The Dead Fish Ratings and Reviews
Service was horrible! My family and I dine here at least 1 time per month. It has always been top service and an excellent experience, BUT the waitress was horrible! After sitting for 15 minutes without even being taken into account, I had to go and complain to hostess!
On the recommendation of a friend we decided to head out to the Dead Fish for Saturday Date Night and what a lovely experience! The waterfront views and cozy, slightly bohemian ambience were wonderful but the quality of the service, excellent food and wine were what really made our experience quite special. We will definitely return and recommend this jewel of a restaurant to all our friends. Many thanks to the Dead Fish staff for a spectacular evening!
We were seated in a room by ourselves (thus the noise level is low). I really appreciated being in the room as I am hard of hearing with a hearing aid and noise is picked up easily. When I walked through the main dining area to use the restroom, it made me really appreciate the room we were served at.
My sisters and I had the crab. It was good and fresh. The Birthday celebrants were served tiramisu each and we all had a taste of it. Fine place for dinner.
Our waitress was awesome. Sorry I forgot her name.
The large serving of pan-seared mussels was just the right size for me. Absolutely delicious! My husband had the halibut with lemon-caper sauce which he devoured quickly. Dessert is a must. The limoncello cake was my choice which was decadent while my husband had our waiter's recommendation (vanilla crunch cake). I suggest getting a reservation. The place was busy on a Sunday night.
We have recently discovered the Dead Fish and love the atmosphere. It was a busy Sunday night but enjoyed the atmosphere and the great view of the bridge all lit up.
There are a lot of selections on the menu, and they are flexible allowing you to change out sides if desired.
Great place for special occasions.
We celebrated my grandson's birthday on this occasion, however, we love dining here. This is our favorite restaurant! We love the garlic crab, shrimp and garlic noodles.
They're all so yummy and good as they're mouthwatering with the great seasonings and garlic.
The staff is always nice, accommodating and cheerful. We always receive outstanding service from everyone.
Really a great restaurant but, I'm sure they could upgrade the decor. Very dated... I've been going here all my life and I believe the decor has been the same all my life (lol). Not to take away from the quality of the food, it's amazing. No bad or mediocre reviews on the service nor the cuisine just the ambiance that's lacking due to all the burgundy and gold floating around. Love all the pictures, those they can keep! Very similar to Trader Vic's, they need redecorating as well but, the food is great.
Very good fresh seafood, the Crab dishes never disappoint and a fun, noisy place (lots of celebration parties, fine with us) - just Highly Overpriced and service may suffer when the restaurant is full due to it's popularity (our service that particular night was great) and parking is a nightmare so get there early before 6pm and make sure you have a valid VISA card! It's pricey but worth it.
