I have had the opportunity to enjoy the Dickens many times for the live entertainment they promote and for a cold one on the patio on a beautiful summer afternoon. I don't believe I can give a fair assessment on the food because I have not tried enough of the menu but what I have tried I have enjoyed. It was quick, tasty and hot. The staff is excellent from the management, bar tenders, severs to security! Everyone has always made me and my friends feel welcomed and it is their pleasure to have us attend their establishment!! Thank You Dickens staff!!

This place has your typical pub look and feel. I ordered the mini trio pot pie sampler and it was delicious. The pie crust is made in house at it was the flakiest crust I have ever had. The chicken curry pot pie stood out from the three, I will defiently be back to have the full sized chicken curry pot pie!

The atmosphere and service was good, but the pub fare is weak and the beer selection was poor for an "irish pub". Like other comments, food was not warm when served and did not have much taste. I was disappointment because I was hoping for a real Pub experience but aside from the decor, the beer and food fell well short of that.

when we arrived, they did not have our reservation. they did accommodate us but they said they did not have the reservation and that that happened alot with this service...not so good. Tables are uncomfortable...too high and not very good for groups. we were 6. Good menu and food was good

This was our first visit to The Dickens in Burlington. It was rib fest weekend and the Lakeshore Rd. area was bustling with people. The Dickens was quiet because most people were attending the rib fest. We sat on the patio, where only 5 tables were being occupied. It was a nice warm evening - the pub food was very good and our waitress was attentive and sociable. She told us that on a normal Sat. evening, the patio is jam-packed with people.

Very good food & reasonable cost. Prime Rib special is always excellent. Inside decor is really like a pub.

we have eaten at Dickens several times and have enjoyed the food. The first time we ate in the bar area and we were a little cramped sitting next to a couple who should have got a room at the Waterfront Hotel. The fish and chips were great and so was the service. Last time was with a reservation in the dining area with only a couple tables occupied. The waitress was inattentive and we waited over twenty five minutes to be served our food. It took another twenty minutes to find her to get our check ! However the food and drinks were great.
