Wonderful service and great food!
Everything was delicious. Would definitely recommend the Hot on Trout cocktail for brunch.
Great food, great service. Never felt rushed. Too loud but otherwise a great experience!
Quality of food and service have both significantly declined at Dead Fish. They were not prepared for a party of our size and it was a bad experience overall.
A fun, kitchy spot for decent seafood and really entertaining people watching. Our service was quite good. Crab crostini was really amazing.
Enjoyed a great dinner with my husband and his parents. Wish I knew about the "BYOW"- bring your own wine. I'm not sure if they had a corked fee, I never got to ask, but it's a great concept to have for such a classy restaurant.
We started off with a dozen oysters to share with among all of us, and they were nicely chilled and delicious. Then we followed our dinner with a crab chowder and clam chowder. Then finally the main course was a lots of crab to share with hungry selves, along with a garlic noodles. The garlic noodles, I would have to grade it as 6 out of 10. It was average, not something I would reorder if it's the same chef making it.
Would I return back to dead fish and recommend it---YES; just plan on reordering everything else minus the garlic noodles. (Or maybe ours was the only ones that turned out to be like that, who knows) .
Love this place, great seafood and cocktails. When the weather is warmer, nice to eat outside, fantastic view.
Best crab alfredo I've had. Nice view of Carquinez bridge and water from our window seats. Great service. We'll bring friends and family next time.
Horrible seating in back room next to server station. Requested to move seating and was told that we would have to wait for an open table (open tables everywhere) even though we had reservations.
I love it when there is no corkage fee yet the waitstaff keeps wine in your glass!
Our first visit ever and certainly is now our favorite for seafood. From the hostess to server to bushelp, everyone was very welcoming and made us feel special. Thank you Dead Fish staff.
First timer pleasantly surprised. Lots of parking spaces, though parking may be difficult during busy hours. Ordered cioppino; best we’ve tasted! Bread was really fresh, served warm and goes great with the cioppino. Other food ordered were also very tasty; no skimping on ingredients. Service was good and atmosphere nakes for a good family restaurant. Only downside is that prices are a bit on the highside. Will definitely be back.
The Dead Fish experience was great! The waiter was so nice, he even brought out candles and a treat to help us celebrate our anniversary. I would definitely go back!
Great food, kind of hot in the big corner table. Kids crying and noisy next to us, all in all food was great. Didn’t like waiting for our table when we had a reservation at all, and we were right on time. Our waitress was fantastic.
The Dead Fish overcooks most of their offerings. That said, over the years I've learned to navigate the DF menu to avoid cardboard fish and dry chicken. They do a fairly reasonable job with meat and pasta as well as eggs for brunch. Great views, wonderful bar and no corkage fees recommends it!
Went for my husband's birthday dinner. Oh well, was very disappointed on the quality of the food. What breading was still on calamari appetizer when served fell off if dipped in the sauce. My hubby's halibut was cut in a perfect square like a McDonald's fish sandwich and was seared and stuck to the bottom of the serving plate and dry. My sea bass was a very thin piece and looked more like tilapia than sea bass. Mixed vegetables that came with the dinner were not on the plate and we never received any. Not once did the waiter come by and ask us how we were doing. This place had a lot of business and I don't know why unless they come for the view which is very nice. My opinion: No accomplished chefs are present at this establishment and it has become a line kitchen for fast customer turnover to maximize profit. So sad.
I came here for my 35th birthday and received the worst service by Michelle. I felt she was judgemental and didn't want to help people of color.
I felt like I was at Denny’s! The salad was brought out and we had not finished our appetizers, then the order was messed up and brought out right after our salads were served. We barely had enough room on our table. I flew in from MD and was with my Mom and friends hoping to enjoy a casual lunch instead it was like a drive through
Fabulous food -We started with the Bruchetta as an appetizer and it was amazing. Then we had the Beet Salad - great taste and very fresh. For dinner, I had the Salmon and my husband had the Wild Halibut. Both dishes were outstanding! Great view - since it was our anniversary, I requested a window seat. We had a great view of the San Pablo Bay and the bridge! Good service - the wait staff was very attentive and busy the entire time. I would definitely go here again. Parking can be a bit tricky.
The service was very good. Was so noisy couldn’t have a conversation and hear each other.
Enjoyable evening with friends, a bit noisy but the view makes up for any negatives. Food was prepared well, but not out of this world. I prefer mussels in a broth type dish rather than roasted on a sizzling platter. Parking however was a nightmare. I had to drop my elderly party off out front and cruise three lots and two side streets for almost ten minutes and finally was able to be in the right place at the right moment to see someone leaving. Then I had an uphill hike to the restaurant. I would suggest taking Uber or Lyft or a taxi and avoid the parking issues.
I love this place . The crab is exceptional very tasty
Always a great time, the food, service and ambiance are first class. Mike is a great waiter and made our time today wonderful.
We have enjoyed the Dead Fish very much ever since it opened!
Sry nice meal with a great waiter. We had fish and prime rib which were both delicious. We also had a sunset view of the Carquinas Bridge. I would recommend this place. It is very popular
We sat outside and the bridge view was great. The patio heaters did the job just fine even though it was in the 40’s. Parking was horrible but I needed the steps I suppose.
Great food and service
Awesome service and food! We had a great time.
We love coming here whenever we are driving back to the Peninsula. We sat at at a table near the window in the bar area. Food is always delicious and our server was awesome, she was super friendly and attentive.
Love coming here for the views and excellent food! Highly recommend their cioppino or one of their kettle pots to share.
Everyone’s lunch was good. I ordered the braised short ribs, creamed spinach and mash potatoes. My lunch was cold, I hated to complain but for the price I paid, I wanted warm food. Our waitress took care of it immediately and the second plate was good. This is embarrassing to ask for hot food. For the good name and cost, I expected everything to be perfect and not have to ask.
The beef lasagna was too salty. Bread great. Service fine.
Service and food is always excellent!! We always come for the crab and garlic noodles. It's become the yearly
Great birthday experience. I always love the food and we had a great server. Love that there is no corkage.
It was great. Always is!!!
Absolutely delish!!! Enjoyed a great dinner and wine with hubby by the fire. Service was excellent.
Wonderful Restaurant for any occasion would recommend anyone from out of the area to experience the Dead Fish.
Service was first-rate. Ciaoppino was wonderful.
Great service. 2 friends had large beautiful salads, I had the crab melt sandwich on wonderful French rolls.
Was friend’s birthday so they brought a dessert to share along w/a lighted candelabra, very fun. A gorgeous clear day.
