The Devine Affair
We had a wonderful time out at The Devine Affair with friends. Great food, atmosphere, price was reasonable highly recommend.
We returned with pleasure, this time we brought five additional guests with us. Our group of friends includes a variety of likes and dislikes as well as drinkers and non-partakers. The drinkers enjoyed the wines both the couple we brought (BYOB) as well as the ones purchased. Everyone ordered to their own tastes (we may have had one repeat order) and all the appetizers, as well as the entrees received rave reviews. Chef Dean met us upon arrival (always a nice touch) and several people commented how much they like it when the chef steps out to say hello. Hint: if you have a group the small area to the left of the entry door allows you to be set apart which helps with the hearing etc. (people watching is minimized however). My last comment is that the revised menu is a plus sort of invigorating the tried and true items from the past.
Very nice dinner date. Lovely place to have dinner and celebrate our 29th Wedding Anniversary.
Great on everything
Very nice place for “date night”!
Good food, service, cost.
Great ambiance, awesome food and even better service. Andrew was terrific. Loved it from top to bottom!
Outstanding and we will definitely be back!
The food and service at The Divine Affair is always superb, and Valentine's Day was no exception!
Valentine’s Day menu selection was horrible. Need more variety or stick to the Italian menu.
Food was really nice. Steak was cooked perfectly.
Food & Service might have been Great, never got to try it. Had reservations for Valentine’s Day and was taking my wife and her parents. Made the reservations via Open Table
and there was no mention of a $74.00. Per plate ( not including drinks) Valentines menu. What was more embarrassing was we I’d not get this information until we were seated. Please don’t get me wrong, we are not cheap but if I was going to spend $400 on-a meal, my first choice would not have been a restaurant in a strip shopping center .
Waiter informed us that there would not be any deviation on that day. We left! I felt like they mis-represented themselves and because of that, I will not return.
We went for a Valentines Day dinner. We were unaware until arrival that it was a set menu so I will say I did not do my research. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent. The shortcoming, in my opinion, was $74 each for a 3 course dinner. The wine and tip of course beyond the $148. I think a bit pricy for my taste for a 3 course meal.
I got the chef special and it was amazing. My boyfriend had a pasta dish that was just ok. He didn't like it. The service was good. I would recommend and return.
Wonderful evening! Entertainment on Tuesday nights is great.
Great service, excellent food. Definitely will be returning!
Food service and atmosphere is very good. Neighborhood gem.
We love this place. Food is always top quality and service is wonderful. The restaurant tho busy is quiet enough to carry on a conversation. Chef is the best
The food has been consistently good, but the service was awful . The waiter basically ignored us the whole time, never refilled our water glasses. However, just before tip time, he got ever so friendly.
I made the reservations on open tale. Everything was in order, and they received my special requests for a quiet table and a birthday lady being there. They decorated the dessert plate and gave her a lighted candle to wish upon.
The service was perfect. We had a table for 5 and our waiter took very good care to be alert yet knew how to let us enjoy each other's company.
The food was better than at any other visit I had there. It seems to be better with each visit, and it is always good.
I look forward to going there again. It is truly a neighborhood gem.
I must say, whoever considered this a neighborhood gem really needs to get out more. For the price, we should've chosen Carmelo's down the road for better Italian food. We wanted to try something new before seeing Cirque Soleil for a great date nite. Well all we can say is and to paraphrase Elaine's famous line - 'there was the show...'
Great little local place for lunch or dinner. Outstanding wait staff and full bar. It’s a nice way to avoid a chain restaurant, but still have consistently upscale food.
We were there for our anniversary but I should’ve done more research. My wife was overdressed. However the food and service was incredible. We’ll be going back. Just more dressed down.
Went for New Year’s Eve dinner. Had a very limited over priced menu.. Selection was poor.. only beef and seafood as choice.. ran out of crab cakes even though menu was limited.. probably won’t go back.. over priced
Good service great food and reasonable price.
Excellent service, food was exceptional, it was a lovely evening all around, Thanks again
We've eaten at this neighborhood gem many times and are always pleased with our meal and happy to come back again. Chef Dane George is so accommodating with special dietary needs and the staff is always welcoming and helpful. My favorite dish is the redfish, my husband likes both the chicken parmesan and piccata, and my kids love the pasta bolognese. Portions are generous, but not overwhelming. We can't tell you anything about the desserts because we're always too happy and full at the end of our meal to give them a try.
Great, as usual. Did not have any Stella left. Bad for a beer & wine place.
Most enjoyable evening of good food, good service and an ambience conducive to being able to carry on a conversation.
This is truly a neighborhood gem with excellent fare and outstanding service.
It was the day after thanksgiving so fairly quiet, but the food was excellent and so was the service.
Excellent food, good service and reasonable price.
Outstanding in every way!
The Devine Affair very seldom Ever disappoints. The traffic nightmare is over so ingress and egress to the parking lot is easy. Chef Dean kills it. Good job of keeping/improving old favorites and adding new current items. We enjoy the BYOB policy that allows corkage for wines that they can not carry. Red fish Catalina is a great example of an old now modified favorite. Service is always congenial and efficient.
The Devene Affair has gone down in good food quality and service. Our waiter ignored us most of the time catering to others. The chicken marsala was fair, the carrot cake was dry, the pappardelle bolognese was not good.
My wife and I had our regular Saturday evening dinner here at The Devine Affair on Memorial and as usual it never disappoints. I had the Seared Diver Scallops with a Sweet Corn Puree finished with a Corn-Chorizo-Potato Hash. The Executive Chef Dane George nailed it. If you have not dined here before you are missing out in a huge way. The best neighborhood gem ever.
Very good. Worth a try. Nice atmosphere. Service excellent!
We had passed this corner for years but we just discovered Devine Affair. We will definitely add it to our list of places we want to return. We were 6 people and everyone enjoyed their choice. We were celebrating a birthday and they very nicely brought his choice with a lighted candle.
Went for my wife's birthday and it was fantastic. The service and food were excellent, and the value was spot on as well. Everyone in our family tried a different meal, and all were enjoyed. We’ll be back for a date night soon.
The food wasn't bad. The location wasn't bad. The ambiance wasn't bad. The service was not bad. Overall it is not bad. However the price and value brings everything else down.
