My Mom, Aunt, & Daughter’s Birthday
We really enjoyed the whole experience. Food was good and our server was very helpful
good overall food was good just a little pricy but enjoyed our selfs and would love to come back
The food was disappointing. Instead of a traditional burger or crab melt, the bread served were the dinner tools. Too much bread and no filling ...
My husbands Birthday Dinner was delicious.
Halibut cooked to perfection!!!!
The food is great. I tend to order crab here a lot, but lately, each time we order it's served less hot. The service can be hot and cold. We've had some great servers, and some not so great. It just depends on when you're dining. Most recently (a weeknight) our server was great. I enjoy dining here because of the view and the seafood is fantastic!
The food and the staff were fantastic. We will return. Easy to get to the restaurant, parking can be a little difficult.
As always, it was amazing. The food, the drinks everything. Every time we come here its always the best. One of our favorite restaurants.
Excellent food with a picturesque view of the bay and bridge.
A restaurant with a reputation for food and view, it is totally inappropriate to seat patrons way in the back in a small and stuffy room right next to the kitchen. Food is decent but the atmosphere totally destroyed the enjoyment of the meal.
The food was cold. Although the mussels were on the hot tray and something was sizzling, they were cold. The shrimp were good and so were the crab legs. The steamed vegetables arrived also cold, not hot or warm but cold. This was not a positive experience but the server was excellent.
I took a friend to this restaurant and I have to say the brunch was expensive and the food and service mediocre.
We got a table next to the window after shifting around a bit and it took the waitress an extraordinarily long time to come to our table and the restaurant was not full.
We ordered omelettes, salmon and crab and all dishes are $12.99; however if you order crab anything they add an additional $12 for it. I am fine with paying extra for delicious dungeness crab, no problem IF it's good.
The omelettes came and they are basically thin large fluffy omelettes with potatoes and other spices in them. However, the crab was practically non-existent and there were weird shavings of un-melted cheese on the top that looked like it should have been run under the broiler.
We also had a bloody mary and 3 mimosas and the tab was $100. Frankly, I was shocked that it was $50 per person for that food and service.
I have tried this restaurant twice, for dinner and brunch and I still come up with the same conclusion....drive to Napa there are much better restaurants for the money.
We had amazing food and nice view and excellent service!
Service was terrible
First time at The Dead Fish and we'll definitely be back. The seafood was outstanding and very fresh. Loved the view of the bridge from our patio table.
Great food, and our server was wonderful with recommendations.
Food was great and so was the service. The fireplace was nice as was the view over the water. A special place to take a date.
The best crab feast you will ever find, this is the tenth time for this dish and we have never been disappointed, no corkage fee, great service excellent food
I've been eating at TDF for years, or as we call it, The Fed Dish, and know that the kitchen over cooks almost everything, but especially fish. Best to stick to pastas, salads and meat. The clam chowder is also good and the bread (still free) is great. Can't beat the view and the service is friendly and helpful.
Crab is always fantastic. Great place to stop on the way home from wine country as there is no corkage fee.
Amazing food. Great view. Very noisy but we were amoung several large groups so maybe to be expected.
If you like seafood this place will satisfy those taste buds. Nice location as well, it's right near the water which is perfect for date nights or just a stroll before or after dinning. Because of the great food and view this place attracts a large crowd which can be a bit noisy and crowded. I think this place is great for any occasion.
Great place to enjoy a view and GREAT food! The wife had the crab alfredo and I had the prime rib. Both meals were EXCELLENT! The creamed spinach was amazing! Crab cakes were to die for! Service was good, quick and friendly. We’ll definitely will be back.
I loved the decor an my mussels were delish! My 88 year old mom enjoyed her ver DEAD fish (and chips)! ❤️🐠
Overpriced but very good. They should ask if you would like indoor or outdoor seating. I was not given the option and only saw that they had outdoor seating after our meal.
The location was perfect after a long weekend of wine tasting in Napa Valley. The food was delicious and well proportioned for the price. We got to sit by the windows which had an amazing view which added to the experience.
Amazing every time I come... so good never get before pics always after lol
First time in for my wife's birthday, quiet lunch on a Monday afternoon. The crab cakes lived up to the raves, wonderful, very heavy on the crab, served hot, but a bit on the small side. We shared a medium sizzling shrimp skillet, simple but scrumptious, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Shared beet salad, lovely. Great views, great service from Jonathon who brought out a candelabra and piece of cake for the occasion. Sang Happy Birthday and gave it 100%. We will definitely be back. Sunday brunch next?
The waiter was very accommodating!
The Dead Fish never disappoints. The food, service, and view are always on point.
Wonderful service and great food!
Everything was delicious. Would definitely recommend the Hot on Trout cocktail for brunch.
Great food, great service. Never felt rushed. Too loud but otherwise a great experience!
Quality of food and service have both significantly declined at Dead Fish. They were not prepared for a party of our size and it was a bad experience overall.
A fun, kitchy spot for decent seafood and really entertaining people watching. Our service was quite good. Crab crostini was really amazing.
Enjoyed a great dinner with my husband and his parents. Wish I knew about the "BYOW"- bring your own wine. I'm not sure if they had a corked fee, I never got to ask, but it's a great concept to have for such a classy restaurant.
We started off with a dozen oysters to share with among all of us, and they were nicely chilled and delicious. Then we followed our dinner with a crab chowder and clam chowder. Then finally the main course was a lots of crab to share with hungry selves, along with a garlic noodles. The garlic noodles, I would have to grade it as 6 out of 10. It was average, not something I would reorder if it's the same chef making it.
Would I return back to dead fish and recommend it---YES; just plan on reordering everything else minus the garlic noodles. (Or maybe ours was the only ones that turned out to be like that, who knows) .
Love this place, great seafood and cocktails. When the weather is warmer, nice to eat outside, fantastic view.
Best crab alfredo I've had. Nice view of Carquinez bridge and water from our window seats. Great service. We'll bring friends and family next time.
