View from the Dining Room is spectacular. Ordered fish and chips and discovered my chips were cold. Immediately removed and were improved on return; although must have been put under a heating element so the fish was overdone. The others enjoyed their Pot Pie and Short Rib Burger. Was told the Pear Martini was delicious. The quality of food is top notch. Always a step up experience.
Live music, great food, good service and spectacular views. What more can one ask for when celebrating your wedding anniversary. 18 years ago we got married there, and come back every year to celebrate.
Dined on the outside patio facing the navesink river. Beautiful setting but lacking any added ambiance that the molly pitcher should have provided. No candles, tiki torches, palm trees. Just a plain terrace with much wasted space and with not even proper lighting. Only 2 servers for entire place. Took 30 minutes just to get water. 45 minutes to get a napkin and utensils. Was about to leave when our server sent someone to take our order. Food was ok. Grouper and crab cakes were the 2 entrees we got. Pretty uninteresting and stale menu. Management is wasting what should be a great spot. In desperate need of new thinking here.
Sat outside-beautiful view, beautiful evening. Server was stretched beyond what she should have had to handle. Waited a very long time before ordering, getting food and drinks. Food was good, but not hot enough. Bus boy brought rolls after we asked, but no butter or bread plates. These issues are all fixable with attention.
I requested a table by the window so we could watch the Navesink River as we dined. The day was picture perfect! Our server was very accommodating pleasant with an ever present smile. Our food was of the highest quality. The portions were of a good size & the 3 courses we had were served at good intervals. This was to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. Everything was perfect including the birthday candle in her dessert & the sweet rendition of Happy Birthday by our server! A day & meal to remember!
Our breakfast meals were very tasty, came out hot, and delicious! The view is wonderful!
Everything was excellent from the service to the food to the atmosphere.
Dinner was lovely. Menu not really creative, but the quality was good. View spectacular of the river. Too loud indoors when the door to the outside deck was opened (often) due to a singer performing outside.
The singer was very good.
Excellent food and avalanche. Classic location.Okay
Menu is innovative and appealing. Food prepared and presented well. Fantastic view.
One word…terrible. We left restaurant without dining.
We were given a wonderful table with a great view of the river and marina. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and very personable. the oysters, the ceasar salad, the lamb chops, and the scallops were excellent. A little pricey, but a wonderful evening.
So sad to see that people do not know how to dress appropriately for the environment.
As with all restaurants, wait staff is difficult to find these days. So our service was very good but slow.
The food was good a bit pricey for a lunch. The server Helena was very sweet and made sure we were well pleased.. The very best thing ztthis venue is the beautiful location on theNavesink.
We had a wonderful lunch with clients, overlooking the beautiful Navesink. We specially enjoyed the crab cake and salmon entrees. The professional service was efficient, yet we were not rushed. The apple crisp dessert was delicious, but it would have been nice to have a chocolate option, other than ice cream. I look forward to returning to The Molly with my husband!
We took our family of 4 here for a celebration dinner. The atmosphere is outstanding! We sat outside overlooking the Navesink River- breathtaking views! Immediately we noticed there was 1 waitress, 1 buser, and 1 runner. There were at least 8 tables of people outside. We could see they were exhausted and overwhelmed. Our waitress was Kristen- she was so sweet, apologetic for us having to wait, and kept thanking us for our patience. (I felt bad for her) Things were moving slow, but honestly, it wasn't her fault. They were obviously short-staffed. We didn't mind as I said- the view was amazing and we enjoyed it! Our food was delicious for apps we had watermelon-burrata salad it was so refreshing, clam chowder- amazing and a delicious Ceasar salad! We had the grouper it was delicious and cooked perfectly! My kids ordered the salmon and the Carbonara and were very pleased with their choices! All of our food was very, very good. Kristen even took a beautiful family picture for us!
Service was okay, waitress seemed really frazzled even though there weren't many tables. Food was decent and came out missing a few things but they were later brought. It tasted pretty average and wasn't really anything to write home about. Overall just a decent place and we missed their old buffet which was amazing. Hopefully they are able to bring that back soon.
Food was great. Very relaxed atmosphere. Service was great.
We ate on the patio & it was a beautiful night. Our meals were excellent & service was wonderful. Can’t wait to go back!
A very pleasant brunch at the Molly Pitcher Inn. Great atmosphere with views of the marina and river. The service was excellent by a friendly, motivated staff. Food was good.
As always, our server, Sue, was very attentive and professional. We all had different meals for lunch. All were delicious. There is a new dessert item offered. It is the strawberry waffle sundae. Very good.
wonderful! service was great, presentation was amazing, food was absolutely delicious! we got the selection of 3 (goat, brie, and manchego) cheeseboard, skirt steak, the carbonara, and the crème brûlée and it was all great! would recommend for a special occasion or a date!
The setting is spectacular as you can chose outside on the deck on inside with a great view of the river. The food was excellent. Our server was very attentive and delightful!
The view is outstanding. Service is OK. The waiter was very experienced. Food in general was OK. But I ordered oysters and they were served dried and not separated from a shell. We returned my wife’s cappuccino twice.
We love the dining room. There was a bartender last night who was so cold. We sat at the bar for over 10 minutes with dirty glasses in front of us from the previous guests. We were ready to go to the hostess and asked to be seated for dinner. He finally said” is he helping you? ( referring to the other bartender) we said no, we have been sitting here way too long. He asked us what we wanted, so coldly never making eye contact. He put our drinks on the bar again no eye contact. We paid our tab and he never thanked us or said a word. His name on the receipt is Robert C.
Such a lovely place with the piano playing but you need to get rid of Robert C. He truly did not want to be there and was not happy.
I dined at The Molly Pitcher Inn with a good fried for lunch yesterday. From the moment we were seated the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant for a special lunch experience.
great venue, good service, good food - would recommend
Totally downhill and disappointing. Food is basic at best. Brunch starts at 11:30am..and don't get excited. 2 lunch menu items added to their pathetic breakfast. Hollandaise is just lemon juice..coffee is basically stale tea. HORRIBLE..SAVE YOUR MONEY!
Outstanding dinner as always .. Chef is excellent and Brian the International Bar Mgr is great
We ordered strawberry shortcake for dessert. Very disappointed- frozen strawberries. Not up to par.
Excellent food, service and ambiance.
A lovely meal with old friends. Our server was amazing, food delicious & the view not to be missed!
Service was not great, food quality was also below or for pricing. Location and view are amazing, however, the atmosphere is a little stuffy and so quiet everyone seems to feel like they have to whisper.
Our second time back since it’s reopened. First time we let the dinners slide, they just opened…food was cold & not good. We came back to give it another try. Again, the chicken pot pie was barely warm & my crab cake dinner was cold, room temperature at best. I even asked the waiter “Is this supposed to be cold?” No, it wasn’t. We just sent them back and paid for our odd tasting Atlantic chowder (who puts green peppers in a seafood type chowder? Lacked salt & a bit watery) Not sure what’s going on. We went there quite often before COVID closure. Very disappointed.
Very disappointed in the Father’s Day menu. I called and purposely asked if the regular menu was being offered and was told yes. Got there today and it was a special menu nothing close to the regular menu . Slow service too! Not happy for what we paid. I should have got the hint after they tried to get me to cancel last week
Great Fathers Day dining. New tradition for us !
Our dinner inside last night at the Molly Pitcher was wonderful. All though the noise level was a bit loud (there was a big birthday party being celebrated in the dining room), we were delighted with our meals. Two of us had the best crab cakes we have ever had! We look forward to coming back and eating outside when the weather permits.
