The Dead Fish
Great food, wonderful view.
Just went to the Dead Fish for the first time. It will be my go-to for seafood from now on. Great ambiance, food, and service, and they have a beautiful patio area overlooking the water. This is a gem!
It's charming, amazing views and great food and drinks. One of my favorites!
This place was absolutely amazing! I brought my husband there for his birthday and the food was amazing, the ambiance was beautiful, and the waiters were very friendly and professional. We will definitely dine here again😊
Awesome experience. Will be back soon.
Super busy holiday. Need a few more wait staff
Had a great time and will be back
My husband and I shared a whole crab repeat. We've always had Chris as our server but since we dined on a Sunday he was off. I didn't realize how important excellent server is. I didn't realize that he always knows what to add automatically for example hot garlic butter poured over the garlic roasted crab. When our crab arrived I couldn't understand why it was so dry and there wasn't much juice left over to dip the bread in. It wasn't until I saw another server and adding butter to someone else's crab that I realized. Next time I know to ask for it but I wish our server had thought of it. My husband loved his fish and chips and I loved my branzino with spicy Cioppino sauce. Great atmosphere. We just felt we were missing out on something with not having that extra garlic butter on our crab. But that won't stop us from going back we'll just know what to ask for next time.
We had a wonderful time the food was great but salad size for price wasn't worth it but everything else was on point. I will go many times again.
The food was great but wish there was better seating for larger parties. The tables and booths are a little small. I suggest daily specials or featured dishes.
Love this place the food is so good. Never had anything bad there. The service is always great the workers are always friendly
Our waiter Jeremy was outstanding. It was extremely busy and there were hiccups with our orders arriving to our party of 9 at the same time. The kitchen was having a challenging time keeping up apparently. To all of us, it was the fun of being together so we didn't blame our server. He was apologetic, as was the manager. All in all, it was a great day.
Always delicious! Service can be a bit slow, just because Sunday brunch is busy, but you can always count on consistently good food.
The food was amazing. Great place to celebrate a birthday!
One of our favorites ! We have never been disappointed. The food and service is always on point! Love this place!
The food is always delicious and the presentation and taste of the family size clams was perfect. Ample bread was provided to finish the broth. I would definitely return!
Made a reservation, but was seated at a lousy table with no view when there were several empty tables available where one could look at the water. Greeter was rather rude but wait staff was right on the ball! Food was delicious.
Always a good meal at the Dead Fish! I can never get past the Cioppino, my favorite!
The service and food was excellent. The atmosphere was good and my server was excellent.
In the last year this was my third meal at "Dead Fish." I have throughly enjoyed each meal more than the preceding one. The location and ambiance is second to none. Service each time has be exemplary. My only complaint is the noise level but you have to expect that when you're surrounded by like minded people enjoying one of the truly great eateries in the Bay Area. Many thanks!
The food taste great the only thing my food was served cold also the bread that they serve before meals was also used on my husband sandwich and my daughter Hamburger it would be nice to serve a different style of bread with the meals other than that I loved it will go again
Lovely! Nice view & delicious!
The tables were not clean, The bartender got our drinks wrong, the muscles were burned We chose not to stay for dinner. Our server was amazing however.
This is a delightful restaurant beautifully situated with an overlook of the Carquinez Bridge and San Pablo Bay. For this dinner we selected the prime rib (tender, delicious). Service was attentive.
Food is great! Service is great! Awesome view as well...
When I made my recommendation, I indicated that it was my wife's birthday. When we arrived, I asked the hostess if the Dead Fish did anything for birthday's. She said yes, and said she reminded our server by giving him a note.
The server forgot. Never mentioned anything re: my wife's birthday.
Service a little too slow but overall experience good.
Great place for a little birthday dinner with a handful of your friends
Food and service excellent just waited a bit long for order
We have been a number of times. This time, they never refilled or offered to refill our tea. The food was meh! Not sure if we will go back.
this is a great place to visit the views are incredible the food is absolutely AMAZING!!! if you love seafood this is the place to visit. for any occasion romantic, or business, or just for great food you will enjoy every minute of it.
Chowder was cold, lettuce in the salad was limp. Mussels and shrimp were good
Food and service were mediocre, especially for the price. No one in our group enjoyed their food enough to finish it, and two orders were delayed so that we weren’t all able to eat at the same time. As for ambience, it’s a cool space with a nice view of the water but it was so loud with babies crying everywhere we could barely have a conversation. Pretty much a total waste of a couple hundred dollars.
Not a good place for breakfast. There was very little crab on my wife's benedict that it's not worth the 12 dollar addition. Both of our meals were room temperature. And the high rise serving platters they use made it difficult to cut our food
We had heard a lot about the Dead Fish, so we went there with high expectations. We were not disappointed at all, in fact it was better than we imagined. Great food, well prepared by someone who knows how to properly cook a branzino! Very impressed, we'll be back..
Made reservations for 9 waited 20 mins for a waiter to tell me they couldn’t offer me an inside table but one on the back patio . It was very crowded and loud the people next to us were obviously drunk I suggest if they have reservations they actually accommodate those who set them and the food was mediocre.
Great food. Our service was ok. Felt a little rushed but they were very busy. It was a Saturday night so not too worried about that. Other than that great experience. Would for sure go back on a weeknight though!
We had a reservation but was told there would still be an hour wait. My husband will not wait very well
for anything. So we took a seat in the patio area. We were able to seat immediately. However it was freezing cold in spite of the heaters. The place was packed. Unfortunately the food was just average. Or maybe we just couldn’t enjoy it because we were so cold and wanted to just eat and go home to warm up.
Did not disappoint! Warning... parking is a nightmare! Send one of your party into restaurant to confirm reservation. Do NOT wait with your driver, in a parking-mess.
Suggesting that they add valet service. Let employees figure out how & where to park.
Better yet... add a ferry service from a close range point. Drop off at Dead fish dock.
Our entire party was pleased with their order.
The food is amazing, everything I've had has been exceptional
Great stuff, boisterous ambience, really enjoyed our date. Had the black fettuccine with clams. Learned they make the pasta black using squid ink, and it was delicious! LOTS of clams so that was a good value.
