There with my family and felt like it was home. Service was impeccable and friendly. Our server offer recommendations and each was exactly to our liking as she suggested.
A true pleasure and cannot wait for our next family outing … this time we are bringing friends as well.
Hamburger was WAY overdone and fries cold. If your going to charge $20 for a hamburger it better be good. It wasn’t.
Cabbage rigatoni was ok. Scallops tasted like rubber, shrimp, ok.
Service was attentive. Looked like it might be a fun place to visit again, but we won’t.
Now I know why I couldn’t get a reservation at other restaurants in Allentown that evening, but had no trouble getting one at the Dime. For us, the Dime is a once and done place.
It was Mother's Day. Buffet. Nice choices for Foods. However the fish was cold, as were some of the other Buffet items. Desserts were excellent. Unfortunately, $45 per person I felt, was way too much for what was offered.
We visited The Dime for Mothers Day and had the buffet. I really enjoyed the selections. Our waitress and the whole staff were friendly and very good at their jobs. I loved our expereince.
The buffet breakfast was fine, but there was a very long wait for refills of the most popular items. Longer than normal for a regular buffet setup. The lowlight of the meal was that we ordered Bloody Marys, and the were awful. Pretty sure the wrong alcohol was mixed in.
On the flip side, our server was excellent, and all of the staff was great.
Service is EXTREMELY SLOW, we ordered food and drinks and waited 1h to be served
Great food and atmosphere. They were understaffed when we were there. Wait staff was working as fast as possible but had too many tables to take care of. Would definitely recommend The Dime to friends and family!
The wait staff was exceptional. I have found the food to be excellent; nice portions presented with interesting side orders. Best if downtown restaurantsn
My husband and I came for breakfast and loved it! There was good variety on the breakfast menu. I ordered eggs Benedict and my husband ordered the farmers omelette. Both tasted sooo good along with the breakfast potatoes! We will definitely come back again!
Did not enjoy the food or the food allergies at our table
We had a fun evening out with friends at The Dime. The atmosphere and decor are amazing and we did not feel rushed. We were encouraged to stay as long as we wished. Soba Noodle Salad, Brussel sprouts and soup were so tasty. The only wish I have is that their dinner menu for the dining room have more choices.
Don’t come here late . Flies in my wine , complaining waiter .
I usually always enjoy myself at the dime. However on this evening I was a little disappointed. I was told 2 hours before my reservation there was a special menu for events I called in to make sure they would still be able to do the cheeseboard. I was told it wouldn’t be a problem and they can do it my server said he would see what he could do and for some reason the kitchen declined. I wasn’t told until after my other appetizers were already out . The desert had freezer burn literally had to use a cutting knife to cut through it. The duck wing I would try again. The salmon was cooked just right and my Manhattan was perfect .
This was y first time at the dime. I booked this reservation in December of 2018 as a Christmas gift along with Phantom vs. Marlies tickets for March 16th. I was impressed by the service, ambiance and food. I would definitely recommend this to all.
Amazing appetizers (scallops and the veggie medley)
Subpar entrees (md rare steak and pasta)
Another amazing dessert (lemon tart)
I had 2 excellent cocktails, the only thing was when they got busy in the middle we waited a little bit there to get a second drink
The breakfast was ok but I prefer not to have buffet style.
Great food but small portions.. be sure to get apps/salads to go along with your meals. Great food though!
waited over 45 minutes for our dinner. Arrived on time for reservation and the place wasn;t even half full. waitress kept forgetting the wine but refill son water came quickly.
We had a great pre concert dinner for 4 on Saturday. Our server was excellent and attentive. The food return was slow, and we were late enough that we missed the opening act of our concert. The wine list is brief, and my sisters were disappointed in the selection/price of the redz. I found a white that was decent quality and price. The food choices were varied enough to please all of us, including many vegetarian options. We would definitely return again when attending an even downtown.
Great drinks and service. Unfortunately the menu and food is just average. But really like the atmosphere and location!
Hostess made a big deal about us showing up 10 minutes late. Service was slow and main course served cold. Waitress was pleasant, but not attentive. Not sure if I would recommend to someone based on my first visit to the Dime. Maybe I will change my mind if another visit proves to be that this was just an off night because of the event at the PPL center. Although, that is why we made our reservation at the Dime in the first place.
Excellent food and service from Brandy
The meats are meaty and very juicy at the same time.
Very disappointed that on a Saturday the brunch menu was not available. Had I known it would be a buffet I would not have eaten there.
While the service was slow and there were a few hiccups during the evening, the food was excellent and we were given a few extras for the issues. We will definitely go back. It’s the perfect place to go before a concert or event at the PPL.
Dinner before seeing James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt
I had been here a couple of years ago and had remembered a less than stellar experience. I tried it again, and nothing had improved. The service was incredibly slow; it was almost impossible to get our water glasses filled. After about 30 minutes I asked about our appetizers and the waitress said she'd push it all. When she brought the apps and said the mains would be right out, I told her no. I wanted time to enjoy the apps. I watched her walk over to the chef and he looked annoyed. The duck wings were so tough we couldn't even eat them. Overall, very disappointing.
Great service and great meal
Overall very nice but disappointed that we were limited to a Valentine Day fix menu
Everything was outstanding. We couldn't have asked for a better evening.
Requested window seating when reservations were made but were told the weekly hockey fans always get those seats. It wasn’t before we were almost ready to leave before window seats were seated. Otherwise food and service were good.
Normally always rates at least 4 stars, but had a good/service issue. Isolated incident, we will return.
When I booked on Open Table I didn’t realize we were effectively going to be getting the hotel buffet breakfast. The staff were rushed and disoriented. The buffet wasn’t restocked in an efficient way. And the coffee was really bitter. This was more of a hotel level breakfast experience and not a restaurant charging almost $20/head. I wasn’t impressed.
Note: omelet station was on point
Well this would have been a one-star review had it been based only on our initial visit. We arrived a bit late due to parking problems, at 6:35 with tickets to a 7:30 symphony show. It was busy but this is not alarge restaurant. Told the hostess we had 7:30 tickets. Waited 10 minutes to get our order taken. Ordered only entrees to save time. By 7:20 we still had no food and had to leave. The manager, Adele, asked us to come back after the show and she would take care of us. We had an hour drive home so werent sure we wanted to eat that late. But we did return and Adele did indeed take care of us. Comped our entire meal, this time including salads and coffee. The food was excellent. What could have been a terrible experience turned into a great one due to one thoughtful manager. Thanks Adele!!
Great location overlooking the monument.
Interesting design; menu varied and good value.
We want to hang there some time instead of eating and running.
Had never been was pleasantly surprised by several veggie options on appy menu. Highly recommend the crispy Brussels sprouts!! So yum.
Great spot for a business lunch, attentive and friendly staff, lunch was very good, coffee was great and we will be back again!!
Sketchy entrance walking through the area entering from the parking garage next door. Once inside though excellent decor, music, and atmosphere. Accommodated my request of last minute reservation change as well as window seating. Servers brought us champagne on the house as part of our anniversary. Quick food and service and nice staff being it was our first time there. Overall would do again.
Great design of the space! Felt like I was in a NYC posh restaurant. Our server was very pleasant and attentive!
We were in PA only for 1 night and dinner was amazing. I loved the decor of the restaurant. Great place.
