My husband and I have eaten in many fine restaurants in many cities. I would have to rate our experience at The Biltmore Inn as one of the best. It was a true fine dining experience in every sense---from the service, to the wine, to the beautiful setting, and the incredibly prepared food. I've never eaten a filet that was as delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary meal and can't wait to return.
The Beef tartare was by far the best part of the meal. My dates filet was well over cooked and inedible. I have him half of mine. The wait staff was wonderful, however, the filet and desserts were not delicious at all.
The food and atmosphere was perfect. Everyone was so friendly and our server, Danielle, was perfect.
View was awesome. Our server Scott was exceptional and very professional. He was knowledgeable about the menu and the history of the estate. We had a wonderful experience.
Very attentive, friendly service. Promptly seated. Very interesting, delicious food. great way to wrap-up a day touring the Biltmore.
The food is always amazing at the Inn dining room and it is so elegant. We also had breakfast here because of some of our favorites of hash brown casserole, pastries, and cheese blintz.
The atmosphere was lovely and the service very good, but neither my husband nor I were blown away by the food. The portions were fairly small, particularly the supporting sides.
At times the food was overshadowed by the presentation. For example, we both chose crème brûlée as dessert. Turns out it consisted of a narrow strip of (yummy) crème brûlée set atop a rather tasteless cookie and ringed with various decorative flourishes. We would have preferred the standard ramekin filled with crème and a crackling caramelized sugar top.
I love the staff. They are all well-trained and display warmth, enthusiasm, and interest in meeting the diner's expectations.
Great, creative food. Great, attentive staff. Wonderful rotating seasonal gourmet menu. Great, cozy and comfortable seating and ambiance. A favorite restaurant in a favorite retreat.
Staff was amenable to family celebration..Pleasant atmosphere. Many small but iportant extras were provided for celebration.
Ordered the 5 course menu. They were normal portion size so lotaa of food. With the amuse Boucher, palate cleanser, and pre and post desert became 9 course. Only reason not a 5 for food was wife's duck was really salty. I mean no taste of duck just pure salt.
The Biltmore dining room exceeded our expectations! Our server, Hank, was excellent! We celebrated a big birthday and the kitchen staff out did themselves with our meal, specialty dessert, champagne and chocolates! We couldn’t have been more pleased. We will definitely come back!
Amazing meal with amazing service. Will be coming back over and over with future visits to Asheville.
Wonderful food, lovely setting, and priceless views. A great special occasion venue.
The service was very attentive, without being suffocating. Moreover the service staff was very sensitive and accommodating for specific dietary needs. The dining room was finely decorated and created a comfortable atmosphere. The menu was comprised of entrees that were creative and would satisfy differing palates. The food was cooked to perfection and was very tasty.
The service was attentive but it was too stodgy and rehearsed . It was as though each person had memorized lines to speak. Again— too cardboard.
This was our first time going to the dining room but it won’t be our last. Everything was perfect!
After having breakfast in the same dining room, I have requested specific tables for our special dinner that evening. I was assured that there would be no problem with accommodating us, since it was a Wednesday evening in the off-season. When we arrived at the reserved time, all of our 3 choice tables were occupied by other patrons. Restaurant was not even quarter full! No notice was given, although we did stay at the hotel and we had a reservation with all the contact info on it. The manager's excuse was that the morning staff did not inform the evening staff of my request. It ruined my wife's birthday dinner and for the $260 that I paid for the privilege of dining there, we should have gone else were.
Outstanding food, service and ambiance.
5 star all the way.
We experienced elegance, great service, friendly service, simply outstanding!
From the service to the food this was an exceptional dining experience. The waitstaff was exception in recommendations and guiding our choices to make our food choices the best for us. The food was prepared perfectly and each little touch was appreciated. We cannot wait to come back.
