The Dining Room - Columbus Easton Ratings and Reviews
Our visit to the Seafood and Roast Beef Buffet was much better this time. The servers and the chefs were fantastic. The sushi bar was excellent as usual. All choices of food items were the same as last time, but they were better prepared this time. We did pass up the fish and other items due to the spices they had. I wish they would not do this , but they automatically add the 18% gratuity to the bill. I always prefer to give what I believe the servers earn as a tip. Even with this, we probably will return again sometime soon.
My dinning started off kind of bad with the front desk hostess not being able to find my reservation, suggesting I had the wrong location and didn't even look up my conformation number. My guess and I still was able to seated and the manager did come to our table and address the issue. overall dinner was excellent.
Amazing breakfast creations. The french toast was out of this world. Stayed at the Hilton for a conference but this was the perfect place to visit with family and friends in a quiet, upscale space. The dining room was comfortable and elegant. The service was spectacular. The food delicious.
Seven of us went for brunch to celebrate two big birthdays. We had reservations at noon. I would recommend going at 11:00 am. The buffet was picked over when we arrived. Several of the offerings were down to the last few pieces and the buffet didn't look appealing. However, the omelette station was run efficiently which is always a good thing. I had to ask one of the servers to get more smoked salmon as the huge dish had 5 pieces left. He did so, but he only put a few more pieces on the same empty plate. All the traditional offering are included, yet it felt slightly stingy in its presentation. The fresh fruit and pasta salad took up one whole wall of the buffet area. Most buffets would have had a bowl or several bowls of fruit instead of the salad bar look of the grocery store. The sweets were very ordinary. However, the complimentary birthday cupcakes for our birthday friends were delicious!!! Anyway, nobody starved and several of the men when back for multiple helpings. Not one of the servers offered an adult beverage until almost an hour in to brunch. Three people wanted to order a drink which they did. Plates were cleared appropriately and water glasses were kept full. One server agreed to take our picture and also kindly divided the check several different ways for us. We won't go back, but I wouldn't discourage anyone from going there.
The restaurant was empty. They did not have a table ready we had no problem waiting. After the host pointed to a table for 9 we sat ourselves. We had 4 children with us including a highchair. We could hear the waiter and waitress saying that they did not want to clean up after kids. We looked over the menu and were ready to order. There was one table besides us. We sat for 20 minutes total and left without drinks or even being greeted. I will not be back. Every other restaurant in the area had a 2 hour wait. I guess we should have known it was to good to be true.
The food was much different this time from previous seafood buffets. The sushi bar was absolutely wonderful and the salad choice was a usual offering. The clam chowder was very different from past times and I really did not enjoy it at all. The pasta selection created by the chef was excellent and the prime rib was fantastic. The other hot meal choices were mostly passed up due to too much spice. Desserts were interesting and varied as well, but we passed these up for more sushi, fruit and shrimp. The expense of the buffet keeps going up and the restaurant automatically adds a 20% gratuity for someone to take the dishes off the table and fill your water glasses. I DO NOT care for the automatic gratuity addition. We did enjoy our time at the Dining Room and selected parts of the seafood buffet. Will we return again? Probably!
The service was slow on Friday night. A long wait to get even the bread. The server was not a friendly server. Never asked how the $100.00 dinner was. The manager never past the table, if this place has one. Not worth the time or money to return,go elsewhere at Easton.
Tried this place on their Friday night Prime Rib and Seafood Buffet. Complete was of time
and money. Even though I had a Prestige Dining card and got one meal free it was still not
worth the price paid. There was one person at the carving/pasta station, with a line forming
you would think they would get help. The crab legs were like mush and water poured out
of them. The only upside was I did see them changing out the food items quite regularly. Have
no desire to return.
The eggs were mushy and tasted fake and gross and im not at all a picky eater. They only served pork for the meat. There was nobody at the omelette station until after i settled for filling my plate with my basic breakfast. My two friends that I was with said that the pineapples tasted a bit fishy. This place may have a good menu, but the buffet is GARBAGE.
We celebrated my daughter's birthday at the Hilton Easton dining room. Unlike other restaurants in the area, it was quiet and very relaxing. We happened to be there when they had their seafood buffet with beautiful sushi, a chef making fresh pasta dishes and prime rib! It was delicious and coupled with excellent service. I would definitely recommend this dining experience. They also have a wonderful weekend brunch!
