Garlic roasted crabs always A+++. Lots of butter and roasted garlic bathing the not roasted crab. A bit high on the price, but that’s ok - I’ve been here 20 times. Service a bit slow because server had 14 tables - they need staff - so I give them a pass on that - no problem. Food came out quick. Views are always great - best location possible.
Good food..service was just okay. Waiter didn't check in. We needed clean plates
Everything was good except half of our party’s food arrived first and then the rest of us waited nearly 10 minutes for ours, when the first set was almost finished. Our server provided no explanation for the delay. Food and drinks were great as usual.
This place is hit or miss with the food. I've been there many times and it's always the same - either really good or just okay. This time it was just okay and not as flavorful as past visits. The service was lacking, too. The staff was inattentive and slow with drinks and didn't bus the table after repeatedly promising to do so. Maybe they were understaffed because of COVID? I don't know. I'm pulling for them to improve, however, because I really like them when they're ON.
As usual the Dead Fish was outstanding. The food and service was great.
My wife, a friend and myself were here to celebrate our friend’s birthday. We are glad to see the Dead Fish is still in business and busy. The food was great as always and the service was good. The only down side our server did not ask if we wanted dessert or coffee after we finished our lunch. I guess she assumed we were done and brought the check without asking. Also I know you use to do a little special thing when it was someone’s birthday, etc. I am guessing you no longer do it, which is too bad.
Our wait staff, Nicci, was excellent. She provided wonderful service and was attentive to our needs.
great view over the water and very good fish. Shellfish less good
We were celebrating a 60th birthday with family. Our food and service were outstanding! Definitely recommend the crab, the sea bass (in lemon butter with capers) and fish stew. We had the crab crostini with smoked salmon and avocado was also superb!
Food was delicious but your restaurant has many flies and that was very disgusting to me . I have been waiting all year for my birthday dinner at dead fish and there were more than 4 flies flying around my table while eating, dead flies on the ground . Very nasty
The Best. Period.
The food was good, a little salty. Today I'm eating my leftovers and it tastes better than it did yesterday.
The price is steep for a casual place to go for lunch. I recommend they serve a lunch menu to serve until 3 pm .
Our waitress was darling and worked hard. I also recommend telling your guests the bread is no longer free. I was charged x 2. My bill was just a little under $200 for only two adults.
Waited outside 20 min past our reservation time because staff didn't announce that reservations were being seated. Waitress was very helpful and attentative
Our waitress was very friendly. Food was delicious and came out very quickly. The view was beautiful.
It is ALWAYS a delicious experience. Took a dear friend for her 80th Bday, she loved it!
We were a party of 6, had a wonderful table outside with view of the Carcinez Bridge. The food was excellent and plentiful.
Anniversary. Great food , best Mai tai’s beautiful view. Great service. One of my favorites! Don’t miss out dining here
I was very disappointed with my first experience with the restaurant. I found it faded in glory and overpriced.
Had the garlic noodles with chicken. It was an astounding 28 dollars?! Portion was TINY. My husband had a seafood dish that was 6 dollars cheaper. Come on, that's freakin ridiculous. Shouldn't rip off people like that
Food super overrated. The crab pasta i ordered tasted like mac n cheese. And $40 for a dozen oysters , that's ridiculous. Never coming back. It's a ripoff and not even that good
Hadn't been there for a few years and did no know what to expect. But it was a very enjoyable delicious dinner and everyone was very accommodating. We will be back!
Great place to sit outside, feel a breeze, and see the Strait. Food is fine, but a bit expensive. Waiter was amazingly appropriately helpful and attentive. I'm middle class, so would consider this a special celebration place, not a usual place. Nice multi-ethnic crowd of adults of all ages.
When we arrived the host said we could not sit at the bar and was very rude in his response after we saw many sitting and eating at the bar. He said it was closed due to Covid, that was not the case. When we left the bar was busy with people eating and drinking. He probably needs more training, very rude gentleman!
Came here for my wife and I’d anniversary. I have here multiple times before. This visit by far the worst! Reservations at 2:30 and didn’t leave until 4:30. Never asked how our foot was. Water glass empty the entire time. Every time we ordered drinks…no exaggeration took 30 min to get to the table. Good tastes great as usual but service was HORRIBLE. Once new food was dropped off kept having to ask to clear plates and ask for new plates. New plates had crab shells on it and would take to long got servers to come so we just dealt with hit. Spent $200 and was not worth this visit at all. Greatly disappointed.
Great food, service and place! beautiful views! Perfect!
Food was delicious, The view amazing, and the service was impeccable!
Every time my friends and I dine here, the service is great. The server and her support staff are very attentive, pleasant, and positive! We look forward to next time there!
The Dead Fish is consistently an enjoyable venue. Friendly service. Delicious food. We tried dishes we normally do not order and we were delighted with our meals!
Wonderful restaurant. Beautiful setting and Robert, our server, was outstanding. Overall, we couldn’t have had a better dining experience.
Was a small problem. Waitress came back and said credit card was refused and to “give her another one.” We know card is good and my mom took it up to hostess who carried it back down to same waitress. She ran card and it went through. That sullied an otherwise good experience.
Delicious and fresh food. T
We really enjoyed ourselves
Had reservation but didn’t seem to get a good seat. Seemed short staffed but waitress was good. Chowder not as good, sauce for shrimp terrible. Liked the fries and drinks! We’ve been coming here since it was Yet Wah as we were Crockett residents and never was disappointed before. Covid may have taken its toll:(
loved the food, and the wine, the service was immaculate and on time.
recommend to everyone. will be back july 4
Perfect for an 80th birthday or a 21st bday celebration!
We loved all the food and the service was great.
Our server was wonderful . Food came on time and tasted really good.
Food was cold , bread was cold , wasn’t a good experience .
Superb!! My mother and her friends really enjoyed themselves. The staff was the best from start to finish. Thanks for the great food and service.
Third time visitor. Excellent food, friendly, timely and helpful service and spectacular view of Carquinez Bridge and Strait. Far more pricey than our last visit, bordering on unaffordable, but quality and service, unlike many restaurants post-Covid, have not slipped. Still strongly recommended.
Took my wife here for her birthday, excellent service, food was impeccable, definitely worth the price going.
