    Our dinner at the The Dining Room was outstanding! The staff was so friendly and accommodating, and the service was perfect in every way. Our meal could not have been better!! Everything was perfectly cooked and the presentation was beautiful! I highly recommend The Dining Room if staying on the Biltmore estate!

    The ambience was similar to an upscale assisted living facility Very generic Pretty boring and uneventful Service was good, However, empty plates sat too long before being removed We were there for our 20th wedding anniversary and they were told this ahead of time, we were seated at a four top in the center of the room… nothing special or romantic about it.

    We always have a fantastic experience in the Dining room! My husband recently ordered fork-tender venison, and perfectly cooked diver scallops. I ordered mushroom and butternut ravioli with the most delicious cream sauce!! The servers are always attentive without hovering, and the meals are well paced. Lastly, the setting is absolutely beautiful. Meals ARE pricey, we spent $250 for 2 adults and 1 child, but we have come to expect this at Biltmore. Overall, the experience is worth the price.

    Another wonderful dining experience at The Dining Room. Every person we interacted with was pleasant and friendly. The food was prepared well and the presentation was very good. We've had dinner and breakfast there twice and will definitely be back.

    Excellent. You must try the she crab soup, was fantastic. Salad greens are grown in the estate, which was also very good. Both entrees ordered were perfect, the filet and the venison were delicious. Jonathan was outstanding!.

    The Dining Room was super fancy. The atmosphere is like dining at a castle or diplomatic dinner. The giant fireplace, intricate chandeliers, heavy red drapes, double white tablecloths. Went we were seated we were asked if we wanted white or black napkins. The host pushed my chair in while I was sitting. The lighting was low, necessitating using the phone flashlight to read the menu... except the menu was lit from behind! The array of drinks and food was just before the point of dizzying - and what we ordered for drinks and dinner was phenomenal. We were started with a complimentary bread basket with honey butter that were all amazing. My husband had the she-crab soup to start and found it velvety and flavorful. He also had filet mignon for his main and I had the porcini and squash raviolo. The filet was perfectly cooked as my husband requested and melted in his mouth. I was very impressed with the raviolo where you could see the yolk through the pasta, and it oozed beautifully when sliced open. It was very mushroom forward and overwhelmed the delicate squash. We finished with the apple and goat cheese doughnut that was delicate, well balanced, and perfectly light. Our waiter, Sal, was incredible. We appreciated how friendly he was and how by the end of the meal we felt like he was a friend joking with us. We did go back for breakfast twice and the tea. Breakfast was incredibly fresh, tasty, and filling. Our first breakfast The Classic Breakfast and Harvest Bowl; the second was traditional egg's benedict and pancakes. The tea was very accommodating for my food allergies while still having everything be incredibly fresh and tasty. Our wait staff for breakfast was incredibly friendly; we enjoyed joking with K - and he appreciated that we remembered his (full) name on our second trip. Our service for tea was good, but nothing like the other meals. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. It is an EXPERIENCE no matter when you go.

    We had an excellent experience. Teresa, who lead our service, was excellent. She deserves five stars. Wonderful filet from dinner, and the Creme Brule was amazing.

    The Inn at the Biltmore was exquisite and charming. The dress code for the dining room is “elegant” and The Library was business casual and they are very strict with the dress code so if you bring jeans, they need to be dark jeans. The service is fantastic along with a positive atmosphere from the time we arrived until we left. The positive energy throughout The Inn our made our stay a lot more enjoyable.

    Absolutely one of our best dinners. View was spectacular. Our waiter was very interactive, made some great recommendations and found the answer to our questions if he didn’t know. Food was excellent and presented beautifully. We will be coming back again

    I rated our experience overall as very good due to the service. Our service started off great then tailed off at the end. Our server seemed to disappear near the end of our meal. We also had to ask for bread when it was regularly provided to other tables. Had service been better the rating would have been outstanding. Food was excellent. However, for $300.00 bill I would have expected the service to have been better than provided.

    I had the crab cake appetizer and veal osso bucco. The crab cake was full of breading and felt like it came from the freezer to the fryer. The veal was dry and seemed like it had been sitting or leftover from the day before. The brussel sprouts were barely edible due to being undercooked. My wife had the diver scallops and Salmon dish. The two “diver” scallops were very small. Definitely not diver scallops. They tasted ok but very overpriced. The salmon was prepared well and was probably the best dish of the evening. The service and ambiance were excellent.Overall we were very disappointed in our experience. We had heard great things about the restaurant so maybe an off night for them. We would not recommend this restaurant. Save your money and go to the Bistro.

    Our dining experience was lovely . The food was outstanding and well portioned . Wait staff (Michael) excellent , everyone was attentive . The Dining Room needs to decide if it wants to be a truly five star experience by enforcing its “ dress to impress “ dress code for dinner service .We did in fact dress as did about 80 percent of guests . There are other establishments on property to offer diners wishing to dine in their finest Under Armor golf shirt or ath-leisure wear, The Dining Room is not the place . Declare yourself an upscale resort experience , don’t shrink from your standards. If no denim is permitted, than enforce it ! Otherwise , you will need to content with being a four star dining establishment . I believe a sign at the entrance stating the dress code for dinner service would serve you well . As to any offended , sorry , not sorry !

    Semi formal business casual, definitely gentlemen in jackets, is a bit much towards creating a " Fine dinning" experience. If it wasn't for being a Biltmore property, this review would have been lowered; provingng it's difficult not to get caught up in the posh environment. Unfortunately, we had to send back one of the meals (Raviolo) as it was severely undercooked. Management was incredible by removing it from our bill, but our expectations crashed after this. We're an older couple and discussed if not for the Biltmore Estate, we'd pass on revisiting. We'll return to Ashville and seek out a better valued experience. Cheers

    Food and service excellent. Our server, James, very pleasant and attentive, gave a lot of insight into the Biltmore Estate and surrounding area of Asheville. Will DEFINITELY come back.
