Beautiful and quiet dining room with a view. I have a mixed review on the food. Loved the carrot soup in demi tase - the highlight of the meal. Appetizers were salty - both the romaine salad and lamb; entrees were sparse on the vegetable sides so the filet looked tiny on the big plate - 3 tiny asparagus tips and 1/4 cup mashed potatoes so that was a bit surprising. Desserts were great. Friendly, talkative waiters and attentive water fillers. Cost was comparative to Ruth Chris but their food was better.
We have dined in many fine places, but The Dining Room at the Inn at Biltmore Estate is one of the very best. Our server was knowledgeable and professional. It was my wife's birthday celebration and the entire staff wished her a happy birthday as they encountered her. The prices are surprisingly affordable and the quality and presentation were superb.
A great fine dining experience! Spectacular scenic views and excellent service! The best by far is the “Mexican Chocolate Cake”. It is a must have dessert! Highly recommend for a special romantic occasion!
We had a wonderful dinner. It was our anniversary. The staff was wonderful and the food was fantastic.
Anniversary dinner. Fabulous food and wine. Wonderful service. It’s a special place for a special occasion.
Dinner at the Inn on the Biltmore Estate was the highlight of our trip! Everything about the dinner and the service we received was superb!
Top notch staff and chef. We went for our anniversary, sat in front of the fireplace, had wine and champagne and 5 course meal. The food was excellent.
We were celebrating our 7th Anniversary & felt the value we received was very poor. My wife chose 3 courses while I had 5 courses. My meal started off fine thru my cold appetizer but went downhill starting with my hot app ( Charred Octopus) that was 1 small tenacle; this was followed up with one Diver Scallop as an entree & 1 piece of Duck breast as my other entree.
Overall, my food tasted good & so did my wife's dinner. However, the person sitting next to us also had Duck as her entree but received 3 pieces of Duck Breast to my one piece. That person had 3 courses not 5 and paid $30 less for her meal. If I had 3 courses would I still receive 1 scallop?
This is a very nice dinning room with very good service but value received for price paid was very poor. We will not recommend the Dining Room at The Inn & will not be returning the next time we visit Biltmore.
This is our single favorite go-to restaurant in Asheville for special occasions. (It is actually the only white tablecloth restaurant in the area.) Every aspect of dining is exceptional. Pricey but worth it. We are locals, dine out frequently, and this is truly an exceptional dining experience in the area.
Dreadful in every way.
Everything was amazing! Scott is very knowledgeable and personable great at his job.
Scott is a wonderful waiter very personable and professional!
A must-do if you are at the Inn or on the Biltmore Estate. The views are beautiful and inspiring, the service is impeccable and the dishes well executed. The menu price is very reasonable at $65/pp and the wine list is plentiful.
They have created a special place to dine leaving no detail untiuched
I found the Dinning Room a most enjoyable pleasure. At 71 years old memories of the grand old time of dinning out came rushing back, superb experience.
Delicious food, Great service, romantic dinner by the fire. Took the girlfriend for her birthday and she absolutely loved it
Having been a passholder for several years and a diner at this restaurant on several past occassions, we were disappointed in this visit. Despite indicating on the initial reservation request, and again in the verbal confirmation two days before, that we wished a window/view seat and that this was a special occassion with two of the party being hotel guests and two being long term pass holders, we were initially given a middle of the room table. Three tables had been seated at windows just before our arrival and none had made advance requests. The service was good but spaced and not as attentive as on prior occassions. The first courses were very good in all four cases, but the duck was overly salty, and its plating unappealing. We all laughed at the attempt to make five sad little wilted carrot ends look elegant. The chocolate desert was way too rich and none of us was able to eat more than a 1/3 of the serving. All of us at this table enjoy fine dining and do so globally and frequently each year. This was not up to prior standards. Most attentive hotels and good restaurants know who their dinner are and use every bit of information at their finger tips to make the evening special. This was more akin to a high priced tourist attraction. Hopefully, not the new standard
Impeccable service, wonderful atmosphere. Food was excellent, except the filet mignon was overcooked. My husband said his salmon was the best he had ever had. Lovely presentation of the dishes. The three course option left us well satisfied. Very enjoyable date night.
Atmosphere warrants good food, service and relaxed dining experience. Wonderful for special occasions or just a quiet evening out. Enjoyed the level of service almost as much as the food
My fiancé and I stayed at the estate for his birthday. The vegetarian options are great and the service is impeccable. He raves about his courses all night! We’ll definitely return for another romantic getaway.
This entire dining experience was one of the most delightful we have ever had. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and the Happy Birthday written on her dessert plate was a very special touch. The ambiance and cuisine was excellent as was the wait staff but our waiter, Hank, was beyond excellent...he was 6 stars!! It was a lovely evening.
My husband and I have eaten in many fine restaurants in many cities. I would have to rate our experience at The Biltmore Inn as one of the best. It was a true fine dining experience in every sense---from the service, to the wine, to the beautiful setting, and the incredibly prepared food. I've never eaten a filet that was as delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary meal and can't wait to return.
The Beef tartare was by far the best part of the meal. My dates filet was well over cooked and inedible. I have him half of mine. The wait staff was wonderful, however, the filet and desserts were not delicious at all.
The food and atmosphere was perfect. Everyone was so friendly and our server, Danielle, was perfect.
View was awesome. Our server Scott was exceptional and very professional. He was knowledgeable about the menu and the history of the estate. We had a wonderful experience.
Very attentive, friendly service. Promptly seated. Very interesting, delicious food. great way to wrap-up a day touring the Biltmore.
The food is always amazing at the Inn dining room and it is so elegant. We also had breakfast here because of some of our favorites of hash brown casserole, pastries, and cheese blintz.
The atmosphere was lovely and the service very good, but neither my husband nor I were blown away by the food. The portions were fairly small, particularly the supporting sides.
At times the food was overshadowed by the presentation. For example, we both chose crème brûlée as dessert. Turns out it consisted of a narrow strip of (yummy) crème brûlée set atop a rather tasteless cookie and ringed with various decorative flourishes. We would have preferred the standard ramekin filled with crème and a crackling caramelized sugar top.
I love the staff. They are all well-trained and display warmth, enthusiasm, and interest in meeting the diner's expectations.
Great, creative food. Great, attentive staff. Wonderful rotating seasonal gourmet menu. Great, cozy and comfortable seating and ambiance. A favorite restaurant in a favorite retreat.
Staff was amenable to family celebration..Pleasant atmosphere. Many small but iportant extras were provided for celebration.
Ordered the 5 course menu. They were normal portion size so lotaa of food. With the amuse Boucher, palate cleanser, and pre and post desert became 9 course. Only reason not a 5 for food was wife's duck was really salty. I mean no taste of duck just pure salt.
The Biltmore dining room exceeded our expectations! Our server, Hank, was excellent! We celebrated a big birthday and the kitchen staff out did themselves with our meal, specialty dessert, champagne and chocolates! We couldn’t have been more pleased. We will definitely come back!
Amazing meal with amazing service. Will be coming back over and over with future visits to Asheville.
Wonderful food, lovely setting, and priceless views. A great special occasion venue.
The service was very attentive, without being suffocating. Moreover the service staff was very sensitive and accommodating for specific dietary needs. The dining room was finely decorated and created a comfortable atmosphere. The menu was comprised of entrees that were creative and would satisfy differing palates. The food was cooked to perfection and was very tasty.
The service was attentive but it was too stodgy and rehearsed . It was as though each person had memorized lines to speak. Again— too cardboard.
This was our first time going to the dining room but it won’t be our last. Everything was perfect!
