Nice atmosphere, but a bit stuffy. Didn’t need so much description of each dish to enjoy it. Overpriced. Better food at area restaurants at more reasonable prices.

We visited the Dining Room at Biltmore Inn for my fiftieth birthday, and it was just perfect. The ambiance was delightful, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed the five course meal, and the food did not disappoint. The entire experience was well worth the money.

If your looking for a stuffy place for dinner where your judged as your greeted then you found the spot. Poor value and stuck up waiters. Go to any other Biltmore restaurant for better service and value

Over a two night stay at the Biltmore Inn, we had a chance to do breakfasts, tea-time, and dinner at The Dining Room. It was all a consistently fabulous experience. Especially the tea-time was a unique experience. Not the usual tea and scones, but three courses of three to five small exotic eatables per each course. Wait staff were consistently excellent. All of it was quite worthy of the big post-Christmas splurge for us.

This experience is something you must do at least once simply to enjoy the extravagance. The meal was relatively expensive if you look at numbers alone, however the quality of the food was exquisite and the service was outstanding. We were waited on by at least 7 people for various courses and functions in addition to our primary attendant who was incredibly proficient. The braised spare rib appetizer was so tender you could cut it with a fork, the ribeye was done to perfection and served with the decadently delicious truffle whipped potatoes, and the crème brulee was an innovative twist on the traditional with the addition of pomegranate and persimmon toppings. Extra complimentary bits were slipped in between courses, including the best lobster bisque I have had in my life. As an annual Biltmore pass holder, it was a meal where I genuinely appreciated the pass holder discount, also.

We had a very good dinner here. The service was outstanding and the choices good. It is a limited menu, but adequate variety and some with a nice twist to them. We did this for a special occasion and it was perfect for that and the setting is very nice.

I went along with my mother for a wonderful Christmas dinner, and The Dining Room did not disappoint. The service was outstanding along with terrific ambiance. Furthermore, the meals were very reasonably priced. Overall, I was quite impressed and I would highly recommend dinning here for special occasions or a date.

The dining area is scenic and was decorated for the holiday, with a fireplace in the center of the room. Service was fine and the wine list and menu were on par with other restaurants serving similar fare. The menu offered either a 3 course or 5 course selection that you could mix or match as you wish. Selections were limited and the sides served with the entree's were barely noticeable. With the meals set pricing for each offering it was odd that they had additional charges for sherry in the bisque and the cheese platter for dessert. My suggestion would be to eliminate these and either go a la carte or eliminate the upcharge altogether. It seemed to cheapen the meal.

Choice of 3 or 5 course meal - we chose 3 course consisting of appetizer, entree and dessert. We had she-crab soup, filet and lobster dish and chocolate galant and apple bread pudding. Food was very good with great flavor. Service is extremely good and very attentive. Three course is $65 but some dishes have additional charge. More than we would normally pay for a meal but is good place for sp3cial occasion. The view of the mountains is incredible from the dining area.

Overall I was impressed with the food and chef! One of the best Filet Mignons I've ever had and I have had my share. The service staff was not on par with the food but it wasn't terrible. Interaction with our server was limited and they seemed a bit overwhelmed. I asked her about the ingredients of their amazing tomato bisque and never got a reply. They even brought out someone else's entree to us. When we advised that wasn't ours they quickly grabbed them, looked confused and eventually found the right diner. Then we sat for an unusual long time waiting for our filets. (which wasn't really a problem but no one said anything or communicated) our server didn't even realized what had happened. Not typical of a 4 star restaurant. We would certainly go again... perhaps the wait staff was just a little off their game that night. However, kudos to the chef... wow!

Food was luke warm at best; very small portions; and very few sides worth anything. Two friends got the lamb chops, and canned garbanzo beans were the side for them. I ordered the Diver Scallops, of which I got three, too salted, lukewarm scallops with tiny portion of braised beef. VERY DISAPPOINTING for $65 + +. Creme Brulee was unrecognizable and terrible. We did not eat much of our desserts - all pretty awful; and they charged $4.00 extra for the coffee to go with the meal. Who does that for a $65 meal? I would never recommend The Dining Room to anyone. Sorry to have to give this review, but I don't want anyone else to be disappointed like all four of us were. I will say the service was very good. Thank you.

It was very disappointing when our dinners came and they were both cold! We did get new meals that were fine. This should not have been an issue at this level of restaurant.

This venue is an upscale dining experience located at The Inn at Biltmore. We were impressed from the moment we walked in and throughout the evening. They were able to accommodate my request for a table with a spectacular view. To celebrate our visit to The Inn. The service was truly outstanding and Scott made us feel very special. The decor and ambiance was exceptional. The food was good ( appetizers were exceptional...I had octopus, my husband had short ribs) while for dinner we had filet mignon and lobster tail. Dessert was also good. We we very happy with our experience here and will definitely be back during future visits.

Had Rack of Lamb. Very small and hard to get off the bone. Wife had a lobster dish with pretty much the lobster missing. Over priced for what you get. I do not mind spending $60 + for a meal if the food is good but this was not. The dinning room and the hotel are very nice. Too bad the food was not.
