Introducing the first Annual Saanich Peninsula Wine Festival hosted at Brentwood Bay Resort. Celebrating the abundance of the region, with over 15 local wine and spirits vendors, canapés and small bites crafted from The Arbutus Room culinary team, live music, and interactive wine stations showcasing local and BC producers. As we gather, we will take a moment to recognize Brentwood Bay Resort’s 20 Years of hospitality and express gratitude to the land and its peoples. This special event will also mark the opening of The Arbutus Room & Bar and we look forward to introducing the beverage and culinary team: Chef Aaron Turner, Food & Beverage Director Adam Ames, and Sommelier, Adriano Cartuliares.

We had very inexperienced waiters…just not trained. We didn’t go to a fine dining restaurant to have kids that weren’t yet servers & no one supervising them. The food was good but the men got their food 10 minutes before us & I had to ask where our food was. We had to ask for drinks….we weren’t asked if we wanted drinks & they never came back to see if we wanted anything else!! We won’t be back anytime soon. When it’s a fine dining restaurant on a Friday night you should have experienced servers…maybe pay more & get good staff!!!

While the service, ambience and food were wonderful, most items in the buffet were already very depleted by the time we went up to the tables and some, including the ham, were entirely empty. The items were not replaced. It was very disappointing, particularly at that price point and on such a special family occasion. If attending the buffet brunch, avoid the final seating.

Easter Brunch. The final sitting for the day. The food items were not replenished once they were emptied. The smoked salmon Bennie’s and other items were not offered during the final sitting. The items offered did not justify the price. It was a standard breakfast buffet with no specialty dishes. Plus coffee and tea was an add on price for the buffet. For two people we spent $168.30 before the tip.

Very impressed with everything at the Brentwood Bay Resort and Spa family Easter Brunch. From the food selections to the dessert offerings to the fabulous servers everything was amazing! Our family enjoys a good brunch and this is one not to be missed. For the price point the offerings were spot on. The omelette station, carving selections (the brisket was to die for) salads, granolas, two different benny's, fabulous regular breakfast items such as bacon, sausages, mini pancakes, waffles and potatoes. Shellfish (mussels, clams) in sauce, roasted vegetables. So much to list I am sure I have forgotten something. Also decadent desserts were yummy too. Plus, a visit from the Easter Bunny!! Brentwood Bay Resort and Spa Arbutus Room certainly hit it out of the park with their Family Easter Brunch. We will be partaking in this event again next year. Thank you to the incredible staff for creating a very welcoming ambiance.
