The Devine Affair recognizes how busy life is for families. We have designed a pre-ordered, family-style, carry-out menu to ease the burden of dinner. Our meals include salad, entree, and fresh bread for four people.
Food was fantastic. We were in the mood for Italian and did a quick search online and was surprised to see The Devine Affair come up as we thought it was just a Wine Bar. The menu was great and everything on the menu is made from scratch at the restaurant. We will return. Great date night location.
The food and service are always top notch. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the menu.
Seriously delicious food, terrific service(I recommend Jose) and affordable bottles of wine! We have dined here a couple times and will be back again!
Great food, ambience, service. Tuesday’s and Saturday’s there is a piano player that also sings! He is great. Enjoyed immensely. Always love to go to this place. Not many places like this in the whole city of Houston!
The food is always consistent and very good. Good wine list. The staff is great.
3rd time to this restaurant and loved it even more than before. The food was perfection, the service was speedy but not intrusive. Value was high and left feeling really full, relaxed and just enjoyed the whole experience. I highly recommend as a comfort and fine dining experience as well as a neighborhood gem.
Great experience with delicious food and wonderful service. I will be back! Nice wine selection without being too overwhelming too. I love the cozy feel of the place.
Our girl group loves this restaurant. It is always great!
Great food at a reasonable price. Great service as well.
We will go back.
The atmosphere was OK, server was OK, food adequate. Nothing was special. This was my first time, I had wanted to try the restaurant for a while. Reservation was 7:30, when we went to order, the items we were each interested in were sold out.
I also enjoy a cocktail before dinner, not an option.
Good food and value. Worth putting with the construction hassles that make it difficult to get into the Parking lot
The JJ Westside burger is simply phenomenal. A must when you visit this neighborhood gem. My family has never had s bad meal at this restaurant. If you have not visited you are missing out. Executive Chef, Dane George knocks it out of the park
Great food, excellent service
Birthday dinner expertly handled. Real nice touch with the desert plate and a Happy Birthday in chocolate. Great place and highly recommend.
I love a neighborhood restaurant....this one always delivers good service and food. It's not too loud. The servers are always polite and responsive.
Great neighborhood gem. Not very big, so make sure you make a reservation. My girlfriend is Italian descent, and she loved the food. Our waiter was excellent, very knowledgeable and down to earth. We will definitely return (NOTE TO RESTAURANT: get a better piano player ... while the gal was sweet, she was struggling as if she was in a piano class ... this was a minor issue, not related to overall quality experience).
Executive Chef Dane George knocked it out of the park with his Saturday dinner special, Veal Shank Osso Bucco. Best I ever had. This neighborhood gem is fantastic.
It was amazing great food and great service
This was a "business meal" but we're all friends, so it's more of a friends' get-together.
This was our first time here. Party of 6. I picked the place as I try to provide a great meal and experience for my team. The Devine Affair did not disappoint. In fact, they knocked it out of the park. We hung out at the bar for pre-dinner cocktails. Bryan (I believe is his name) served us there and was perfectly entertaining, but not too much. It was just the right amount of adding to the conversation without taking over our visiting. He's a character, by the way -- a good thing. Bryan then was our server for the night. He gave some great recommendations but all of the food was fantastic. Not one thing wasn't amazing. The service and food were both spot on. We had such a hard time deciding what to order, we all kind of said we'd need to come back.
Thank you for a job well done, both in the way of service by Bryan and the culinary creations that were to die for.
Live pianist created a great ambience. Chocolate mousse cake was exceptional.
Wonderful. The service was impeccable- could not ask for better service! Quiet, lots of ambience. Food is great and is beautifully plated. My favorite.
We met friends after the Astros game on Saturday for dinner. We had never been before but were very pleasantly surprised. The service was outstanding and the food was very good. We will definitely be going again.
Being long term customers we know what to expect here: solid food, quality ingredients and polite servers. The ingredients are consistently of good quality and freshly prepared. The wine list is adequate, however the fairly new addition of allowing BYOB is a plus for us as we have a sizeable collection including rarer Italian wines. The staff is always curious as to "what is in the bag" and therefore we try not to disappoint. This week my wife ordered her fairly consistent choice of the scampi/scallop combination. We both agreed it was better than usual which means as good as it gets. The scallops were huge, juicy and properly seared. The pasta, sauce and shrimp were also very good.
We plan on returning soon as this place is a great asset to the neighborhood. The construction work on Memorial has been a true logistical challenge but we can see the work at this intersection finally ending so hopefully the better access will result in even more people being able to enjoy this very nice westside restaurant.
Sought out BYOB and got live piano on Tuesday as well. Service good. BYOB no issue. Food good to excellent (try the flounder and the sea bass). Will come back. We stayed late and were not rushed out.
This is one of our favorite places to eat. Wonderful food and service.
My husband and I came here for date night and we were not disappointed. The food and service were good and it was quiet enough to have a nice conversation. Will definitely go back for a special occasion.
JUst a goods, neighborhood Italian Restaurantwith good food good service and a reasonable price
At always, dinner was wonderful. Had the red fish for the first time. Have decided to create a challenge. Am going to have every entree on the menu. May take awhile but...!
Food was amazing. Chef Dane and his kitchen go above all
Great meal with great friends. Perfect relaxing dinner.
Thank you for letting enjoy an evening at our pace,
Enjoyed our meal here. Food was very good. Restaurant a little noisy. Disappointed there wasn’t a full bar!! Considering, could have had more wines by the glass. Mussels and Italian Cream cake delicious!!
We were there on a very busy night. Three large groups. The restaurant handled us as tho we were their only guests. The food was amazing. Beautifully presented and wonderful flavors.
1st time to visit the restaurant. Walt was a fantastic server. Great happy hour prices and tasty as well. Plenty of front parking.
This was my first visit but will certainly not be my last. Great food courtesy of Dane and great service courtesy of Denny: Excellent experience.
We enjoyed our dinning experience at Devine Affair! The cabernet was delicious and paired well with the bread basket. The heirloom tomato and arugula salad was great and the homemade vinaigrette was super yummy. We shared the seafood pasta and eggplant parmesan. Both were outstanding. Service was fine. We will go back to enjoy the piano music and dinner!
The restaurant is hidden at the end of a strip mall, but don’t pass it up!!! The atmosphere, staff was perfect for our married couple date night. The waiter was very knowledgeable on the food and wine menu. He recommended a rose that was not on the list. The pasta dishes we had were amazing and the portion size was perfect. The tirimasu was almost too pretty to eat! 🎉🍾💕
I went a few years ago and didn't think it was the best, but decided to give it another try for an early anniversary dinner...wasn't worth the try. There are much better places to eat. I won't go again.
Wife and I went for quiet dinner. Food was good, wine was good and reasonably priced, service was excellent. It is very nice inside, the location is in a small shopping center so a bit deceiving. Overall we really enjoyed it and will likely go back (we live in Sugar Land so a slight drive but worth it).
Our waiter was very attentive and the lunch was very tasty.
Service was appalling. Food was average at best and the waiter’s pre-planned punch lines were just cringeworthy. Wouldn’t go back if u paid me.
