Our server, Scott was very knowledgeable about the menu and very jubilant. It was a tad loud for quiet conversation as we were sat by the stairs and reception desk. Food was exceptional and generous portions.

The service was good, the atmosphere and decor were nice. The food was disappointing. Not bad, but I really do not like the idea of deconstructed food. Some courses were better than others, however, overall, it seems like they were trying too hard. I want a Filet steak to be whole and not sliced and piled up with bits and pieces of sauces spread all over the plate and little bits and pieces of vegetables and sides. They appeared to be more garnish than actual sides. Diver scallops were excellent, however the menu listed sides were just very small bits and pieces of this and that, again garnish not actual sides. Dessert was the same, deconstructed and bits and pieces of this and that. Disappointed in the food, although the experience was nice. Service was attentive.

This was the second time we dined at the Biltmore Inn. The first was exceptional in terms of both service and food. The second (last Wednesday) was seriously flawed in terms of service and mediocre food. The service was exceeding slow in spite of the lack of diners at the time, was poorly performed and the explanation of the dishes was lacking. There was no advice or discussion on the wine selection. The quality of the food tended towards a bland fall taste. Overall, a disappointment and certainly not a value for the price.

We spent the day touring Biltmore and the winery then headed to The Dining Room for dinner before a concert downtown. The wait staff was excellent and our head waiter was able to provide great suggestions for wine pairings with our food. We will make this a yearly trip in the future.

Had never been to Biltmore before. Decided to come for Candlelight evening tour. Stayed at the Biltmore Inn. Had dinner at the dining room prior to our tour. Absolutely perfect! Our table was in front of the fireplace. Food was excellent. Luke was our server and he was fantastic! Had breakfast there one two occasions & had beautiful Mountain View window seats. Breakfast was such a treat. Mario was our server & he was such a delightful young man. Thank you.

Dinner was very nic, very attentive staff. My filet was not very good" especially what it cost. Food portions were very small, looked for more rolls, but only got offered one. Shrimp cocktail was excellent. Will think of going somewhere else next visit. No xmas decorations up, no excuse.

It was the best experience. All the staff from the hostess to the servers helper were consamite professionals. The food deserves 10 stars as does the service. It was a beautiful and special birthday celebration made even more extraordinary by the ambiance and service provided. Highly recommend..price was also much less than anticipated and made it even more outstanding

Our dinner at The Dining Room of The Inn was our last of a four day stay at Biltmore. The service was very good, however, when reviewing the "specials of the day" it was not pointed out that the special "Bone In Ribeye" was an extra $15 and it actually had less meat than the Filet Mignon, which is a finer cut of beef. One of the party of two ordered "rare" and the filet was served rare. However, the "bone in Ribeye" was ordered as medium and was served rarer than the Filet Mignon. ... We had She Crab soup at all the restaurants that served it on the estate. It was best at Village Social. At The Dining Room, once again it was not pointed out that the sherry that was offered to stir into the soup was an additional charge. .... Also, the deserts were bland and though portrayed superbly on the plate not tasty as expected. ... We do anticipate visiting Biltmore House again, but definitely will NOT be eating in The Dining Room. It's reputation in fine dining certainly did not meet our expectations for a memorable last evening.

My husband and I had dinner two nights in the dining room as well as teatime one afternoon during our stay. Every meal was special and delicious. My teatime luncheon was gluten free because of an allergy, but just as flavorful and beautiful as the items served to my husband. The wait staff were pleasant and friendly. We felt so pampered at each meal. Thank you for providing such a wonderful dining experience at the inn!

My husband and I were members of the Loftus party on 11/4/17 at the Inn for dinner. Our waiter Scott was very attentive and provided excellent service. When I first read the menu, I was surprised to see there were no vegetarian options. Scott did bring a vegetarian menu when asked if there were vegetarian options. I ordered the Fall Harvest which was pretty to look but a very small portion. I selected the Chick pea option for my meal. The meal was served in a large white bowl and the chick peas were in the very small bottom of the bowl and was approximately 1/2 cup in volume. The volume may have been acceptable had this been an appetizer. The best part of the evening was the Ginger ice cream. This meal was overpriced!! After paying $65 per meal, I went home hungry. Hard to believe that you would charge the same for a small bowl of chick peas as you would for a filet mignon. We were very disappointed and will not recommend. We were surprised to see so many empty tables on a Saturday night.
On a side note, we had lunch at the Deerpark restaurant during our stay. The food was fabulous.

The Inn is a truly amazing experience. Right on Biltmore's property, it definitely brings that old school yet high society feel. The menu is very creative and has two sides, a more traditional and more world cuisine side. It is a super romantic restaurant with a great wine list and knowledgeable servers. This is not a cheap meal, however, it is worth the value. Definitely something to save for a very special occasion.

The Dining Room is very elegant and quiet, and the service attentive, well-informed and professional. It's a perfect environment for celebrating a special occasion. Unfortunately, the food did not meet our high expectations. Racks of lamb were well-prepared, but accompanied only by a small portion of sauteed chickpeas and onions, much as I might prepare at home. First courses - octopus and foie gras - were bizarre, the fois gras unrecognizable since it was whipped with cream and sweetened, accompanied by bits of chocolate pastry. The ice cream trio that I had for dessert, however, was perfection - ginger, plum/port and apple butter/rum.

The chef here is trying too hard to be creative. A country ham salad dressing was so salty and ham flavored that it overpowered the salad. A foie gras mousse was the consistency of whipped cream and was paired with chocolate nibs and sea salt which completely overpowered the taste of the foie gras. A sea bass was served almost raw and covered in a truffle foam which overpowered the taste of the fish. Innovation can be good, but here it is not working. The meal was expensive and definitely not worth it. Also, every time the waiter came to our table he apologized for intruding. Having the waiter come to your table at a restaurant in not an intrusion and every time he apologized I felt the need to say you aren't intruding. We hope to stay at the hotel again, but would never eat here again.

We liked staying at the Inn and the fine dining at the restaurant. The Baltimore is beauty and splendor. The entire estate is magnificent and something to be viewed by all peoples from around the world.

We thank you all for giving us a fabulous weekend. We especially thank Bertram for his graciousness and warm greetings as we enter the front door.

We will return God willing,

Delicious food, imaginative and well-prepared. Especially enjoyed the pork cheek appetizer and buttermilk and pear dessert (multiple flavors and textures made it a real treat). Stunning views of the mountains. But the highlight was our waiter, Brian. Attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable but not snobby - a real pro!

Only downside was they tried to stick us at a table with a view of the wall, despite the restaurant being only half full our entire meal. (We had advance reservations.) They tried to do this with another couple, as well, and they also asked to be moved.

We were greeted immediately by our hostess with a welcoming smile. She congratulated us on our anniversary and seated us promptly. Our waiter came and greeted us and saw we had brought our own bottle of wine. He asked us if we wanted the wine decanted now or a little later after cocktails and we chose later. He brought us our cocktails and proceeded to open our wine after he saw we were finished with our drinks. We ordered dinner with just two dinner options ,
a three course or 5 course option. It would have been nice to also see an a la carte option to try another course. Our two appetizers and dinners were all excellent with wonderful presentations. My wife's Smores dessert was delicious and very rich, I had a apple bread pudding with brie ice cream that was interesting but the pudding was dry and and a little tough to get through. Overall, we were very happy with our dining experience that was first rate from the minute we arrived. We would highly recommend