This is one of the most fantastic restaurants we have ever dined at. It is probably one of Columbus' little hidden spot. It was romantic and quiet and the service was par excellence. Definitely recommend the Friday Seafood buffet and if you go away hungry it is your own fault.
This is a buffet. The sushi was great! There is a decent variety of things to choose from. For 31 dollars per adult, I'm not going to eat a salad, that is for sure. The wine I ordered had a substantial mark up and was mediocre. So, I would recommend it, but only if you are a crab leg lover, I think you will get your money out of it.
My husband and I were spending the night at the hotel for our anniversary. Originally we had reservations at Cooper's Hawk but we decided to stay around the hotel so it didn't feel like any other date night. Granted it was a Tuesday night but we were literally the only people in the restaurant. I was hoping for a romantic dinner and having a restaurant to yourselves could make that happen except that the lights were too bright to create any feeling of intimacy. Between the very quiet music, no patrons and no dim lights, it ended up feeling a little convalescent. We had the crab cake app and for dinner I had the short ribs and my husband had pasta carbonara. Both dishes were just warm and okay, certainly nothing special and not worth the $70 tab not including alcohol. Our waiter, Eugene, was pleasant and attentive. Overall I was disappointed and won't be making reservations for dinner there again.
We usually go to Cleveland for a big Sunday brunch buffet, but could not find one in Columbus- with a child at OSU, we are now more Columbus focused. The brunch at Easton was a full omelet bar, good fresh fruits, a huge bowl of jumbo shrimp, my favorite smoked salmon with all the trimmings, and really good pastries- excellent croissants! The lunch type entrees were a little odd- a cherry pineapple stuffing with perch was truly strange. The sausage choices were also very ordinary. The price was very reasonable, service pretty good, and the environment pleasant. We will return😊
It was a nice brunch place for a group of family or friends. The Sunday brunch was a bit pricy ($27) for the food it served; however, the daily breakfast is $16 so...not too bad. It might be a worth consideration to serve a smaller portion of cook-to-order omelettes - one serving was huge that I barely finished half of it. Ask for a smaller portion if you want to try various food available there.
Over priced for the value. I knew exactly what I would be spending and while I had very high expectations it was nothing out of line from what you would expect from Hilton. The standard the brand typically strives for fell short. Staff was not friendly, food was mediocre, cocktail subpar. I typically chalk up disappointing dining experiences as lessons learned, but with this one I felt a comment is warranted. Spend your money else where; with all the dining options available for Sunday Brunch scratch this one off your list. Just not what it used to be!
My friends and I wanted to have a festive Holiday Lunch in the dining room. We had intended to be earlier but weather and traffic delayed our plans, we arrived after the dining room had closed. The Hilton at Easton was wonderfully accommodating! We instead ate from the extensive menu in the Lobby Bar. The adorable Barkeep was quite courteous and friendly. (he even took a picture for us before we departed!) The food was delicious and served beautifully! We so enjoyed our time there, surrounded by simply sumptuous Holiday decorations. The lobby is private and the casual seating allowed us to spend an additional hour catching up together. Thank You Hilton at Easton! for the delightful experience.
Excellent food quality for an open buffet! Sushi is great, and so are the crab legs. Had fish stew and pecan crusted salmon that was great!! Had out of town visitors and all loved it!!! Server even made a mistake splitting the bill so she gave us $50 gift certificate so I guess we will be going back for sure:))
nothing to say about the food. it was a great friday night buffet overall, but the service could have been better. they could have been short staffed. aside from the slow service, the noise level was extremely high. i could hardly converse with my husband across the table.
The service was outstanding. The well prepared food was brought to our table exactly as we would have wanted. Well prepared dishes with fresh vegetables in use. My companion and I each had an appetizer-Lobster Bisque. Succulent and tender chunks of Lobster tail with homemade broth. Outstanding, but may have been on the pricey side. Didn't have a choice of a bowl or cup , but the bowl was probably too heavy for an appetizer. Our main courses: braised beef ribs and scallops were delicious. Oh, and the warm grained bread with it's variety of bread spread flavors was a nice touch. Not a fan of Easton, but at least the restaurant part was accessible and contained within The Hilton hotel on the east end.