I'll start with the positive. Great ambiance and service. However the food, while good, did not blow us away. Some of the more "creative" dishes came off more weird than innovative. It was a decent meal, but for the price, I was expecting much more. During our stay in Asheville we had much better meals in town for a fraction of the cost. Unless you really can't do without the fine-dining atmosphere, I'd say steer clear.
Loved everything about this experience! Elijah our server enhanced our experience, he was amazing!
My first time, eating in the Dining Room was wonderful. I cannot wait to come back!
We were celebrating a birthday. It was a lovely evening...great wine...great service...very gourmet...
Excellent service. Wonderfully paced dinner. My filet was great. Soup needed to be hotter. My only complaint. Excellent otherwise.
Our dinner at The Dining Room was a memorable one. The atmosphere is beautiful and the nose level low so conversation is easy. The menu is fabulous with a good variety of choices. We had the 3 course option which is a ‘deal’. What sets this restaurant apart is the level of service. It is attentive and accommodating but not overly so. Be ready for a leisurely dining experience!
We were visiting in the Ashville area and spent the day at the Estate. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. We were seated in front of the fireplace—a prime location. We felt we could have been one of the Vanderbilt’s guests. We enjoy fine dinning and like to ‘dress’ for dinner. Our waitstaff-Danielle- was attentive and not overbearing. We had the three course option. The food was prepared superbly and the presentation was fitting the ambience. The only reason the food didn’t get 5 stars was that my companions lamb rack was very difficult to cut. We thought it was a ‘one off’ until we watched a person at the next table also struggle to cut their rack a well. Overall a wonderful experience. When we are in the neighborhood again—we will definitely consider returning.
One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. I have been there 3 times in the last 6 years (we live 1,000 miles away so only have a chance to go when we visit the area) and each time has been stellar. The food is excellent. Great, creative choices often using local ingredients. The dining room is elegant, the views are outstanding (I recommend going at sunset), the service is amazing (ask for Hank), the food is uniquely and artistically prepared and the presentation is part of the experience. I have dined at outstanding places all over the world and this is one of my favorites.
Lovely place to enjoy beauty, views of the mountains and sunsets, if you can be near a window. Lovely staff. Wonderful menu and all perfectly presented as well as delicious!!
Perfect evening. 🍷
The staff were nothing but wonderful. Our food was mouth watering. We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience.
Took my wife to be Biltmore for the weekend. We had dinner here and it was incredible. Caviar for an app. Filet for dinner. Opened some nice wine. Hard to beat.
(Breakfast is also very good)
After dinner we went upstairs and sat in the Lounge and had cocktails until midnight.
We always enjoy our romantic times at Inn on Biltmore Estate especially when we celebrate with our longtime Friends of the Dining Room Staff. This year's Valentine's extravaganza was exceptional. J&S.
The reserve wine is a must. We had a filet, that was properly cooked. It can with 1 baby carrot and a thin triangle slice of a potato no bigger than a cracker. The server recommended the brownie with melted peanut butter, which we ordered, but then it was covered in nuts which I don't eat. 😯 So that part was an expensive waste.
Great food, great service, a great place to take that some special out to dinner
Amazing food, service, and ambience with great views from window seats. Meals and drinks are pricey plus factor in house admission or night in the Inn just for access and you can have a small fortune tied up in the evening. Nice splurge for a special occasion.
Above and beyond great service! Attention to detail is obvious here.
We were truly delighted with the made from scratch Gluten Free bread selection warm from the oven that we received.
My filet Mignon was perfection AND it was Estate Raised.
Love and recommend this place!
The Dining Room at the Inn is fine dining and pricey, but for us worth all of it. The elegant ambience for an overnight romantic getaway, combined with the Inn itself, is well worth the cost.
Enjoyed every minute! Beautiful setting and wonderful food and wine! Highly recommend! Thank you!
Biltmore is always first class...The Dinning Room is their most upscale restaurant.
Food, service, ambiance can't be beat. A special experience for sure.
