The Dead Fish
Weekend and Monday Holiday Brunch 11 am - 3 pm
Awesome day! Everything was awesome. My favorite spot!
Good access for 95 year old Mom. Unexpectedly good food.
The ambiance is great, but parking is impossible. The service (via Open Table reservation) was prompt and courteous. Took a bit for waiter to acknowledge us but then it was excellent. The only thing I have to say, however, is it is pricey for what you get...it's all a la carte and felt it is overpriced.
The service was great. Food came fast. Hot and flavorful.
I dine here often. it is one of my favorite places. This time I brought my brother here for his 75th Birthday and it was outstanding!! Mike enjoyed the meal and the experience. I will be back!!
Good food good service nice views.
Great food. Caesar salad was fishy. Short rib dinner was excellent. Service was terrible. Slow.
It was awesome
I love the Dead Fish
This is always our favorite spot in the bay area for a special occasion. Great food, service and friendly staff.
I had the romaine salad with beets added. My favorite salad. It is fantastic! We also had garlic noodles which are delicious but too oily. The view is always fantastic and the service was great. We always enjoy the Dead Fish.
Excellent ambience, nice environment, good food!
The fish was so fresh I though it was alive!
Patrons were even nicer than our table.
Excellent service, void and view!! Loved it!
It’s got lots of soul. The food was excellent. Loved our server. Only complaint is it was too loud.
Service was very slow. We wanted dessert, but it was taking too long so we left to get dessert elsewhere. Waiter did bare minimum.
Excellent family style cioppino. Huge portion. Great view. Perfect for a family birthday celebration.
This place was amazing, food was off the carts and the host and waiter were all wonderful.
Normally me and the wife love this place, so we decided to try their brunch....we we're both diapointed. wierd pancakes that you scoop out of a pan...wierd ommlet (momlett)....we will go back, but not for the brunch
I have been a dining guest at this restaurant in the past for lunch and afternoon bar cocktail. Love the scenic view of the waterway. A friend and I drove from Sacramento to 'The Dead Fish' on Sunday to have brunch that was very good. It was a relaxing and enjoyable day.
A beautiful view... and that is where it ended. Food quality was poor. Crab cake was awful, with shells in it. Calamari was awful too... I assume frozen and just reheated for ease in the kitchen. Service was poor. Tables around us complaining to the point I didn’t feel comfortable. What a disaster... don’t go.
Lovely venue. Delicious food. Security on carparks. Really enjoyed our meal. If ever in the area again would be sure to dine here.
This was our first visit to The Dead Fish and it was a mixed bag of good and so so. This place seems to be really popular based on what we have experienced. The place was packed... Awesome view of the Carquenez Bridge and the strait.
Seated promptly inside .... would have liked outside but sometimes that’s just how it goes. Noise was deafening .... hard to have a conversation most of the time.
Ordered crab cakes app and got 2 medium to small crab cakes with no aoli, sauce or garnish. 2 crab cakes on a plate .....They were good but without an accompaniment were pretty dry.
I ordered the calamari steak and it was excellent, served with a side of pasta that was good as well.
My wife ordered halibut in a ciopino sauce. She was disappointed that the fish was over very cooked. Hard to accept or cooked fish at a seafood restaurant
She said the sauce was good though. That dish came with yams, potatoes, pasta and corn ( curious combination and big carb load).
Mike our server was very professional and provided good service.
Not sure we’d go back again..... maybe for lunch if we were assured of an outside seat.
All in all just okay .... nothing special here based on our visit. Clearly they have a big clientele so maybe it’s just us....
Wonderful night with family and 2 birthdays! We were pleased with evening! We always come back!
Had another anniversary dinner at the Dead Fish and we were not disappointed. Always enjoy the crab but the service and ambience are wonderful too!
The sever we had was amazing he talked with my brother in law about the menu and made sure everything he ordered was glutton-free
Great food, fast and efficient service, and beautiful views of the Carquinez Bridge and water. We have always enjoyed coming here and will continue to so.
Uncourteous service staff, overpriced food, salad was wilted. Had to peel my own shrimp. For $50 you’d think the shrimp would already be peeled.
Amazing view. Delicious fish. Good to see paper straws & butter knives. Can’t wait to try the clams.
We came back to the Dead Fish becasue the last tie we had a lovely meal in a quiet ambience. this time it was loud, the food was mostly fried and the general atmosphere was not one I owuld drive an hour for again.
Great place and great food. Will be back for sure.love, love ❤️ This place . Yummy food
We love The Dead Fish. My brother was visiting from Kansas and we always make time to eat here. I also took my daughter and my grandchildren here for the 6 yo’s “kindergarten graduation” in June. 😎 The waitstaff is well versed in helping you order or I should say how not to over-order. I laugh when I park, the “dirtbag alert” signs are a great reminder to lock your car. I enjoy the musty smell in the bar area with the amazing views.
Took my niece here for her graduation and to surprise her with her Apple Watch as a graduation gift she was soooo happy with the food and the gift.... ;)
Birthday. Great food
4th of July/ Anniversary
The Dungeness Crab 🦀 did not taste fresh the meat was dry not juicy at all it was very disappointing unfortunately. The garlic noodles were hard their was not enough flavor using a wide noodle very dry. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere tho good service. Just disappointed in the food but good bread 🥖
Drinks over priced/bar tender with attitude
Prime rib over priced
The server was so helpful and was very attentive! Had so much fun with the whole family!
First visit to this restaurant. The restaurant appeared to have a lot of nostalgia attached to it, the portions were generous and it overlooks the San Pablo Bay. It was a very pleasant experience
The Dead Fish is a classic, traditional seafood restaurant that has a phenomenal location on the edge of the cliff overlooking the Carquinez Straits. Absolutely sit outdoors and take in the breathtaking views. The food is a little over-priced (but you're paying for the view) and more of a B+ than an A. It's clearly a special occasion dining place--lots of tables of four, and most people seem to throw caution to the winds when ordering. Two people can easily rack up $100 for lunch without any alcohol, and it's equally easy to run the tab to $150. Attire ranges from casual (we had just come from hiking the nearby hills) to suitcoat and dress. We will always come back for that view--try it for dinner and watch the lights twinkle and reflect off the water. Beautiful!
Great service, good food, fantastic view. Wish they had the brunch menu on non Monday holidays.
