    Lovely burger and chips - vegan and beef! Both using good quality ingredients and tasty relish. Duck lovely too - could have been a bit pinker but tastes great.

    We had read in the national press that The Poet’s House offered the best Sunday roast dinner in Cambridgeshire. And we spent the journey home trying, unsuccessfully, to see how it could have been improved! Another absolutely delightful meal. Well done to the entire team from reception, kitchen and front of house.

    I had hoped for better from Poets House. Drinks service was slow at the start, food was just fine but not great, a steak unevenly cooked from one side to the other (part medium rare as asked, part more medium), salad was gritty like it had not been washed enough. They took a little something off the bill for the salad. Not going to be going back though.

    Our lunch at Poets House was very good, good produce carefully prepared and served. Our waitress Kate was very smartly dressed, attentive and helpful. Dessert was delicious as was the coffee. They should never change that coffee brand, we both agreed it was the best coffee we have had in ages. The downside was we visited on a very hot day and there was no air conditioning, the provision of this would have increased our good visit to excellent.

    Took my dad for his belated birthday present, we enjoyed the Sunday lunch, it was delicious. Two Porchetta and Two Beef, excellent Yorkshire Puddings, we all said the best we have eaten out for awhile. Lovely room and the service was impeccable, eyed up the Afternoon Tea so we will be back.

    The setting was beautiful. Enjoyed a cocktail on the terrace in the sunshine, then a delicious dinner in the elegant dining room. Service was excellent, attentive but not overbearing at all. Food was delicious; perfect portion sizes to feel you could enjoy 3 courses without feeling uncomfortable. A very enjoyable relaxing evening. I would recommend to friends and family for sure.

    A perfect evening. Beautifully prepared food, a quiet table and a good wine list. But it was probably the service which was the icing on the cake. Attentive but discreet ( none of this silly “is your food ok?”, just there when we wanted help and serving with a smile. Difficult to see how it could have been improved
