded to place both of his hands on both of my shoulders. I immediately froze, as did my friend, and at that time tried not to freak out and cause a scene in your restaurant. My friend could tell that I was not okay with him touching me and that I had immediately changed my energy. She got up right away and spoke to your hostess who I am guessing asked another male server to attend to us as the initial server did not return.
I say this in a very respectful way - our initial server's mannerisms and loud tone did give us the idea that there may be a social interaction barrier. Regardless, we appreciated how polite he was and the quick service. But, touching a guest is clearly inappropriate and it immediately ruined my dining experience. As a woman, having a man place his hands anywhere on me without warning or asking is an easy way to heighten someone's anxiety level or bring fear. The situation could have went a lot worse if I was not able to control how I responded to him touching me.
I always schedule my brunch meeting with my close friends to network with them and new women at your restaurant. I cannot say if I will do that again in the future.
I have also emailed the restaurant a longer detailed message
The ambiance is great! Ideal place to meeting a special friend.
They also have happy hour, which is a plus! Highly recommended!
Yummy cocktails and tasty food. Had a lovely seat on the patio. The music got a little loud for conversation but otherwise really enjoyed our time.
The food was tasty, service was attentive, the ambience is good, the only thing is the potion of all dishes are tiny. For $25 a main course seems a bit too small portion. If the portion size is 50% larger it would be ideal.
P.s. The tipping jar in the washroom seems a bit too much for a casual dining restaurant.
The food was delicious - some of the best Italian I've had. Although I felt it was a little pricey I really enjoyed my meal. The restaurant decor is cool, modern and I especially liked the washroom. I would eat here again if back in the area.
Happy hour food and drinks on a Friday night were just what we needed! $5 highballs 3-6
Excellent Rissotto! Pasta is fresh tasting. Recommend the meatballs as a starter. Rosé is also fairly priced and matches up well on a hot night. Sitting outside preferred.
