An absolutely amazing reastaurant with a just as amazing staff. Enjoyed it more then I would have thought. Food was stunning. In presentation and taste.
Was very disappointed in our table location. We were located in a room deep inside the restaurant. There were flies and it was very hot with one door open and no AC. Even with a reservation, they placed us there and couldn’t give us a time table for when outside seating would be open. Couldn’t even get a table at the main indoor rooms. Service and food was great but our table location sucked.
This is one of our favorites, but tonight we had the rudest most miserable inattentive server. Nevertheless, the rest of the staff to notch. Food is incredibly delicious and worth putting up with a bad attitude. Drinks wonderfully flavorful and we always enjoy dining here. The service tonight was a fluke happenstance. We highly recommend everyone try this place out! It is bucket list worthy.
Great location...parking sucks, but it's worth the pain. The crab is some of the best I've had in the Bay Area, and the halibut was fantastic as well....the view from the patio was awesome!
Great service from Smooth Robert. Good was delicious and ambience outside looking at the bridge was great at sunset fun place.
Food was substandard. My crab was dry and my date's sea bass was nothing to write home about.
Was seated in the Blue Room and it was very, very warm--no air movement. Sweating during a date is not sexy.
Was given a free dessert for poor food, which was good.
Wait staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
I will go back again, simply because I'm hoping this is a fluke.
We celebrated my sister’s birthday. We didn’t get the beautiful view room but at least we got great service and delicious food. This is my favorite go to place when I am in Northern California. The crab and shrimp sizzling platter is delectable and prime rib is so tender and tasty. This is a very popular place so be sure to make reservations early and ask for the view of the bridge
The crab and shrimp skillet is a must get. The garlic butter is insane!
It was great
The hostess was great, but our waiter was not. We hardily seen him and he was not very friendly when he did visit the table. I was at the restaurant to celebrate my birthday and it was not a great dining experience.
We have been going to the Dead Fish for years. As they have grown, unless you are a party of 2 or 3, reservations are necessary. There are no more last minute dinners on Friday or Saturday evenings for a group of friends. This was the second time we were told that they couldn’t accommodate us when we asked to add two people. I’ve also been turned down twice for to go food saying “too busy”. Parking is crazy. I wish they would bring back the brewed ice tea, not the fountain drinks, the choice in size of filets, and the old salad bowls. We were not hurried through our dinner and the server was great. Nobody left anything on their plate! So I’ll have to say that the Dead Fish is still a fun place to go with many entree choices. The ambience is fantastic even when the place is packed to the gills! Good food, good fun!
We did not let them know about a person in our party celebrating a birthday but the waitress noticed she had just received a card and bingo she brought the candles and Birthday dessert! Sorry did not get her name but a nice touch along with great food...thank you!
Their cioppino is the best! Always a good time and a great experience.
Celebrated our daughter's birthday and the food was great. The waiter provided exceptional service and everyone left full...
Service was Amazing she was very friendly and seemed to enjoy her job Food was good but not great but the bread was wonderful The noise level was really uncomfortable
We had a great time
Excellent drinks, delicious rolls, wonderful Seafood selection, yummy desserts, attentive service, beautiful view, parking can be limited.
Waiter was inattentive
I dont know what happend but the service was horrible. That's my only complaint. Food was great a little salty on the sizzling platter dipping butter.
Very scenic restaurant. I had the black linguini with clams. It was very flavorful and light with plenty of clams in the shell. Our friends had fish and chips. It came with a big slab of fish and plenty of friends. The portions were generous.
We had a craving for some CRAB! We were NOT disappointed!! Served HOT, sweet garlicky delicious crab!!
Well worth the drive!!
Arrive early to find parking.
Food was outstanding the service spot on our waiter was very attentive and food was hot and he made sure everything was was too our satisfaction
Food was good, approx. $35 per person with an appetizer and entree. Lots of variety. Very loud. Nice views if you can wait for an outdoor seating. Very crowded. Make reservations. Go on a weeknight. Parking is atrocious on Saturday evening. You may have to walk up a big hill to get back to your car.
Great food and great service. Saw a few friends there that made it even more excellent. Food came out super quick.
We really enjoyed ourselves. There is always lots of choices on the menu. The hamburger was outstanding!
As always, the food was excellent, the ambiance interesting and the location could only have "scenic admiration". The Dead Fish is definitely a good place to come for relaxed enjoyment of a fine meal.
We had a really good time and the waiter was awesome. The ambience was wonderful and the food was to die for . I will most definitely be returning
I always order the roasted crab, maybe with mussels. and this is my favorite place to take people to, especially if it is new to them. I look for friends with birthdays so I can have the crab.
someday I will try something else.
Crab was ok, garlic butter tasted like it needed garlic. Prime rib was ordered medium rare and came out well but was adjusted. Flavor was lacking on all fronts. Place is great and service is excellent.
Excellent ! Was very pleased with overall experience. A little noisy but SF Giants BB game patrons gathered.
Will dine there with friends again.
Very enjoyable meal with my husband for a lunch date. The wait staff was excellent. They were attentive and efficient without hovering over us. Our food was excellent. From the Calamari and Clam Chowder appetizers to the table bread to our entrees of Sea Bass and Wild Halibut, we were happy and satisfied. Our seating was near the window overlooking the Carquinez Strait. We saw a hang glider enjoying the calm, sunny afternoon. It was perfect for a special lunch date.
Prime rib was outrageously good. Calamari steak the best around. Service out of this world.
It was alright the food was not what it use to be. I felt like we was rushed and our food was rushed waiter never asked if we needed anything had to ask for more water, napkins etc. Food was missing flavor and my shrimp was over cooked.
My family and friendsLove The Dead Fish, whether it's a special occasion or not.
Great place for a date. Cabanas are comfortable and cozy. Drowns out noise and has great views of the water and bridge.
Love this place. The calamari is my favorite! The cocktaiks are ehh. Dont turn out they way i like them.
Enjoyed a great meal. Michael was great.
Great food and great view. We had a lovely evening celebrating our 42nd wedding anniversary.
